Excessively loud bar and yet no atmosphere.

bad atmosphere, bad vibe from staff. Not a great hostel, go somewhere else in bacalar

⚠️‼️BEDBUG/CHINCHE/PUNAISE DE LIT‼️⚠️dommage que je ne peux pas mettre 0/5, n’allez surtout pas dans cette endroit, nous avons retrouvé à plusieurs reprises des punaises de lit,nous avions une chambre privé! Nous avons informé le personnel qui n’a absolument rien fait malgré les photos et vidéos que je leurs ai montré ainsi que les nombreuses piqûres que nous avons eu! J’ai demandé un remboursement ou un dédommagement, je n’ai eu aucun aucun retour ! Personnel d...

Ik zou men niet aanraden naar dit hostel te gaan. De muziek staat heeeeel luid tot in de nacht, wat je duidelijk hoort in de kamers. Het personeel is onaardig (ze wilden bijv geen geld wisselen in wat kleiner geld en als je om een glas vraagt om water mee te vullen kijken ze je vuil aan). Daarnaast stinken de kamers naar wc/zweet, en lieten bij ons hostelgangers hun ontlasting achter in de wc zonder door te spoelen. De kamers zijn warm en hebben wel airco, maar deze werkt zeker niet voldoende.

Worst place I stayed at. My locker was full of trash, no explanation about the place (rooftop, yoga area etc), music way too loud, pillow from the last century. Each time you go to the bar to order something they ask you to tip. For what?! If sleep is not important to you and it’s all about party, this place might work out for you.

Good hostel! Very party centred and property across the road has loud music until late at night.

Volunteer Staff misbehaves badly, trying to force a 20 year old girl to jump in a pool naked against her will, and days later dances in his underwear on the bar. Other volunteers are also mostly busy with having fun and getting drunk. Ordering something seems impossible task. Too much a party hostel for my taste. AC on freezer setting. Even with hoody and long pants freezing in bed.

I had a guy following me and harassing me from another hostel. He came to this hostel in what appeared to fight me or who even knows. I notified the staff and they didn’t seem to care and instead lied to me and told me he doesn’t stay in this hostel. Long story short I finally was able to get a bus out of town and get them to move me to another hostel which is quite run down. First Che hostel experience and certainly my last.

A drunk 40-year-old man, nearly vomiting, fell on top of us in the room. Despite notifying the staff, they allowed him to stay. At 3 a.m., he opened my bed curtain, pulled down his pants, and urinated in the room entrance. no one even apologized. We also booked transportation to Belize through the hostel and were told we didn’t need cash for the border, but we were scammed and charged 1,000 pesos unnecessarily. too many volunteers and no responsible people on site

The wifi connection is extremely poor and not stable for remote work, it was 1Mb/s!! Due to wifi quality and no co-working space, the staff told us to work at local cafes, which do not exist. Also, they play LOUD music all day until 12am, like a club. The poor wifi and constant music until midnight should have been clearly stated in the description! So we had to check out only after a day (4 remaining nights) and book another place. The manager promised to refund us, but didn’t. TERRIBLE!

It’s a beautiful location with very friendly and helpful staff! Brenda and Diego were fantastic for us and made our sta extra special. It’s also at a great location with a delicious café on the corner and a STUNNING private beach a 5 min walk away. Would love to visit again!

perfect stay, volunteers are very welcoming and chill (thank you Gabo for the amazing animation) and the location is right by the lagoon ! will definitely go back here in the future

I stayed in one of the dorms with larger twin sized beds and it was quite nice. It's pretty laid back and the pool is nice, not too crowded. Music wasn't too loud late at night. It felt like I was interrupting the workers when I checked in though, not as welcoming as Che Tulum where I was welcomed and offered a shot.

I had a great time at Che Bacalar. It was social and all the staff were wonderful! Shout out to Gabriel, Edu, Luciena, Citlali, Diego, Fernanda, Emma and Adriana for making my trip extra special🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼

10/10 recommend!

As always a really fun, vibrant hostel with a friendly staff and a lot going on. They've really increased the prices, however, so the value for your money isn't really what it used to be.

I’m solo travelling and the staff here made me feel really welcome, especially Josie. The rooms are always clean and a good size the bathrooms are nice and have hot water. The social activities and pool are are great also. Thanks to my 3rd Che for another great stay!

Ik heb echt genoten van mijn verblijf in Che! Giselle en Gabo maakten echt overal een feestje van. Leuke uitstapjes en vond de bedden en douches enzo ook wel echt top. Enige wat verbeterd kan worden is dat er drie dakterassen zijn, dus hier zouden ze wel wat mee kunnen doen. Als het bijvoorbeeld regent zijn er weinig plekken om te zitten.

Feels upmarket- great bathrooms and kitchen. good amount of shared spaces for sunbathing. saturday night is very loud till late if ur not joining in the party. lots of organised activities though

Alles top – sauberes Hostel, gute Atmosphäre und insgesamt ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt. Besonders Adriana und Josie vom Personal waren super freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Josie, Adriana and Griss were great helpers, they made me feel welcomed. The facilities were good, the atmosphere was great and I would return again.

Die Stimmung war super und alles sehr sauber! Vorallem Josie, Griss and Adriana waren super freundlich und immer für uns da. Es ist super social und hat eine top Lage mit vielen Aktivitäten und Party
