Rude staff, filthy tents, broken bikes, awful breakfast, and dirty bathrooms. Only the lagoon view is nice. Save your money and go elsewhere!
From the moment of arrival, the service I received was cold, distant and without interest. The so-advertised "free bicycles" were not given to us despite availability of bike-locks. It's clear that the private-tent section is Asana's main focus, whereas the shared dorm is poorly equipped and under-maintained. No bed-structure whatsoever led to me accidentally taking the bed of a fellow traveller, leading to understandable frustrations. Not a success, we ended up leaving for a 50% reimbursement
Die Anlage war bestimmt mal schön, jedoch sind die Tipis vollkommen heruntergekommen und sanierungsbedürftig. Löcher. im Mosquitonetz hat das Schlafen unmöglich gemacht. Die Duschen und Toiletten wirken unsauber, weil sie dringend sanierungsbedürftig sind. Die Liegen, Stühle und Tische an der Lagune sind lieblos und auch in die Jahre gekommen. Das einzig positive an dieser Unterkunft ist ddr Blick auf die Lagune. Die Entfernung zum Zentrum ist zu Fuss nicht möglich und die Fahrräder kapu...
Dorm is right next to main road. Noise is unbearable. Otherwise the location is very nice
Has a lot of potential but the dorms are not clean at all, it seems like they haven’t swept them in ages. Pretty sure there were rats during the night running around. The kitchen would also need a clean and the sink in the bathroom too. Overall the place is cute but if the staff was cleaning it a bit more it could be SO much nicer. Also, love the fact we can rent bikes for free but the bikes are really really terrible. Breakfast is simple but appreciated!
Le lieu est super beau avec accès direct à la lagune et vélos et kayak gratuits. Les équipements de la cuisine pourraient être améliorés (quasi pas de couverts disponibles, 1 seule marmite à dispo, etc). Sinon globalement correct
Endroit magnifique! Le personnel est à l écoute de chaque demande. Les tentes sont très confortables et les repas sont bons. La vue sur la lagune est superbe notamment au lever du soleil. Rien à redire.

It’s very close to the big Main Street so you can hear all the big trucks passing by with so loud sounds all night. Also the dorm is just next to the reception. El lugar es increible ya que hay directo acceso a la laguna y ademas puedes agarrar kayak! Tambien bicis disponibles que eso hace la distancia al pueblo mas corta. La carretera prinvipal esta bastante cerca y se oye bastante en la noche en los dormitorios especialmente, asi que por la noche no se descansa muy bien desafortunadamente... En el dormitorio hay humedad y le falta limpieza...Tambien,el desayuno incluido es muy basico. Tostada y mermelada. Y no habia yoga cuando estuve...
Decent spot , I stayed for a week with my partner. The bikes and canoes are bit worn but free- check you bikes before you roll. Only downside is the tents didn’t lock and they said the kitchen was only for volunteers when we first arrived ..although we just used it anyway and it was fine. Only one fridge so you have to go to the store every day.

Beautiful location with direct access to the lagoon, free kayaks and bikes, modest breakfast. Grand atmosphere, really chill. Very friendly staff and accompanying animals
Such a chill hostel, owners are so lovely and accommodating, great view of the lagoon from the dock.

Super nettes Personal, ruhige Lage
Ein toller Ort zum Entspannen direkt an der Lagune! Die Ausstattung ist einfach gehalten, aber alles was man braucht ist da!
One of the most beautiful place in bacalar. It was perfect to rest and enjoy the laguna. You have access to free kayak and bicycle so its easy to go in town and really nice to enjoy the lagune. Really recommended!

Nice nice hostel! The staff are all super nice and friendly, there’s a basic free breakfast and they have a little restaurant where you can order food. The tents don’t lock but it feels very safe. It’s a little out of town but they have free bikes to use and it’s only a 5 min bike ride away. Only downside is bathrooms are a bit dirty
L’accueil de Dario était très chaleureux dans ce glamping confortable, propre et reposant. Pour un prix tout à fait raisonnable, vous avez accès directe à la magnifique lagoon. Les kayaks, les bicyclettes rudimentaires et un petit déjeuner simple (toasts, un fruit et un bon café) sont inclus. Nous allons certainement y retourner!

Sehr schönes Hostel! Das Dorm ist sehr rudimentär, aber zum schlafen reicht es mehr als aus. Die Lage an der Lagune ist ein ultra Bonus, wirklich ultra schön. Wenn man in die Stadt will, dann muss man quasi Taxi oder Fahrrad fahren, aber auch im Hostel lässt es sich gut aushalten. Kostenlose Kanusund kostenlose Fahrräder werden angeboten. Das Essen was angeboten wird war nicht wirklich gut, und leider auch zu teuer. Sehr nicer und entspannter Vibe.

Such a cute hostel, they provide bikes and kayaks for free. Location is amazing but it’s a little bike ride/taxi away from centre

Loved our stay here ! The staff were lovely, the cabins were great - comfy beds, fan inside. It is literally on the waterfront. You have to get a taxi ( a few pounds) into the main part of town or walk but there isn’t much there - it’s better at the hostel !
