ESPERANTO B&B Surf & Backpacker hostel

Man musste für alles extra zahlen sogar für trinkwasser und handtücher. Bei unserer Ankunft war niemand vorort. Und das frühstück welches inklusive war war ein witz und wir mussten unserer frühstücks Sachen selber spüleny

Situation et équipe sympa ☺️ Nous avions choisi l option d’un dortoir de 4 pour 2 nuits. La nuit nous revenant à 10 dollars avec « petit déjeuner » inclut (fruits café pain et si tu descends trop tard, il y a plus rien). Premier souci : quand on arrive, le gars nous dit que nous n’allons pas pouvoir dormir ensemble la deuxième nuit. 2 : chambre ultra petite pour 4 persos et propreté laisse à désirer +++. Communs sympas mais pas ultra aménagés.

The Breakfast incl only some fruits and the bread is stored in a box with lots of ants around. Rooms are ok, mosquitoe nets have holes, better to sleep without it. Nice view on the last floor

Awefull room, no hot water, no glass in the windows, like are we living in the 1800s ? Only positive point staff is super friendly and helpful

+ Gute Lage und nette Atmosphäre, vorallem auf der Dachterasse. - Die Zimmer waren unfassbar heiß in der Nacht, und das Personal war super häufig nicht auffindbar. Es war zwar nicht dreckig, aber auch nicht richtig sauber. Kein warmes Wasser in den Duschen.

If you hate climbing stairs / tight spaces this isnt for you. staff did great to accomodate for power outages but overall felt like a bleak environment in low season

To be clear: this is a party hostel and not a surf hostel and certainly not quiet (though on the quiet side of town). Wouldn’t recommend for solo female travellers or couples - there is a somewhat seedy and desperate vibe here. We booked for 6 nights and left after 2. Overall we didn’t like the vibe of the hostel: our room was facing the garden, and we were kept awake and again woken up by drunk men waxing philosophical about whether they’d be successful in a fight over warm pilsener. Die Aussicht vom oberen Stockwerk ist wirklich schön. Es gibt ein kleines Frühstück und die Lage ist direkt am Strand. Die Mitarbeiter waren freundlich. Leider war es in diesem Zimmer so derartig heiß, dass ich nach einer Nacht auschecken musste. Es war kaum auszuhalten. Es roch sehr schlecht und war stickig. Der altersschwache Ventilator an der Wand hat nicht geholfen.

Bad organised and confused personal. bathrooms could be cleaner. The Rooftop and the breakfast service were nice .

My favourite hostel in Montañita hands down! Clean, close to the beach but not too close to the noise, helpful manager and volunteers. If you’re looking for a slightly more laid back Montañita experience come here!

Hab mich super wohl gefühlt!! Aussicht ist wunderschön, Personal chillig und angenehme Grundstimmung überall. Nur zu empfehlen wer in Montanita was erleben möchte, aber eine ruhige Unterkunft braucht!

awesome rooftop, nice kitchen, clean bathrooms, nice personal but sadly no ac in the rooms. thats the only dowmside. can highly recommend

La estadía es muy buena, desde que llegas, la atención te hace sentir en confianza, el personal es muy carismático, amable y siempre dispuesto a ayudar. Las habitaciones tienen mucha luz natural, son ventiladas y muy cómodas. El desayuno es delicioso y se disfruta aún más con la vista increíble al mar desde la terraza. Además, la ubicación es perfecta, porque está muy cerca de todo.

there arent many places you find while travelling that give you the feeling of home but this is one of them. With the beach within earshot and the warm welcomes recieved everytime you step inside i couldnt reccomend this place more. Thank you to the people I met and the staff of Esperanto

really good hostel close to the beach, good facilities and friendly staff! I ended up staying over a week while taking surfing lessons

Perfect balance between chill and social. Located in a quiet area, you can actually sleep well at night, but it’s still a short walk to the center if you want to go out. The rooftop is beautiful, perfect for a morning coffee with an ocean view or a beer at sunset. Free coffee all day is a nice touch. Staff and volunteers are super friendly and welcoming. Great vibe overall, I would definitely stay again!

The staff is super welcoming, friendly and helpful and the location is an absolute 10/10z. You wont find anything for such a good price as close to the beach! I would definitely recommend you to stay with them (:

Super Hostel! Auf jeden Fall an alle weiter zu empfehlen die eine gute Zeit am Strand haben wollen. Die Mitarbeiter sind extrem nett, besonders Jose und alle sind zuvorkommend egal was man braucht man bekommt es und nicht nur das auch die Lage ist top! Direkt am Strand und oben von der dachterasse aus hat man einen super Blick! Die Küche ist sauber so wie auch die Zimmer und das Bad. Das Frühstück ist top für den Preis kann man echt nicht meckern! Cool hostel with lovely staff. Granola and yoghurt in the morning is great with coffee. Cool outdoor area with tables and a little gym set up which is a great touch. There is an amazing rooftop terrace where you can check the surf and relax and a good spot to get some admin done! Our room was kinda hot but there was a fan. Staff are really nice and helpful, and can also book snorkelling and a whole lot of different tours with them. Excellent value for money. Highly recommend.

My stay at esperanto was perfect! It is close to the beach, the people who work there are fantastic and the place can be quiet but also filled with life! The travelers that come at esperanto are super nice, social and in for good vibes at the roodtop terrace or down to chill at the beach and/or surf together! There is amazing free granola breakfast with a banana and coffee and you can also cook yourself if you feel like it :) For me this was a perfect stay at the beach in a great hoste...

Das Hostel liegt in einer beliebten Umgebung von Montanita, nur eine Gehminute vom Strand, wo man Surfboards leihen kann und die Wellen genießen. Von der Dachterrasse hat man einen wundervollen Blick und kann nach dem Surfen einfach entspannen. Die Mitarbeiter sind freundlich, sehen jeden Gast und helfen gerne weiter. Mir ging es an ein paar Tagen nicht so gut und die Mitarbeiter waren für mich da. Wenn man alleine reist, ist das so wertvoll. In der Nähe findet man Supermärkte und Restaurant...
