- The place is so old and the photos on bookings.com are different from what you get. Breakfast is small portions like very small.I regret it was waist of money

- The mirror is as very very dirty. I dnt even want to mention breakfast. It was disappointing to say least. The fries and dry muffins they served was a NO NO. The portion are extremely small like a teaspoon kind of serving

- Very disappointed felt like a scam bedding were not washed my child was bit by bed bugs and got an infection rooms are pathetic and needs maintenance the breakfast is horrible i only had it the firsy day not what I expected at all and definitely not worth the price what's shown online and when u actually there it's terrible no proper security to ensure safety in rooms I will surely not be going back there it was my worst stay I ever had was miserable whole stay

+ The standout feature of this guesthouse is undoubtedly its prime location, which places you right in the heart of the city. While the staff are indeed friendly and welcoming, adding a pleasant touch to your stay, it's important to note that the overall experience is somewhat lacking in other areas. The accommodations and amenities leave much to be desired, failing to meet the expectations set by the excellent location and hospitable staff.

- Our experience at this guesthouse was a far cry from what the listing on Booking.com had promised. The property, which was originally designed as a family home, has been poorly and hastily converted into a guesthouse. The layout is highly impractical, with the kitchen situated in the center of the guesthouse, meaning mornings are far from peaceful. Guests have breakfast right outside your door, and the staff starts preparing early, adding to the noise. This isn't the fault of the staff or other guests, but rather a serious design flaw. We had booked two rooms, with mine being touted as the "best in the house." However, there were no closets, and instead of the standard toiletries like shower gel, hand wash, and lotion, we were provided with just a bar of soap. The stand for the hand basin had an untidy partition board awkwardly covering the pipes, and the shower was in dire need of renovation. My room, which was supposed to offer a sea view, indeed faced the sea but also an open deck, allowing other guests to see inside. The leather couch, while I appreciate repurposed furniture for its charm, was old and infested with cockroaches in the morning. Towels were old and scarce, and there was no hairdryer. My partner's room was even worse, with a poorly retrofitted bathroom area and a thin curtain offering little privacy. Considering the price, we have stayed in far better accommodations. It simply isn't worth it. The pool outside my room, fitted on a stand and labeled an "infinity pool," had no railing, posing a significant safety hazard. The beachfront location also meant enduring loud music from beachgoers until the early hours of the morning. We seriously considered leaving a night early but were forced to stay due to lack of availability at our next destination. In hindsight, we should have left regardless. What you see online is definitely not what you get. The place is dirty, badly assembled, and an overall disappointment.

- Building needs attention. The decor was outdated and in poor condition. The breakfast was sorely lacking. There was a terrible smell in the bathroom.

- Piscine trouble jamais nettoyée pendant 5 jours malgré les demandes. Logement vétuste, matériaux de petite qualité (porte, huisseries…), très sonore. En particulier, les vendredi et samedi soir, les animations musicales fort sonores du restaurant-bar qui jouxte l’hôtel empêchent de dormir avant 11h-minuit. Manque d’entretien: serviettes de toilettes usagées, râpées voire déchirées. Balustrade du balcon, à l’étage, rafistolé avec du fil de fer. Bricolage électrique de l’éclairage DANS la douche…..

+ The staff were friendly and helpful. The bed linen was good quality The sound of the sea was very pleasing

- The breakfasts were mediocre. Çleanliness not 100% as one would expect from a hospitality establishment. Around the bottom of shower door, along the rail of the outside sliding door were grubby. The kitchen cupboard doors and handles were noted when looking for a plate for the room, greasy and dirty.. The freezer box in the room fridge had not been defrosted for a long time. There was barely room for the small ice tray provided. Ice is a necessity in the heat of the coast of KZN. The door latch of the sliding door was patched and the lock wasn't conducive to confidence of safe locking. A strong recommendation is that the owners put in sructured carports. Parking under the trees ensure that the car was covered in bird mess. No help was offered to clean this off. It is a shame that the palm trees in all the photos on Booking.com of the front have been removed. Not one remained. The pool was murky and that's a pity. Supervision and care to detail is not present.

+ The Location of the guest house is incredible. Right on the beach. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are excellently appointed. The breakfast was brilliant (if anything too much!:D). Highly recommended!

- The venue needs a spring cleaning from the outside, Cut out old plants,Wash the curtains and windows down stairs(Where the cleaners or caretaker lives). Inverst in paint through out the property and also make use off new or thoroughly cleaned crockery & cutlery . The kitchen and bathrooms in the rooms needs ventilation. The place has high potential just needs love and attention Also the breakfast was the same and the fries were burned. Either than the above the ladies were absolutely great, filled with Humity and helpful.

+ De ligging is prachtig. De auto staat veilig achter een hek. De kamer is zeer schoon. Het personeel is echt super lief en behulpzaam.

- Het super kleine zwembadje was zo vies dat we er niet in durfden te gaan. Matrassen waren te hard. Het is eigenlijk wat vervallen en dat is jammer voor zo’n mooie locatie.

+ The view is the best part of this place. Big comfortable bed and the beach is literally across the road with a restaurant just next door.

- Facility is outdated and could be cleaner Attention to detail could be worked on and upgraded.

+ Good Breakfast Staff very friendly and helpful. Swimming pool not clear and all round the place needs a facelift.

+ Locations it is close to thr beach, my room had a balcony with an Ocean view, it was beautiful, very close to Umhlanga CBD.
