My stay at Smith's cottage really gave Durban a special place in my heart and I'll definitely back! ❤️

Pat is an amazing host! Lovely old soul reminds me of my Grandma. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their stay! Beautiful cosy little home..definitely a home away from home..There was a big Beautiful Christmas Tree in the living room..very welcoming atmosphere..will definitely stay there in the future! 🥰

The owner was super and terribly rude, I called her a day before to confirm my booking and the check in time as i needed an earlier time, which she did confirm that I can come check in anytime before 8PM, we got there from the moment she came out of the house she was so rude and so condescending like why are you here so early in the morning, people are still sleeping despite that I called to check if that was okay. I wouldn't stay there, I cancelled on the spot and left.

Wonderful location in Northern Durban. Pat and Keith will do anything to make the most of your time in Durban. Rooms and bathrooms are very clean and the property is gated with security. Highly recommended! Thank you for everything Pat and Keith!

It was a very nice stay, lovely place, kind people, close to the beach and the city, safe place.

The place is cute and quiet which is nice after a long trip. I was very well received by the owners who are lovely and did everything they could to help me have the best possible stay in their! I recommend this beautiful accommodation !

Great property to enjoy and chill. Great hospitality as well. You can get an amazing pool garden experience with grills and can enjoy a cozy experience in the common room as well. In concern of security, the security is great and you can roam at the premises over night as well.

I stayed in this hostel about a year ago, and was amazed by how welcoming and hospitable Pat and her husband Keith were. Brilliant value for money too.

Very nice charming accommodation, of high standard, clean & very good value for money. Friendly and helpful owner and staff. This will be my stop in Durban every time.

Lovely hostel with an amazing host family that make you feel at home the entire time you are there. The location is in a safe area, a little far from the centre but still not too bad. Everything was perfectly clean and the whole place was really nice with a good outdoor area and pool. Had an enjoyable time there

It's in a quiet and safe neighborhood, though you have to travel a ways to see most of the attractions in Durban. The hosts were super nice.

This was a dream hostel for someone who looks for more quiet places to stay. The owners make you feel at home and the location is in a safe neighborhood close enough to the city that it's easy to catch an affordable uber.

The most welcoming family owners, the set up here is amazing, atmosphere is great, always someone on hand for information and local knowledge. highly recommend, can't fault it

Wir waren die Einzigen Gäste - wegen Corona ist leider immer noch wenig los. Sehr herzliche Hosts, mit guten Tipps, Kaffee und Tee wenn man ankommt und einer sehr sauberen Unterkunft. Wir haben uns hier extrem wohl gefühlt! Gerne wieder!

It was a nice stay. The host gave my a good tip for a cheap way to theire hostel and piced my up at the shuttle station and went shopping with me. They gave me a lot of Information about Durban. Some locales from the neigborhood came over too and i could learn a lot about South Africa. Its a lovelay Couple hosting and when i come back i will stay theire surely another time.
