Alex Ha Long

Really not great tbh. The beds are dead uncomfy, it’s incredibly antisocial, in a pretty rubbish location and is just largely a waste of money. Don’t bother.

Not a great stay

Don’t stay in Ha Long at all! Either stay in Hanoi and do the halong bay as a trip or stay at Cat Ba, bed etc and room were ok, only other issue we had was a lady who worked there, we had agreed prices for the trip with the bloke who ran it, he was very helpful, however the lady had no idea she tried charging us extra, we then sorted a bus through her, after an hour the bus driver was demanding money of us as she hadn’t paid or I don’t think even spoke to the driver.

Not a bad stay. Clean and quiet. not social

I had to low my punctuation cause I got food poisoning with their breakfast. Super upset cause in general was a good stay. You should be more careful with the food that you serve

I don’t know if I went on bad season or Ha Long is always empty but the atmosphere was not that I expected. Nothing to say about the hostel. Good breakfast, cleaned room and nice staff

Good staff, not in a great place.

the property stated that reception was open 24H, we arrived at 5am after getting a night bus to Ha Long, we arrived at the hostel for it to be closed, the door was unlocked so we let ourselves in and all the lights were off. spent multiple attempts calling them with no luck, ended up sleeping on the floor for a couple hours until 7:30am. security finally woke up and saw us and we were able to check in with them asking we hadnt called, showing them we called multiple numbers 20+ times.

Great place to stay lovely rooms. Very helpful and friendly staff. Great breakfast.

We had a short but very nice stay at Alex hostel. We would have stayed longer if we could have. Alex is a very kind and helpful and he gives good advise for your stay.

great hostel we had a free breakfast in the morning before boat trip which we booked through this hostel- made it a lot cheaper than online. comfy beds and clean environment we had a great time as a group of 18 -19 year old girls ( group of 5)

Amazing value

The nicest owner we had on our whole 2 1/2 months in Asia. He’s welcoming and so helpful. He put gas in our bike so we didn’t have to wake up early for the ferry. He let us take a hot! shower after checking out, gave us new towels as well. The beds were comfortable and the rooms are really clean.

Super friendly staff, comfortable beds and everything you need. No social hostel but the location is really good.

Very clean, and close to food spots and activities

Netter Besitzer, der sehr hilfreich war. Zimmer waren einfach aber total ausreichend und geräumig. Es war nicht allzu viel los, was sehr entspannt war. Wir würden wieder kommen :)

Værelserne var super fine og renlige, samtidig var ejeren så sød og hjælpsom. Stor anbefaling:))

Super nice place and nice owners. It’s in a great central location and is clean. Was quite quiet when I was there but the owner was very helpful

Gastgeber sind eine super freundliche Familie. Preisleistung ist unschlagbar, das Frühstücksangebot auch Top. Weiß ehrlich gesagt nicht wie man eine Übernachtung für 3€ inclusive Brötchen, Omlet, frisches Obst und Kaffee und Tee anbieten kann. Einen Pool Tisch gab es auch und die Lage ist top, also alles in allem nur zu empfehlen.

The owners were so kind and hospitable! I can’t recommend this hostel more.

Really good value, showers were warm, beds spacious, and had a pillow and cushion which I've been missing in other hostels so it's easy to chill in bed. The hosts were so kind and helpful, and booked me a day cruise for just £22 which was the cheapest I could find. I would definitely recommend !

I had an amazing day cruise that I booked through Alex, his English was brilliant which made booking A LOT easier, he helped me pick the right one for my budget and went out of his way to cater as I’m a very picky eater! Thanks so so much had an awesome Halong bay cruise! 🚢

The only negative is the matresses, which are much too hard

Noi is super sweet and helps you plan everything, he learns everyones names and genuinly cares. The place is nice and clean and I made friends at this hostel. The breakfast is great and great value for money.
