The effluent of the baths has been permanently smelling and the door cannot be opened without locking it but all this could be overseen if one had not put oneself in life-threatening danger at night temperatures in that stuffy room without a window. I only slept there for two nights but got circulatory problems and became ill for a week
Upon arrival, I had to go up 3 floors to the roof cafe to find someone who worked there so I was able to check in. Room was cold, damp, with pieces of the wall falling off and had no windows. As it was my last night in India I didn’t stay there, as I chose to go to a hotel across the road. Again, struggled to find anyone to check out, found my passport photocopy just laying on the desk with no one around and accessible to anyone who walked in.
This wasn’t a great stay. Staff unfriendly. Not super clean. Alleyway entry to the hostel is guarded by a troop of very aggressive monkeys who will try to steal your stuff, so make sure you have your rabies shot. I think in Agra you can probably do better, which is saying a lot.
My bed looked freshly made and clean, however my en-suite bathroom had not been cleaned - and there was a hole in the wall to let all the mosquitoes in.
Great location but… I can't recommend this hostel to any female traveller, solo or otherwise. Even staying with my (male) partner, I was made to feel over and over that my thoughts/opinions were dismissed & didn't matter. I wanted to like the owner/manager but at every interaction during our stay found myself disappointed and quite sad with how I was treated.
Owner very informative and even picked me up from the train station for free. However as a solo female traveller I felt very uncomfortable with the owner and staffs bedroom being directly across from my own. At one point a member of staff knocked on my door at 9.30pm to ask me to play cards which I found really creepy. Had to pay extra for a room with air conditioning and no kitchen facilities as originally advertised. Room was a bit smelly also. Overall didn't really enjoy my stay.
Unfortunately was a bit unpleasant - the dorm had no windows and was quite stuffy, the lockers had trash in them, the bathroom needed a clean and there was no toilet paper, and the soap needed to be refilled.
Not better than other Indian standard hostels
Realmente me alojé en este hostal porque en las fotos se ve que hay mucho ambiente pero es todo lo contrario porque todo aburrido, el cuarto super caliente (lo bueno que había ventilador o si no hubiera terminando yéndome de ahí), mi cambio de dinero se tardaron en dármelo hasta el final de mi estancia.
I actually stayed in this hostel because in the photos you can see that there is a lot of atmosphere but it is quite the opposite because everything is boring, the room super hot (it is a good thing that there was a fan or if I had not finished leaving there), my change of money took a long time to give me until the end of my stay.
Great hostel with a good location! The owner Bobby is very knowledgeable and helpful, however it’s a very quiet hostel for sure.

The Hostel is in walking distance from the Taj Mahal and Metro Station. The owner was very nice and helped me organising my stay and transportation!
I loved this hostel! The location is amazing, with many great places for breakfast and dinner right out front. If you don't feel like going out, you can get a meal on the rooftop. They were very accommodating; for example, I ordered a non-spicy chicken masala and they prepared it perfectly. The internet is excellent, and I was able to work without any issues. A huge thank you to the manager for the late check-out and to the entire staff for their hospitality!

The hostel was great. The dorm was super clean and the rooftop is really beautiful. I had breakfast both mornings, it’s freshly cooked and soo good!! Really good people working there :) and it’s only a 15 walk in a good area to the Taj Mahal.

really enjoyed my stay here, being so close to the Taj mahal and being on more of a quiet road is what really sold it for me, the staff were extremely helpful ababd very accommodating as on one or two of the days I wasn't feeling the best so had no problems with being able to book for an extra night or two, all staff had good recommendations for stuff to do and the view from the roof was really nice aswell, had a very chilled vibe to the hostel and will definitely book again if I'm back in agra
My stay at Big Brothers Hostel was simply incredible. The place is clean, beautiful, and very well equipped, with everything you need to feel at home. But what truly makes the difference is the staff, who are not only friendly but always willing to help. Amazing place! You’ll be staying walking distance from Taj Mahal, at Taj East Gate Road, a super quiet and beautiful pedestrian street full of places to eat and buy whatever you want. Highly recommended
Esperienza impeccabile. Innanzitutto la posizione è perfetta, 10 minuti a piedi dal Taj Mahal. L’ostello è uno dei più puliti che ho visto. Vista dalla terrazza mozzafiato. Inoltre Bobi è un proprietario gentilissimo, sempre disponile ad aiutare. Consiglio a tutti. Grazie Big Brother Hostel!
impeccable experience. first of all the location is perfect, 10 minutes walk from the taj mahal. the hostel is one of the cleanest i have ever seen. view from the breathtaking terrace. plus Bobi is a very nice owner, always available to help. i would recommend everyone. thank you big brother hostel!
Good stay for singles and couples
We enjoyed our stay at Big Brother. The location was great - walking distance to the Taj Mahal, and the rooftop terrace was lovely for relaxing.
I stayed at Bobby’s hostel for the second time, and it was just as great as before! This time, I even brought my mom along, and she loved it too. The place is super close to the Taj Mahal, which made sightseeing really easy. Bobby is a fantastic host friendly and helpful 🫂 Highly recommend for anyone visiting the area ❤️
The hostel is super chill and a very good spot to rest up. When I was there, they were working to make a cafe on the rooftop, complimented by the incredible view of the Taj, so I’ll be looking forward to returning someday to appreciate that. Further, the owner let me stay and take a nap long after my checkout time bc we got up early to see the Taj, so that was very much appreciated! He also arranged my uber to show up right to the door step. If you come to Agra, stay here!
