Butterfly Hostel Pai

Warning! Bungalow is overpriced for what it offers. Room is dark with no natural light. Wi-Fi connection was so bad that is was not usable in the room. Cleaning is done only every three days, and they reuse the same dirty shower mat for all guests. Rooms are just swept, not mopped. Room was never really clean. Overall, poor value for the price. The worst part of this stay is the owner—childish, unprofessional and highly emotional. Got loud and hostile. Avoid!

I dropped the laundry off at the hostel I do not know if they do it in-house or if they export their services. Lost over $200 usd of my laundry

Ik had bedbugs in het bed. Het is een duurdere accommodatie voor de bungalows, maar deze waren verouderd, veel scheurtjes enzo. Uitzicht en ontbijt is wel top. Maar ontbijt start pas om 9u.

Whilst we enjoyed our stay, the accommodation was very different from the pictures online. We booked a private room for 2 people which was a squeeze to say the least… The place was clean and staff were friendly. Not sure we would pay for a private room again given the chance.

I paid relatively much for the location and the hostel. I didn’t think it was that tidy. Also not very social, but this not really within control of the hostel. I personally wouldn’t book again. Then again I don’t know what other hostels in Pai are like.

The rooms are not too great. The breakfast is nice and the common areas are nice but one night was enough for me as the toilet and showers were really not at a high standard even for a hostel. Also very far from walking street but if you have a bike it ok

The location of this hostel is really nice, really scenic grounds are nice to chill in. However, the room was extremely damp with a horrible smell; with the bathroom being ten times worse with visible black mould all over it. Wouldn’t recommend to stay longer than a night or two here.

The hostel is located just outside of town (20 minute walk). The beds are very comfortable but there’s no privacy. The bathroom didn’t look very clean. Easy to meet people here if you’re a solo traveler like I am.

Quiet place, outdoor facilities were lacking maintenance (hammocks etc). There were lots of little biting bugs outside so hard to chill. Bungalow was simple. Staff were friendly and had a pool table. 10 min road walk from town. Can rent a scooter though.

Stayed in the private bungalow - barely any space, bathroom was slanted. AC and fridge were fine. Free coffee, tea and water.

Amazing garden and nice rooms, staff is very helpful and offer rides to go to the city center (it is also a walking distance of 10 minutes). Would highly recommend if you're looking to stay a bit away from the party and enjoy a relaxing atmosphere!

Great hostel! I stayed here for 4 nights in a triple private air con room. Room was basic but can’t complain for money. There was no breakfast available but hostel provides free tea and coffee every morning until 12pm. Hostel is around a 15 min walk into town, but they do have a shuttle free of charge until 10pm too. Hostel staff were friendly and helpful. The hostel was quiet, and had a large garden area with hammocks and loungers. Shower wasn’t hot hot but was okay. Overall great value for...

Definitely a must, I found my favourite place at Butterfly Hostel! I upgraded to the bungalow, such an idyllic place!

Die Betten sind sehr gemütlich. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut :) es gibt Früchte und Rührei Pancakes und Toast etc. Das Hostel liegt etwas außerhalb der Stadt, aber zwischen 9 und 22 Uhr kann man an der Rezeption immer ein Shuttle bestellen, der einen in die Stadt fährt. Und per WhatsApp kann man dann Bescheid geben, wenn man wieder abgeholt werden möchte. :)

Looooved our stay here! We got a private bungalow with the garden view. It was so peaceful, the aircon was good in the room and the bed was comfortable! The breakfast buffet was also really nice. There is a free sidecar ride into town, but if you were to walk it’s about 15 minutes. I would recommend!!!

Absolutely loved my stay here at the Butterfly Hostel. Wonderful, friendly and helpful staff, really comfortable beds and spacious rooms, an amazing breakfast buffet each morning with a great variety of foods, a free dinner every Wednesday which was a great touch and the meal was delicious. 5 minute drive/20 minute walk from the centre of Pai which I think is a good thing because it offers a quieter experience whilst also being close to everything. 100% recommend

The hostel had a free buffet breakfast included which was absolutely delicious. The staff were so helpful and friendly and there was even a free shuttle that could take you into town. The rooms were spotless and the beds super comfy. I would 100% recommend to stay here in Pai.

We had a great stay here, free breakfast was great and was such a nice chilled atmosphere! Was slightly out of town but very walkable and they have a free shuttle :)

Amazing experience, staff was super helpful and friendly, always available to help. There is even a free shuttle to go to town which is super efficient and helpful when it’s too hot to walk. The breakfast is amazing, so much fruit, French toast, eggs, yogurt, coffee and much more. There is also a HUGE garden out back only for the guests of the hostels which is full of hammocks and chill places to read and relax. I loved Pai largely thanks to this hostel.

Fantastic hostel! I absolutely loved my time there, very comfy bed and good breakfast and there is a beautiful garden with hamacs to relax in. It's about 15 min walk to the center, but they also offer a shuttle service. It is not the most social hostel in terms of activities, but they have a nice common area with a pool table and I became good friends with other people staying there!

We enjoyed our stay here. The beds were really comfy. The bathroom was basic and shower was freezing and couldn’t change it. Breakfast was really good. About a 15 minute walk into the centre of Pai.

I really loved this hostel they are so kind and the bed is probably the most comfortable one I have ever had in my travels. The overall vibe of the place is really nice with a place to chill outside. The only thing is i found it a bit hard to meet people as most people seemed to already have friends. The location is a bit far from things so having a scooter was key. The staff are so kind and the breakfast is top notch, would stay again!

We had a great stay at Butterfly, location is a little out of the main town but walkable and they offer a shuttle. Also allowed us to explore other areas! The breakfast is fab, and we were lucky enough to be there for family dinner too! We were so well looked after here, even leaving with a bag full of Yorkshire tea bags to take on our travels with us. Nice hostel in a beautiful setting, overall clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and had a good sense of humour, which made interactions easy and welcoming.

Great hostel in a relaxing area, very easy to get a good nights sleep. Free breakfast was a bonus too! I was lucky to be there for the family dinner as well. A little bit out of the centre, but there is a free shuttle and the walk is only 10/15 mins. Would recommend!
