At first glance, the hotel looks friendly. Like a youth hostel, not too clean, not too tidy. The location is average, there are many a better place. But do keep away. You might be arrested if ever you cross the hotel owner. It seems he is fed up with foreign guests. He won't bother talking to you. He will just ruin your vacations if not worse with the help of complacent police officers and a terrified staff

Unbelievable, They don't accept Albanian guests in Albania. After receiving racism from hole world now we receive racism from our own country. They try to play the role that they are opened minded, peace, love, loatki,we are all the same but they are not. How do you want to introduce your culture to the tourist forbidden to them the contact with the locals. You can do better.. 😢

I wouldn’t recommend this place at all! I slept in a 2 persons bedroom. The room seemed nice at first, but after a couple of minutes we noticed that that wasn’t the case. - the shower was broken - toilet seat was broken - weird stains on the bedsheets - trash from other people on the floor - brown stains on the walls This was not even everything. We came here with quite a big group. When we arrived we got to know that it was not possible to stay there with such a big group. They said they sent us emails but we received nothing. Best of all is that they were claiming that we must have had the messages which was not the case!! Being arrogant to visitors is certainly not the way to go. The rooms were furthermore clean if you like to be watching yourself all the time. It was one big mirror, you had the impression that you were being watched...

Volunteering isn’t for everyone. Volunteeing is supposed to be selfless, this hostel has too many volunteers who are neither inclusive nor kind.

I was trying to eat my supper. And a stray dog walked into the kitchen trying to eat my Caviar.

the hostel really is only good for people who what to get drunk or are stoned all the times. Beds: wet, Shower: dirty, no towels, had the worst sleep bevor the hike. They're also not really that helpful planning trips - they couldn't answer half of the questions. If you're a 20 year old Australian who wants to get wasted it'll be alright tho.

both receptionists were not willing to give info about the return bus to monte negro. so, i had to go after myself. also, the volunteers forced the convivial ambience many times. on the other hand, the manager and the cooker were nice.

Nice people but activities are scam and very expensive with little to no service

Een echte aanrader! Super vriendelijk ontvangen, schoon sanitair en goede bedden. Wij hebben veel tips ontvangen over activiteiten in de omgeving vanuit het hostel. De host heeft ons vervoer van en naar theth/Valbona geregeld. Het was makkelijk om je spullen in het hostel achter te laten, terwijl snachts in de bergen sliepen. Verder kun je er gezellig een drankje doen en hadden wij makkelijk contact met andere gasten die ons tips gaven over andere bezienswaardigheden in de verre omgeving. Het be...

La nostra estada al hostel ha estat breu no obstant els propietaris han estat encantadors. Un ambient molt acollidor i facil, moltes persones d'arreu, lstaff ha procurat generar un espai d'interacció entre totes les hostes, molt més que recomanable!

Ostello davvero ottimo, molto economico. Staff amichevole e molto accogliente, come avere una seconda casa. Consigliatissimo.

Un endroit merveilleux ! Le personnel est très à l’écoute, et très réactif. Il y a une très grande cour et une énorme cuisine en plus de l’espace bar. De quoi pouvoir profiter pleinement de son séjour dans un endroit calme et agréable

Eine Oase in Shkodra. Die Inhaber sind hoch motiviert und hilfsbereit in jeder Lage. Insgesamt ist das Platzangebot innen wie draußen sehr geräumig. Die Lage ist perfekt, ca. 5 Minuten vom Busbahnhof entfernt. Wir haben hier wunderbare Tage verbracht.

Mon hostel préféré durant les 1 mois de mon voyage en Albanie. Tout était parfait, les chambres spacieuses, grande cuisine avec tous les ustensiles, ambiance géniale avec de supers volontaires, et évidemment une raki excellente ! Mention spéciale à Asja qui rendra votre séjour merveilleux grâce à sa gentillesse, ses conseils et sa bonne humeur.

Geweldig hostel! We hebben een heerlijke tijd gehad in The Galley. We voelden ons helemaal thuis. De vrijwilligers, werknemers, vrienden van het hostel, de gasten, iedereen was prettig en open-minded. Het was de bedoeling om 1 nacht de overbruggen maar we bleven uiteindelijk 5 nachten. Het sanitair is schoon, heerlijke douche, goede bedden. We waren benieuwd naar een speciaal Albanees gerecht ‘Jufka’, dit gerecht is alleen in het midden van Albanië te verkrijgen. Wir können nichts zu den Zimmern sagen, da wir dort nicht übernachtet haben. Aber das Hostel hat für uns trotzdem eine Tour nach Theth/Valbona(Hiking) arrangiert und uns bei auftauchenden Problemen sehr geholfen! Mike, der Chef, war außerordentlich zuvorkommend, sehr freundlich und wir haben tolle Unterhaltungen geführt. Wir können das Hostel uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Das Hostel bietet eine tolle Atmosphäre,bietet jeden Tag tolle Aktivitäten an und alle sind sehr offen und freundlich. Besonders zu erwähnen ist die TagesTour nach Theth mit Jack. Das muss man einfach mal gemacht haben wenn man schon in Shkodra ist.

10/10 Die Badezimmer sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber alles trotzdem ohne Probleme. Adam, einer der freiwilligen, hat den Pub Crawl Abend eingeläutet mit ein paar trinkspielen. Er hat das super gemacht und wirklich jeder wurde herzlich willkommen geheißen, so dass alle spas haben konnten. Aber das ganze Team macht einen tollen Job, alle sorgen dafür dass man einen tollen Aufenthalt hat. Egal ob man trinkt oder nicht, man hat definitiv eine tolle Zeit hier ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The best hostel I’ve been to! All of the staff and volunteers are so welcoming and engaging. A very sociable hostel offering the chance to meet many new friends. Lots of activities to do every day which are so fun! Can’t recommend this place enough!

Un superbe hostel où tout le monde est très accueillant. Sydney est adorable et tous les autres volontaires aussi ! L’hostel est super bien situé, propre et a tout ce dont on a besoin. Il y a tous les jours des activités nocturnes (jeux, pub crawl, etc) et tous les jours des activités pour découvrir la ville (rivière, parc Teth, shopping…) Mention spéciale à Tony avec qui on a passé un après midi à la rivière.. ☺️ Encore merci à toute l’équipe !!
