Budgett Hostels

Vond het hostel echt enorm duurt voor wat je krijgt. Allemachtig. Heb veel hostel gezien in mijn leven maar dit was de slechtste prijs/kwaliteit verhouding ooit. Mijn grootste reis/boek fout ooit.

They overcharged me. Not that price is not how it appears on hostelworld!!

The bathroom was really bad , it was really less than one meter. We were 7 people using this bathroom.

simpele kamer, er hing nog een handdoek en er kwam rioollucht uit de badkamer. Oke voor een nacht.

The room was ice cold. The bed was very short and also extremely uncomfortable to sleep in. The location was the only plus with this stay, but not worth the price.

Entrance was through a hotel on another street, small plastic toilet + shower and there were only bedsheets to cover the pillow and blanket with. Still a good location and felt safe.

Lage super. Parkhausgebühren: da habe ich 20€ zum Fenster rausgeworfen, weil mich das Hotel nicht richtig beraten hat, sehr ärgerlich. Kkasse großen Frühstücks- und Barbereich zum chillen. Nette Barkeeper. Das Bad ist miniklein, man muss schon gelenkig sein. Würde beim nächsten mal eine Stufe mehr Komfort wählen, was das Zimmer betrifft, welches auch nicht so superbillig war. Groningen ist eine Reise wert, aber teuer.

Staff was good and cooperative, but room was dead cold, we have to request for heater to survive during our stay. It was more a hotel atmosphere. Their was common area to hangout, but dead cold, so no one wanted to be hanging out. In common area, microwave worked at weird setting, water kettle hardly worked, and no wash basin in a kitchen area. For breakfast you have to pay additional 10 euro.

The room was freezing, I ended up sleeping wearing gloves and my winter coat. It was pretty much deserted when I visited so there was no atmosphere. The common room is uncomfortable so nobody goes there to hang out and socialize. The space felt dingy, dirty, and soulless. Also you have to log back into the wifi every hour, which is annoying. I will be returning to Groningen but I will be booking other accommodations.

The actual bedroom is very small, but the hostel is managed by the adjacent hotel so there is access to hotel breakfasts, a bar / lounge etc.

The location is perfect. Staff was kind and helpful. The room was not same in the photo in the website and we got a little refund because of this.

Es war insgesamt ein schöner Aufenthalt im Hostel. Ich war in einem Zweibett-Zimmer allein untergebracht. Zu zweit wäre es dort sehr beengt. Die Klimaanlage im Zimmer hat gut funktioniert. Das Hostel ist nur ca. 15 Minuten Fußweg vom Bahnhof Groningen entfernt. Das Frühstück kostet extra, ist sein Geld aber wert. Es gibt reichlich Auswahl. Die Mitarbeitenden waren sehr nett.

A really good value-- central, great breakfast, lounge area with refrigerator and microwave. Staff kind and friendly, though it was a bit confusing to go through the hotel around the corner to get into the hostel. Just one issue with what seemed to be a window left open during the night and banging in the wind. A very pleasant stay overall.

Nice hostel, was there in the off season, so not many people, but I enjoyed that about the hostel. I stayed in a private room for a good deal. The check in is through martini hostel. They had a grand piano in the bar which you were free to play. Having access to a piano is hard to come by when I am traveling, so I took full advantage of it while I was there! Would absolutely stay again.

It’s not that many people staying in this hostel, but it’s a perfect place to sleep and have as a start point to explore the city! The lockers are very small so my bag couldn’t fit inside. I need to empty it and lock it under the bed instead. There is not really a kitchen but they have a microwave, a fridge,plates, glasses and utensils.
