Praktisch gelegen und gut, um sich mit anderen Reisenden zu vernetzen. Das Personal spricht leider kein Wort Englisch und konnte daher keine Fragen beantworten oder sonst irgendwie helfen. Unser Zimmer war direkt neben der Katzen Unterkunft, die uns in der Nacht wach gehalten haben. Ich würde es nicht unbedingt weiter empfehlen

L'habitació que ens van donar estava al pis de baix i feia molta olor a gats i gossos. Havíem reservat l 'habitacio amb wc privat però ens van dir que no funcionava. Si busques un allotjament sense pretensions, com ells informen a la seva web, aquest és el teu lloc, però si busques una mica de comoditat no.

It's been a bit chaotic, and I understand it is not the on-site staff's fault, she was very nice when I arrived, but since they received many bookings at the same time from various platforms (because of the carnival's popular dates), they had to cancel some of them. I didn't really like the way I was asked to to a PayPal money transfer in order to keep my booking active and switched to a shared room for the price of the single room I had paid for. But my stay has been comfortable.

The experience varies from different rooms, it was very disgusting when I was in private room, smelled like cat s*** and heard the noise whole night. But when I moved to dorm room, it was good, just 2 beds. Staffs don’t speak English, when I asked the about day tour, they don’t understand my request at all.

Alles in allem gut. Leider nicht ganz so modern und ordentlich, aber wen das nicht stört, sollte keine Probleme haben. Personal ist dafür aber Super!

This is an absolutely fine "cold shower hostel" as you will find it in many tropical countries. A bit chaotic, but in a fun way, and an interesting co-existence with the animal shelter part of the organization. There was one particularly loud cat that cried like a baby all day and night - we won't miss her but it was still nice to have the animals around. We stayed here twice in a row and would book again.

Generally good vibe, like any hostel it changes depending on who is there. Staff are wonderful & so are the cats 🐱

Silvia, volunteers, employees, animals made my trip unforgettable! I've loved anything there and will surely return if again in Mindelo. Special vibes that I recommend to anyone passing in Sao Vicente. Silvia thanks for your generosity!! Love, Rubi

Very cheap place to stay with a lovely owner who's profits all go to help stray dogs and cats in Sao Vicente so it's hard to be too judgemental. I only stayed for one night but overall cheap and the room was very clean with a fan, window and towels provided. No hot water which I didn't like and the shower room smelt a bit. Toilet room was clean as was the property as a whole. I would return

Great place to be in Mindelo! Silvia is such a nice and helpful owner! She answers all your emails and questions, can give you advice on everything. She also helped me with belongings I forgot in the room. She really cares about her guests! Rooms are nice and clean, beds are comfortable, comunal rooms are cosy, the kitchen is well equipped, location is very central. Just perfect! I will come back soon!
