Normandie Hostel

+ Despite the review, I actually liked the place. I've stayed here twice. The first time I had no incidents, and found the place clean. This 2nd time I stayed convinced me to not come back. * The staff were sparse, but my interactions with them were friendly. They really did seem to care about the place, but the clientele and neighborhood make their job tough. * The individual beds did have curtains and power plugs inside each one, which was convenient. * Shower was clean, and towels were provided.

- * Kitchen sink was super clogged and unusable during my stay, and completely filled to the brim. The first night there was also no dish soap (it did appear on later nights). * No utensils or dishware in the kitchen. * Bathroom ran out of toilet paper, without replacement available in the bathroom. I happened to find staff nearby when I had to urgently go, who had to go to the garage to retrieve toilet paper, but had I had the need before noontime, I would've been screwed. * Shower had soap and shampoo dispensers, but they were empty my entire stay. * Some guy was sleeping at the dining room table overnight multiple nights. To be fair, I also saw the staff telling him the 2nd night that he had to book a room or leave, but it was tolerated for at least 1 night. * Random people were able to enter my room through the sliding glass door, bypassing the keypad lock on the room door. * My car's catalytic converter was stolen when parked on the street immediately in front of the hostel, overnight on the first night I stayed there (Christmas Eve of all nights). I can't blame the owners for this, but I feel people should be aware. (Multiple catalytic converters were stolen from cars on the block that night.) Neighbors and hostel workers told me after the theft that this is apparently semi-common, and "this is the season" for that. * Security cameras looked like they were posted throughout the property, including one pointing out front, but when I asked for footage for the catalytic converter theft, they told me that the camera subscription hadn't been paid for by the owner for 3+ months, and that they only had a live feed without the ability to go back in the recording.

- Primero había un olor a excremento de gato por todo el departamento que atravesaba desde el primero al tercer piso eso era demasiado fuerte el olor, este olor atravesaba la cocina y era imposible comer ahí. Cabe destacar que el gato era del primer piso del propietario del primer piso Segundo el techo estaba abierto por lo cual justo nos tocó mucha lluvia y se inundó todo el tercer piso incluso entrando el agua a nuestra pieza el agua caía por las escaleras hacia la cocina y el primer piso el dueño nunca hizo nada

- Feo ambiente, gente muy desagradable, se vendia droga pasillos y el olor a marihuana no te dejaba respirar, chicas desnudas se paseaban por el patio, etc...no es para familias ni viajeros solitarios Estuve esperando 1 hora eb la puerta qye la llave habrá y nunca lo hizo tuve que rentar otro hotel ya puse fotos que certifican todo antes

- Nunca pude entrar me tuvieron 1 hora en la puerta, la cerradura estaba rota y nunca pudieron abrir la puerta despues de probar muchísimas llaves, tuve wye rentar otro hotel Aparte se ve que allí vive fijo mucha gente rara, se paseaban con poca ropa, bailaban con la puerta de l habitación abierta , etc Todo bastante deplorable, no es un lugar para hospedarse.Booking debería inspeccionar mejor antes de ofrecer este tipo de lugares donde las fotos son lindas pero luego el ambiente y el trato son de lo peor , ni hablar el personal que ni siquiera ofreció una disculpa

- Don't put your card there, they only ask for it through Booking.com. They just charged me a large amount without my permission.
