+ the staff was nice
- well be aware that apart from bpoking price [that says taxes and charges included] you will be charged 70mxn pesos extra for night which is ridiculous and should be mentioned on booking price, room dont have key/cards so basically anybody can come and grab your stuff, also toilets dirty old and no proper door, door covers only till neck height so there is plenty of mosquitos and cant even shower in peace. also the bed socket wasnt working at all sp i could not get the job done on my laptop, avoid at all cost

- sul pagamento in carta credito applicano un sovrapprezzo aleatorio. Rispetto al prezzo chiuso con Booking, aggiungono anche una fantomatica "tassa", nonostante il breakdown del prezzo di Booking includa già imposte e tax soggiorno. Da condizioni di Booking poi non dovrebbero accettare cash e usarte solo carta credito: fanno esattamente il contrario e aggiungono extracosti non dovuti. Il dormitorio è in cattive condizioni, la pulizia è gropssolana

+ 完全沒有，住宿品質很差
- 我訂四人房，但直接把我移到八人房的位置，網站上也沒說要另外付環境費，到了住宿現場才知道，房門的鎖也很差，感覺很不安全
- We booked this place for a couple of nights and the first day we rented a scooter from the hostel to go to Coba which was approximately a 45 minute drive.. all went well at first but when we were about to leave coba and take the scooter the key wasn’t turning.. the scooter wouldn’t start.. we had multiple people coming up to us for help (around 20 people) and no one could start the scooter.. we contacted the hostel with them telling us we had to find a way to bring the scooter back. We stayed there all day in strong sun trying to fix it and calling mechanics which also couldn’t start it.. it was our first day in Mexico, we had no contacts and couldn’t possibly know how to bring it back on the same day! We then left the scooter there and waited for a bus/ collectivo for a couple of hours that never arrived.. we then had to hitchhike back to the hostel to argue with the owner who said that we shouldn’t have driven the scooter outside Tulum and it was our fault and the contract said that.. we didn’t see that in the contract but we did say to the guy working on the day that we were going to Coba and he said that was fine!! He could have told us at the time something important like that but didn’t.. we felt very bad and proceeded to leave even though we had booked another night, we were sunburnt and very tired!! We had already left an £80 deposit with them and thought even though it wasn’t our fault and what we went through for multiple hours we still left the deposit with them which was more than enough for them to bring the scooter back ( we asked for prices the next day and were told it would be less than £40 for us -bear in mind that we’re foreigners- I can imagine for someone local must be even cheaper) the day after the owner took £100 out of my account without my permission and from an account that doesn’t link with the hostel, which my bank is now investigating!!
+ Wann man nach dem "Hippie lifestyle" lebt dan kann man dort verweilen Ansonsten nicht empfehlenswert.
- Personal unfreundlich und nicht hilfsbereit. Betten hatten keine Decken. Früstück war inbegriffen aber erhielten keinen Früstück.

- La saleté qui règne dans les sanitaires, douches, draps tachés, chambre. La piscine sent comme une mare aux canards. Un immondice. Fuyez fuyez fuyez

- Nos engañaron indican que cuentan con parqueo y al llegar al lugar el vehículo se deja sobre la calzada en vía pública. Expuesto a golpes y robos. Muy mal engañar de eses manera. La persona que nos atención muy mal educada y poco empatía con nuestro problema. No nos quiso cancelar la reserva y tras de eso NOS cobran un recargo por no quedarnos. Ósea pagamos mas por un lugar que nos engaño con el parqueo. Tuvimos que ir a otro Hotel donde se había parqueo. Se llama TuboTulum excelente servicio y nos hicieron precio por la falta de empatía del Hostal.
+ Piscina
- Malas habitaciones y no supieron gestionar mal olor (muy fuerte) de un huesped
- -chambre mal nettoyée, avec une odeur très désagréable, douche avec des poils, le sol est même détérioré en plein milieu de la pièce -très bruyant au bord de la route -wifi ne fonctionne pas dans la chambre -petit-déjeuner très basique sans intérêt, on doit faire sa propose vaisselle -tout est interdit dans l’hôtel -piscine minuscule et trouble, aucune envie d’y mettre un pied -personnel vraiment pas sympathique Honnêtement je vous conseille de passer votre chemin il y a de bien plus beaux endroits à Tulum (même moins cher!), c’est ce que nous avons fait.

+ Por la puerta de entrada al dormitorio con dificultad para abrirla me ofrecieron cambiar a una habitación privada suite, muy confortable!
- El volumen de la música durante el desayuno
+ Lovely atmosphere and good vibes and staff was very helpful. Cooked breakfast. Very good money for value.
- The bungalow felt a bit small.
Spent one night here. It’s a VERY short walk from the ADO bus station, it’s very clean and th staff are great. Would stay here again for sure. It’s noisy. But i slept fine with ear plugs

+ The place is really nice with little huts and trees around. Good calm atmosphere and rather good facilities. Close to amenities and walking distance from the centre
- When paying the ask us for additional taxes ( environment and local) although we had city tax on the charges from booking.com. Those additional taxes did not appear on the receipt they sent us and they could not give any additional confirmation for the extra charges. This was annoying and not transparent
If you can take one thing away from my review stay somewhere else. Off rip they tried to charge 540 pesos for a 340 peso stay after I’d already paid 100 pesos in race so a nice little 300 peso up charge. Rooms smelled like yogurt and had trash everywhere. Free breakfast might as well be slop didn’t even bother touching it. Pool is horrible. I am a budget backpacker but there is no amount of budgeting that makes this place worth it. Scammy, smelly, weird vibes, the only upside is the location...
+ Na miestne pomery čisto, požičiavajú bicykle, raňajky aj pre vegetariánov, ponúkajú aj komunitné akcie za prijateľné ceny, ako spoločné grilovanie, cyklovýlet. Areál má krásnu záhradu, príjemné miesto. Autobusová stanica v blízkosti.

+ I took the most expensive room which was large, well presented with both a/c and good fan. Bathroom was huge but very in need of makeover with two wash basins and weird turquoise mosaic bath pool and overhead shower. Staff were great and daily affordable activities offered (including bike hire and salsa classes). Location very convenient for downtown bars and restaurants. Bateys bar does the best mojitos and has live local music (plus every major sports game!).
- Public areas quite scruffy (looked better lit up at night). Shower needs total refit. Breakfast included is extremely basic - unlimited coffee and either eggs or pancakes, no juice. Basically it’s a hostel with a couple of en suites. Designed around backpackers. A long (20-30min) bike ride to the wonderful public beaches and Tulum ruins.
I stayed at 3 hostels in Tulum and Oryx was the best by far. Oryx is very well run and clean. If you need something the staff are very helpful. Whatever you decide never go to Luhme Hostal. It's a flophouse above a very noisy bar with no WIFI in the dingy rooms. I highly recommend Oryx Hostel.
+ A localização é excelente! Muito próximo ao terminal onde para o ônibus da ADO que vai pra Cancún e pra Pirâmide Chichén Itzá. Café da manhã simples, mas bom. Tem água potável grátis na cozinha e ATM para sacar dinheiro (embora eu não tenha conseguido utilizar)

+ La ubicación del hostal, es fantástica, la seguridad y sobre todo el buen trato del staff, las instalaciones son perfectas y la flora y fauna que tienen es increible; es un hostal muy agradable y limpio, espacios comunes, las habitaciones son perfectas, las camas super cómodas, cuentan con servicio de lavandería a un precio muy accesible, cabe mencionar que te incluyen el desayuno y es delicioso 😋.
- Me encantó todo - lo super recomiendo y claro que volvería a hospedar me en oryx.
