This place is really average. Nothing terrible but no element is really that great. The dorm room was pretty cramped with showers and toilet attached. There’s a bar that’s pretty overpriced but a Lawson right next door. Ok for meeting people. Fine place but I have stayed in much better hostels elsewhere.

When I booked the accommodation it was stated that the private room would have an en-suite bathroom. Well it did not. The room itself was not a private room. It had a wall between the dorms but the wall did not go all the way up to the ceiling. Light switch for the room was outside of the room. Mattress not so comfortable. Staff super friendly though.

The hostel is a convenient location close to the station. The staff were nice and there is a communal area to sit around a table. In the female dorm the sinks and shower are within the dorm itself so it can be a bit noisy if someone brushes their teeth late at night. The bed was okay, but not the most spacious!

Really social Hostel, nice staff , big common area. But you can only shower from 6 am to 1 am. So you can’t even shower at your arrival day, this is really annoying.

Great location - very close to a convenience store and a short walk to the subway and a 10 min walk to the city with lots of places to eat and a beautiful shrine just up the road. Found the beds to be quite musty - pillow didn’t smell too good but maybe I was just unlucky. Other than that very clean facilities, lovely staff, and a good common area. Overall a solid stay.

Clean, comfortable and nice space. The hostel is in an old house so the noise carries from the communal area. As there is no staff present after 10 the curfew of noise levels is not controlled. Think that I just had an unfortunate experience as I was kept up throughout the night

Good hostel in the center of Fukuoka. It is located in a beautiful small house. When I stayed there the vibes were a calm and a little bit passive, but Staff was friendly and welcoming.

Quiet, low-fuss hostel, with friendly staff and in a convenient location. The facilities were more than sufficient for a few days visit. Bunks were spacious, private and comfy. Common area is small but cosy - encourages evening chats.

Great location in the middle of Gion. Super comfy and cosy dorms, really clean bathrooms and they give you free toiletries as well. Not much of a social vibe, but that could have been down to the time of year I visited

An excellent, very chill hostel. Very clean and beautiful. Everyone was kind and respectful. Would definitely stay again.

I only stayed for two nights, but I wished I had stayed longer. Great location and staff! Really relaxing atmosphere close to Hakata station. I’ll definitely go there again in the future.

I liked staying here feels very safe as a female solo traveller and the staff is so helpful and kind. the facilities are better than most hostels I've stayed in

The social life in HIVE is amazing. I've met amazing people and find joy in everything Fukuoka has to offer.
