One thing's 4 sure, if you went there, knowing how much you yourself paid for a 6 bed dorm in a wardrobe, you knew full well every other person staying there did so because they had also no other choice. Barranquilla isn't a tourist city outside of the carnival, so it makes sense that there isn't a huge number of beds year-long. But this isn't a hostel, it's someone's home, converted for carnival season. And it would be fine, as shabby as it is, if it wasn't this ridiculously expensive a hustle.

This was not a hostel but a home where the owner is renting rooms out. Completely misleading

I stayed here during carnival. The cons: it’s overcrowded and overpriced. The pros: it’s located close to the carnival and in a safe neighbourhood, the owner and staff are very nice, and the atmosphere is great. As a solo traveller it’s a fantastic place to meet others and go to the carnival together.

only good thing about this hostel is that it’s close to the carnaval. other than that it was one of the worst hostels i’ve been to. they tried to charge me the full amount even though i paid a deposit on website. bring locks for your bags because the lockers there probably won’t fit your bag. expect to pay a lot just for the carnaval

Trying to make as much money as possible off carnival - which is fair but we were messed about. We were messaged weeks before to say they had overbooked and we would be moved to another hostel further away. We said okay. Then we were told this was resolved and we'd be in the original hostel. Upon arrival, another friend was charged one price then later was demanded more money (significantly more than we paid) because "the price was wrong". Very basic facilities but fine for a bed for carnival.

It was ugly, I felt unsafe.

The dorm rooms are horrible, they are incredible small and I feel that you shouldnt have to pay so much for such a small place. The hostel is on a very good location for carnaval.

Way too expensive for what it is… stayed there for Karneval. The dorms have way to much beds inside. No kitchen and you can’t pay by card

Kind staff. No kitchen which was a bummer but did the job for a night.

Not really a hostel per se, more a spare bedroom in someone’s house. Private room en suite was a dorm room for 4. Nice people, plenty of cats(4 or 5) and dogs (1). Quiet street, handy to bars and restaurants, about 14 blocks from the malecon. Old beds, stained and lumpy, old misfitted sheets, good wifi, good water pressure.

Very friendly organizers, very attentive staff, full of smiling and friendly guests, unbeatable location for the carnival, nice facilities, good and sufficient bathrooms, huge garden and comfortable patio, 10 points

The hostel is definitely an incredible experience to live the pre-carnival and carnival season, meet many people and get to rest on a good mattress while you surf the internet with good WiFi and with your cell phone connected to the personal socket on the bed, if you need to check your things your bed has an independent light so as not to disturb others, the garden is large and beautiful, the terrace is ideal to welcome the morning, it has a comfortable and spacious bathroom area. I will return

The hostel is spectacular, I really liked the very nice bathrooms, well decorated, original with a lot of creativity, bed with personalized lighting and power outlet, it is close to the river boardwalk, where they hold the Barranquilla carnival, I received personalized attention, they accompanied me to the ATM , I was able to interact with people from different parts of the world, make friendsin a single word !home!

The place is beautiful with a lot of colors for the Carnival of Barranquilla, very pleasant and friendly, I felt at home, very comfortable room, wifi and charger and light in my room, clean bathrooms, can make many friends who can help me when traveling without company, 10 points

I due signori che gestiscono il posto sembrano più i nonni che ti aspettano per cena che proprietari e questo è un bene. Però le foto non corrispondono affatto alla realtà, il bagno era sporco e abitato dalla più grande cucharacha del mondo. Costa poco questo è vero però è un po’ asfissiantesi, la camera è totalmente senza finestre ne’ luce e piccola.

They do a fantastic job, the organizers are extremely attentive, they were attentive to my safety from the moment I arrived, giving me recommendations, the area where it is located is super safe and beautiful, comfortable bed and beautiful bathroom, all clean. Spectacular hostel where you can meet wonderful people, both the staff and the other guests from different parts of the world, excellent quality and new mattresses, bed with individual lighting, near the boardwalk where the Barranquilla carnival takes place, near the Shakira statue, patio to share and beautiful garden, beautiful and clean bathrooms, good wifi.

What I liked most are the very comfortable mattresses of very good quality and the beautifully designed bathrooms, the owner's attention was spectacular, the place was very neat, they gave me directions to places of tourist interest, the fantastic location near the large boardwalk where they do the carnival , Great patio to meet people from all over the world, beautiful garden, very safe area, I felt at home.

I liked everything but mainly the attention, they have solar panels so they help the problem of global warming, the excellent location, beautiful and safe area, excellent quality mattresses, bed with facilities to charge the cell phone and light for reading, spectacular atmosphere I was able to do many friends, good and nice bathrooms, all very neat. Beautiful garden.

Spectacular attention, the owner is incredibly friendly, very pleasant atmosphere, I met lovely people from different parts of the world, very comfortable mattress, they have many bathrooms and very nice clean and aesthetic ones, beautiful garden and very pleasant patio to share with others people, very safe area and pretty, I felt at home.

I arrived at the accommodation practically sick and they helped me, they gave me medication, they took my blood pressure and gave me medicine, they are fantastic people, they were attentive until the last moment, the mattress was fabulous, the bathrooms were spectacular and everything was very clean, beautiful garden area and nice and safe sector near the great maleon of the river, the accommodation has solar panels to help the environment with clean energy 10 points
