Hostel Sereia do Mar

Not bad location, about 20mins into town. Kitchen facilities weren’t great but bedrooms were fine. Need more power outlets and lockers in the rooms

a lot of mosquitos! like 50 in the room, staff not too nice and hygiene quite bad too, flies on the bread of the breakfast for example

Our general experience at this hostel was not good. The atmosphere was really bad, worse if you don’t speak Spanish/Portuguese. It’s basically a bed and breakfast/restaurant, not a hostel. The mosquitoes are everywhere because of bad sanitation conditions - and it’s dirty. The location is not that good either, it’s a 30 minutes walk from the bus terminal in Paraty. The beach is okay, really not that impressive. The only positive thing about this place is the ocean view and the beach area...

Great little hostel in paraty. Friendly staff and decent facilities. A slight walk to the main historic centre but nothing too crazy. Would definitely recommend

Not super cool. The bedrooms were not cleaned everyday, besides it was written that. The kitchen for the guests was awful and they gave misleading information regarding free stuffs. I just liked the breakfast (this one I give 10/10). The beach in front of the hostel is dirty, you need to go far for other Beachs

Location was great and enjoyed the free breakfast a lot but unfortunately we had to leave after one night. The room smelt like pee and had little to no storage to put our things away. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and the air conditioner made a terrible smell. Was overall a very damp and smelly room and unpleasant night that we spent there. We ended up moving to a guesthouse which wasn’t much more expensive and definitely worth it.

La propiedad esta muy bien. un poco alejada del centro 15 minutos andando a pie pero vale la.pena porque estas frente a la playa. El lugar tambien tiene pocos espacios.comunes solo un gran bar que funciona como.restaurante y a veces no.sabes si estas dentro de un bar o dentro de un hostel. Lo demas estaba bien

The hostel has a perfect location on the beach. The live music was lovely and had a chilled vibe. Although the restaurant was a lovely place to be, it felt like it was prioritised over the hostel overall. The pool was out of use which was disappointing. The oven didn’t work. Nevertheless, the staff were friendly and helpful.

Nice location beachside. Private room was a good size. Downside was noise levels through the night

Loved this hostel, right on the beach so the views were beautiful and I loved the decor. Not much of an atmosphere but we did come during off season. Staff were so helpful and friendly, would love to come and stay again.

Generally a great hostel! Staff was friendly and always tried to help despite the language barrier, location is right on the beach, and atmosphere couldn't be beat! Live music in the bar area wasa lovely touch, and the caipirinhas were delightful. my only complaint was that the shared dorms doors don't lock without a key (as in,while you're inside) and security at the front is minimal, so I didn't feel 100% safe. They did let me have the key when I was the only one there, though!

Un Hostel a pie de playa muy recomendable. El recibimiento es muy bueno. Limpieza. El desayuno increíble. Y lo mejor el trato del personal. La próxima vez que vuelva repito sin duda.

Pretty place next to the beach, the shared room was not too cramped, and the overall aesthetics were natural and authentic. Cool place :)

Coole Lage, Zimmer war mega eng und ein Bett fiel fast auseinander. Dusche und Wc war mittel sauber. Man kam nicht draus welches Personal zum Restaurant oder Hostel gehörte, waren auch nicht alle mega freundlich. Frühstück war mega fein

The place is nice, it’s worth the money ! The cons: You better like to walk, it’s 30/40 min from the bus terminal, and there is no Uber most of the time. Some of the staff member were not really welcoming and didn’t mind making a lot of noise early in the morning. The bathroom was not clean. The pros: The free breakfast is really good. There is the essentials things you need to cook or whatever. One musician was playing music everynight, it felt pretty amazing.

Excelente hostel!! 100% recomendable!

Very well located (close to historical center), common parts including the bathroom extremely clean (the staff is cleaning the place all the time), we had a standard private room with double bed for about 10 euros the night (very cheap), which had a private bathroom. Felt super great in this place. Met a few nice people Great stay

Ambiente agradável e localização boa. Bom café da manhã. No entanto, as instalações e limpeza do quarto coletivo deixam bastante a desejar.

It was okay. I was positively surprised by the place. The atmosphere was quite nice and we met some very good people over there. Staff was friendly, although obviously overworked. Unfortunately it wasn't very clean (I'm not sure if the bathroom carpet had ever been washed or even changed) and some essential facilities were missing (talking about a toilet brush and additional showers outside the rooms, as there is just one shower for an 8 bed dorm).
