Hostel Embauba

Nice chilled hostel in Paraty. Nice facilities and decent location. Recommended..

Hostel was good, beds were medium comfy and the rooms had air con! Staff friendly. Only downside was that we didn’t know if we left our bags in reception they’d charge us…

The staff was very nice, I was sick and they checked on me in between

Very friendly staff, well equipped kitchen, nice common area. The door of our room could not be closed and we just had a window into the common area. Therefore very loud. The toilet for our floor was miniscule but clean.

Bedsheets were not clean.

Hermoso hostel! Bien ubicado y muy lindo ambiente, instalaciones impecables y limpias. Los chicos del staff son muy amables, recomiendo 100%.

Ver Kind staff, good location, fair price

Nothing was specifically bad but nothing was good either. Our 4 bed room was cramped, the mattresses thin, the location strange and there was only 1 bathroom for the whole floor. Staff were doing their own thing and barely anyone else was staying there.

A really lovely,chilled out hostel. The owners are so kind, helpful and accommodating. I really enjoyed a relaxing stay at Embauba!

Nice stay. Staff were great and were happy to use translate apps to communicate! Great kitchen space and not far from the Main Street and old town.

Nice and chill place. Very friendly and helpful staff, the language barrier didn’t prove to be too much of a problem :)

todos nós tivemos uma ótima estadia. A equipe foi super simpática e nos sentimos muito bem-vindos. Também tivemos uma ótima noite de churrasco com eles. No geral, tivemos um tempo maravilhoso e muito obrigado por isso. a qualquer momento. Nils, Klara e Angi PS: vale a pena investir nas joias caseiras do hostel. Saudadeeee:)

Nice enough hostel but very basic. Staff don’t speak English and the beds were quite uncomfortable. The location is OK but for a small town you still have to walk 10-15 minutes to get to the main Old Town. It was clean though, and relatively cheap so happy overall.

I was extremely disappointed with my stay at this hostel. While I understand that not everyone speaks English, a basic knowledge would have been appreciated. However, the real issue was not the language barrier but the rudeness of the staff. They literally told me through a translator that “this is Brazil, so we should speak Portuguese.” I find this quite insulting, especially in a city that relies so heavily on tourism. On top of that, the facilities were far from comfortable…

Really good place to stay, the staff is very friendly, the facilities always very clean :) Also it’s very well located, close to the bus station and the old town.

The hostel was a Nice stay but it could be better. I had the feeling there were a few longer staying guests I think. because I did not feel totally welcome. The staff was amazing and very friendly. The kitchen was also perfect. Sadly there was only one toilet upstairs for the 12 bed room which was also in the same room as the shower. But all and all they are doing very well for a beginning hostel!
