Blockhouse Samui

The most wonderful place - cosy beds, quiet location, as social as you want it to be. The team running the hostel are just the loveliest, they make what would already be a great hostel into a true hidden gem. My ONLY word of warning is that it’s down quite a dark side street that is home to a lot of strays, so can be a bit intimating walking at night if you’re nervous around dogs. Would stay here again 100% - thank you Blockhouse! ❤️

Really friendly and funny staff (especially Sola). There is also a nice restaurant with good food. Nice and big common area

Attention si vous êtes allergique aux chats !!! Les chats rentre dans les chambre et se frottent à tout monte sur les lits et foutent des poils partout.

Das Hostel ist wirklich toll. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich, vor allem die Frau an der Rezeption (leider weiß ich den Name nicht) hat mich sehr herzlich begrüßt und war immer bereit zu helfen, sie ist wirklich ein Sonnenschein. Das Hostel war sauber und gemütlich. Ich kann es auf jeden Fall empfehlen und würde auch selber jeder Zeit wieder kommen.

The Blockhouse has a cosy and chill vibe and the staff were so lovely and absolute lifesavers when I accidentally left my AirPods here, they found them for me and offered to post them: above and beyond service!!!

Lovely owner, social and nice atmosphere, enough space to hang out!! Everything was very clean. Laundry, scooter drinks and snacks were a bit pricy tho for a hostel but besides that, super cool place to stay :)

We had a fantastic stay here. We met some lovely people and the staff were amazing. The food was great and Jano’s, the restaurant next door, was incredible too. Just a 10 min walk to the beach, and at the end of the road there’s an affordable smoothie/drink place and 7/11- perfect really.

Fine hostel. But we booked a dorm with 6 beds and got 11 beds instead and one of the beds was in the middle of the room with no curtains/private space. There was no space to walk around because of the single bed in the middle of the room. The staff was really sweet🥰🥰🥰

Lovely little hostel , staff are absolutely amazing and lovely it’s just in the middle of nowhere (great if u need a day or two to reset)

Es gab leider kein Licht und keine Ablagen an den Betten. Die Betten haben bei jeder Bewegung oben oder unten gewackelt. Das Bad war dreckig und es hat nach Urin gestunken. Handtücher haben 50 baht gekostet. Der Vibe war aber sehr entspannt und wer mit Roller die etwas ruhigere Gegend von Koh samui erkunden möchte, und keinen Luxus erwartet, ist hier richtig.

This is a very cute hostel. The only downsides - we got placed in a room that looked nothing like the photos and it was a black dark pit. We also didn’t see much cleaning going on although it looked cleanish. I don’t think the duvet covers get changed everytime which kinda grosses us out but the sheets did. Very sweet receptionist and the owner is so sweet. I loved the atmosphere as well!

Estuvimos super comodas. A destacar la casa està super liampia. Y la propietària un 10.Calidad precio genial. Y un trato excelente. Habla perfecto el ingles. Hostel super cerca del aeropuerto🙏

Great atmosphere, lovely staff, and good restaurant

This place was really nice. Very relaxed. The restaurant attached to the Hostel has delicious food. The owner, Kay Kay, is very sweet and took me out on my last night to see some live Music in the fisherman’s village.

sehr süsses und sauberes hostel, mit einem Restaurant und bar direkt darunter. das personal ist super lieb, freundlich und hilfsbereit! zum strand dauert es ca 10 minuten zu fuss, auf halber strecke gibt es alles was man sonst so braucht: 7 11, Restaurants, bars, etc. hatte hier 2 tolle nächte und komme gerne wieder! :)
