Poramba Hostel

We hadden 1 dag vertraging. Buiten onze schuld om. Hebben meteen gemaild. Kregen een bevestiging terug dat het geen probleem was. Komen we midden in de nacht aan, was er geen kamer meer beschikbaar. In een oude auto naar een ander hostel gebracht. Dat was wel goed.

My private room was full of fungus, it stink very BAD!! All my clothes was stinking and yellow for the first night I have there. There was only 1 light that was working in the room, and it was dirty AF, and the room was in so bad condition. Even the window for mosquito couldn't close so there was mosquito over all, and you couldn't control the air condition by your self. And you couldn't lock the door, because is was broke the handle. 115 UDS for 3 night. And the kitchen was bad and pool! Sick�...

Bedding and room overall were not clean or well maintained, we had back and neck issues for two weeks after sleeping in the beds. No pillows :( To be fair, it’s very hot there and the air conditioning worked well. The pool was nice and good kitchen but not very welcoming vibes. The staff were friendly and gave good information about the town and the tours.

We changed the room 3 times, the living conditions definitely differ from the conditions for the amount I paid for the night in the above-mentioned hostel. The smell of faeces in the room is not the fault of humidity. The lack of running water is another example of dire conditions. Cleanliness level 0, cobwebs, dirty floors, falling ceiling. I informed the staff about all the shortcomings, in response I got a bucket for water from the pool to be able to flush the toilet. Pool very dirty.

The location was great and it was very cheap. However, our room was unclean and the whole property needs some care and attention. The bathroom had dead flies / mosquitoes on the windowsill and mould in between the tiles, so you felt dirty after showering. Bedding has black mould. We didn’t use the pool as it didn’t look like it does in the pictures and the pool table is unusable. Fridge has about 3 years of dirt growing around the edges- everything just feels grubby.

The staff were really friendly and welcoming but the hostel itself is very unclean. The pool was dirty so could not be used, and the towels we were given had stains on them. It was fine for a one night stay when visiting the falls but I would not recommend staying longer than that.

The rooms were in pretty poor condition overall. The beds weren’t very comfortable, and the bathrooms were small and not very clean. The “air conditioning” was also very noisy, which made it hard to sleep. The pool didn’t seem very well maintained either. On the bright side, the staff were friendly and helpful

We hebben helaas een hele slechte ervaring gehad hier. We zijn ‘s avonds laat het hostel uit gevlucht wegens dat de hele kamer, inclusief het bed vol met insecten lag (ik snap dat we tussen de bomen zitten, maar sommige dingen gaan te ver). Daarnaast leefde de airco zijn eigen leven en ging die ineens op 25 graden maar het werd bloedheet in de kamer alsof die in de fik ging. Toen we de douche aandeden kwam er een mega rioollucht omhoog. Het zwembad was gifgroen. Voor ons nooit meer helaas.

Our room was really damp. As in it had a bad smell and we felt physically wet when staying in it. Also the bathroom situation was a little poor. We ended up leaving the hostel early unfortunately because we felt so uncomfortable in the room from the damp. I don’t know if it was just the room we were in (double bed). After staying there 1 night our clothes smelled bad from the damp also. The staff were really nice and friendly however :)

Avoid this hostel. It hasn’t been cleaned in forever. We had thick dirt on all surfaces and dead bugs all over the floor and squished on the walls. The room stank of sewage. The bed was uncomfortable and when I took the pillow case off my pillow was mouldy and stank. The pool is vile, again full of bugs and not clean. The kitchen is equally horrendous. I loved Poramba, great staff, beautiful atmosphere, I will come back someday, thank you Rocio, Ine, Vitor, Gaston and Guille for share those amazing moments.

Average hostel got nothing to complain about. If you want a place to sleep. This is your hostel

Les chambres sont bien et la salle de bain aussi, pas incroyable mais très ok. L’hostel n’est pas social du tout et il est très petit. La piscine est degueulasse.

Muchas gracias a todo el equipo del hostel y a los voluntarios! Gracias especialmente a Augustina,Flavia y Seb, todos fueron súper amables y acogedores. Muy buen ambiente, lugares limpios y agradables, casa preciosa y muy verde, con piscina. Camas nuevas y muy cómodas, dormí genial. Pasamos muy buenos momentos juntos, juegos y risas. Todo fue perfecto, lo recomiendo totalmente! 🤍

Un lugar increíble, al inicio me quería quedar una noche y al final me quedé 5 noches. Buena ubicación y la piscina es excelente contra el calor. El jefe y los voluntarios, específicamente Agus, Flavia, Seba y Ceci eran súper amable y siempre nos ayudaron con cualquier cosa.

Que agradecida estoy de haber vivido mi primer experiencia de hostels en Poramba, gracias fla,seba,jorge,agus,ine,guille y Gastón hicieron que la estadía fuese un 1000/10. Respecto al espacio está súper lindo, la habitación estaba acorde a lo que abone y tiene muy buena ubicación, Lo único a destacar es que la imagen de la cocina que figura en la app no es la que verdaderamente tienen, deberían poner una foto real y ofrecer un mejor servicio en ese sentido. We stayed for 2 nights and had a great experience. The hostel was located on a good spot close to everything but still in a calm and quiet neighbourhood. The staff gets a 10/10 for being helpful, welcoming and nice. Instant feeling of home. In the common areas you get a very cozy feeling of being in the forest having loads of plants and trees surrounding and isolating the yard. The AC didn’t work properly. And the pool could use a filtering session, but apart from that, I give the place ...

Nice place with nice staff. Only thing missing is that power sockets like many in Argentina are quite weak at holding in the plugs which can make it difficult to charge your devices.

Me encantó estos días en el Poramba hostel con este ambiente súper tranquilo y chill con la piscina y sobre todo con voluntarios súper simpáticos compartiendo su maté conmigo👌

This hostel was decent. Not many people and tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. Definitely not a social hostel so I wouldn’t book if you’re a solo traveler. Property felt somewhat dirty and run down. It does the trick for a cheap hostel if that’s all you need.

Atmosfera muito boa, cozinha bem equipada e bem localizado.

Nuestra estancia en el Hostal ha sido super buena, estuvimos dos días y desde el primer momento recibimos una atención genial del propietario, el cual nos orientó y recomendó como aprovechar y disfrutar mejor nuestro tiempo en Iguazú. Además el equipo de voluntarios han hecho de la estancia más llevadera y acogedora, compartimos tiempo con ellos y disfrutamos de las charlas. Sin duda recomendamos 100 % este lugar, ya sea para visitar las cataratas o conocer más tiempo Iguazú. G...

Es war ordentlich, das Bad war auch sauber, aber meine Bettwäsche wurde nicht gewechselt und hat extrem gestunken.

Nos retrasaron el vuelo y fueron super comprensivos y abiertos a gestionar la reserva. Servicio 10/10, muy simpaticos y cercanos y el lugar es precioso. Nos hubiese gustado quedarnos más días!

Great hostel within easy walking distance of the bus station where you get the bus to go to Iguazu Falls. Felt very quiet and safe. Hostel owner was very friendly and accommodating. He made sure I was able to access my room when I arrived late after my flight was delayed. The hostel has a swimming pool, which was great after hiking all day.

Good overall. Vey jungle. The staff was super nice
