The dorms have three bunk beds. The mattress is really uncomfortable and everything is dirty.

Description doesn’t mention it but there are cats all over the hostel so be aware if you are allergic and one peed all over my things. Staff were extremely unhelpful and did absolutely nothing to help with resolving the issue. Manager was extremely rude. No offer of help to get them cleaned was made nor was there any compensation. AVOID this hostel at all costs. Spend your money elsewhere.

Firstly, they changed my hostel last minute to House of Wolves where the room was ok, but the shower never drained which meant you had to go to the toilet with your feet in water. Checked the beds and they were covered in BED BUGS. Told the hostel owner who said to change beds in the same room but sent her another video showing that they were in every bed. Had to get a grab in the middle of the night to house of lion and despite her saying she’d give a refund, I never received one (awful)!

Did not like the tripple bunk (it gets hot up there) nice common area but kitchen is filthy. Toilet inside dosent work so u have to go outside to use it. Its a belowaverage hostel so what can u expect. ( Also had an experience with the "woke" eastern Europeans woman working there she started cussing me out in the morning and demanding me to show her some respect by telling her good morning before asking to check out...) So make sure to not ask her for too much in the morning she gets overwhelmed

Only stayed a night and wouldn't take a free night if offered. Showers disgusting and no water pressure, no aircon or barely any in the dorm rooms, in our room just outside was a water pump or something making noise all night long so terrible. The photo showed bunk beds but in reality it's triple bunk beds. And if you get there after 7pm to check in no one is there and the owner had to ask a guest to check us in so we didn't know anything about the place. Checking out tried to charge me extra :(

Don’t recommend. Booked private room en suite. Air con basically didn’t work, room was a sauna. Room / bathroom itself were fine and good value for the very cheap price. However the room was dirty, cobwebs and dead flies everywhere, toilet and toilet seat was dirty, the kitchen was flithy. Honestly spend £2 more and go to Bed Attitude - so much safer and better. Don’t pick here just because it’s cheap. Anyone can just walk into the premises to the common bathrooms etc. not safe.

I had a terrible experience at this hostel. It was full of bed bugs and mosquitoes, making it very unhealthy and unhygienic. The toilet was constantly leaking and had no water pressure. Many dirty cats roamed the room and jumped on the bed. The noise all night, possibly from washing machines and dryers, made it impossible to sleep. Avoid this place!

Honestly this is the dirtiest hostel i’ve ever stayed in. I’m a budget traveller and don’t need anything fancy or over the top but the cleanliness of the place was disgusting. The toilets constantly were clogged with literal s***- the dorms smelt bad and the bedsheets didn’t seem like they had been changed. And if you get through that be careful of the light switch in the kitchen which gives you a small electric shock… Only small positive is the people working here were nice.

MOLD IN P** SMELLY BATHROOMS, DIRTY SURROUNDINGs (no bins with p** were taken out). Location is far. Overall, I had high hopes from this place based on review and outline. On arrival, I was informed that despite my disability I will be given top bed for the whole duration of my stay. Secondly, THERE IS NO COFFEE MEET-UPs as advertised. this hostel is cheap & in a decent location but you get what you pay for. the Hostelworld photos are misleading!! the 6bed dom has TRIPLE BUNKS (they’ve cropped the top top bunks out. also the entire time I was there they shut off the water at around 1am? no shower, no flushing the toilet, no washing your hands (it was also like this for the week prior, a girl had told me) and the place does smell like cat urine. not much of a social aspect

Amazing accommodation. The check in process is easy. The staff are very friendly and easy going. The arrange horror movie night in accordance with the hostel theme. They even have WhatsApp group for group activity. As person who love to cook, the kitchen and utilities are suck a perk and bonus

Lion is located right in the heartbeat of Langkawi but hidden between the busy main street . A perfect location for me , it sit in a little peaceful village and nearest beach ,restaurants and bars are within 5 mins walking distance. The staff and volunteers are super helpful and friendly , the owner engaged to her guests like long lost friends and she organized activities like karaoke night and bar hopping ,and island trips too. Look no further !

Prima locatie maar daar blijft het ook wel bij. Hygiëne is ver te bekennen, drie dagen lang gekeken naar stukjes in wasbak en wc bleef overstromen/nat. Enige wat ze deden wat prullenbak vervangen, dat is het ook. Geen activiteiten, weinig sociaal en hostel wordt gerund door vrijwilligers die er zelf net een week zijn. Vriendelijk maar zou hem niet aanraden

Nice location but that's where the positives end. Cats all over the hostel and a pretty strong smell of cat urine which made the stay pretty unpleasant, and the facilities were not clean. Cheap, but not worth it in my opinion.

This is a really chill place to stay in langkawi. The social areas are nice and i slept really well. Volunteer's were all super sweet, just didn't seem to be many activities or things organised :(

Cool place, nice common area to chill in with friendly faces. Great to have access to a kitchen and the dorms are comfy. Walking distance to the beach for sunset and good restaurants about.

I had the best time at this hostel. I loved the staff and how easy it is for you get to know everyone in the hostel. The location is good! I found the beds quite comfy too!

Fait le taff, l’hostellerie reste agréable et charmant en premier abord Clim extrêmement bruyante, la pompe à eau bruyante et ne s’arrête qu’à 1h du matin. La propreté laisse vraiment à désirer

The staff make this hostel. Everyone was really lovely. However, the room we were in has shutters as the windows so mosquitos were biting us as we slept. The bathrooms are outside :/ Lots of bugs

Wir hatten ein Privates Zimmer für zwei. Es war Sauber, die Leute waren super nett. Die Zimmer gemütlich und der Strand ist ziemlich nah. Insgesamt aufjedenfall empfehlenswert!

the staff are the most down to earth people u can ever meet. very welcoming and social people. the location is very close to the beach and the guests are very social.
