Cusco and Rock

Eviten quedarse aquí. Toda la atención es lenta (45 minutos de espera en la mesa para que pudieramos desayunar, por poner un ejemplo) y hay que estar rogando para que te ayuden en algo. El ambiente no es agradable, pero lo peor es el dueño/gerente Daniel. Se le "olvida" que reservaste y te ves en la horrible necesidad de buscar alojamiento regresando de un trek de varios días a las 10 pm (que por lo que leo le ha pasado a varias personas).

Would not go back, no concern for our health or wellbeing. Even though only half the hostel was booked, the staff knowingly gave us a room with severe black mold, which by the 4th night really started to effect our breathing and our sleep. Upon raising this with the hostel staff, they acknowledged this without an apology and gave us another room (after we asked). No atmosphere at all, with no hostel facilities at all.

They forced to change my room multiple times, water cold for almost two days and the service is not able to help in any way. It is not about being a cheap hostel, it is just about not be able to do your work. I honestly recommend to choose another hostel in Cusco. dont waste time and money here.

I want to say the staff are great. I don't think many of the issues are their fault. We stayed in 2 different rooms as we did an excursion. Most of these issues were found in both rooms. We had issues with hot water. The ceiling in the bathroom is moldy. The toilet seat is not tight. Shower curtain is too short and floods the floor. No heat in the room, even after we asked for the wall unit to be turned on. Had to go get towels and toilet paper from the desk as none was ever brought to us.

Everyone that worked the front desk was nice. The view, like stated, was incredible. But there were issues. 1- WiFi RARELY worked in the room. 2- The water heater was RIGHT outside our room so we heard it ALL the time and it was loud. 3- Despite it being right by us, we had warm water 20% of the time and hot water never. 4- For some reason, they had a guy doing construction in the lobby at 11pm at night??? 5- Mold spots in the shower.

Hostel was clean and laundry service good and fast (but expensive). However, we had two different rooms and no hot water in the shower. Breakfast is not served at 7 but 7 30 to 8 am (although they tell you 7), check out is at 10 although there is a sign at the entrance "check out 11 am", the rock sky restaurant, which we thought might has cheap food for guests was not open once, no nice area to chill, havent seen other guests at all, no hostel vibe and unmotivated staff (beside one cute old guy)

Água do chuveiro na esquentava. O café da manhã é bem fraco. O dono do hostel não é muito simpático. Para entrar à noite no hostel demoravam muito para abrir a porta. Numa das noites o aquecedor pegou fogo e quase pegou fogo na coberta. Relatei o ocorrido para a equipe do hostel e eles nem ligaram, pedi pra trocar de quarto ou para colocarem um novo aquecedor e não fizeram nenhuma das solicitações.

We had to ask for toilet paper, no soap. At 1 pm our toilet broke down and we reported this. We got back at 7 pm, it was not fixed. We showed the issue and another guy told us it would take 30 minutes. We decided to buy some beer and play a game while waiting. We were told that bringing beer in was not allowed, but they won’t provide an alternative, the bar upstairs was closed. The 30 minute guy disappeared and the toilet still wasn’t working!! In the end we asked for another room. Very poor

The room was okay, pretty cold during the night and there was mold in the bathroom !!! You also don't get a key for the entrance door so you always have to ring and wait which can take some time.

Someone will always answer the door but might not be able to help you or even ask if you need help. Lobby floods if it rains. They put us next door for one night due to a flood and it was disorganized beyond belief, very little English, took us almost 2 hours to get a room. Awful experience. Breakfast is tiny and takes a long time. Once we got to our room it was okay but the beginning was a hot mess.

Spent 7 nights in total at Cusco Rock. Really nice hostelin a quiet location only 10 mins walk from the main plaxa and 5 mins from aqueduct. The rooms were spacious with hot showers. The breakfast was simple and filling. It may not suit solo backpackers looking for a party. They stored our luggage whilst we took a tour. Can't find any fault.

I had great service from the team, very hospitable and kind. I had a trek planned and we had an arrangement that I could leave my bag behind in the room with the key and they would take care of it. Came back and everything was done like agreed upon. I recommend strongly.

Fantastic stay! I had a great time at this hostel. The entire place was very clean and well-maintained. The laundry service was also very good. I would definitely book this place again without hesitation. Highly recommended!

it was a great stay. the owner was very helpful and let us check out later do to our flight being in the afternoon. Hostel wasnt full of ppl and you do have to trek up a bit a few minutes from the main centre

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay ! Room was super clean, bed was very comfy and warm and showers were very hot !! View of the city was epic

Great stay here after completing the Salkantay hike. Arrived late and had a well needed hot shower. The next morning we had all our washing done in a couple hours after a nice breakfast on the roof over looking the city. A great place to stay if you want a quiet night and a comfy bed.

Really comfortable stay. It’s quiet and feels seperate from the city which is great for a bit of break. The services have been great and workers are really friendly even with language barriers. Very clean which I appreciate.

Stayed here whilst doing a few tours. Hostel was great we even needed to add a couple extra days to our stay and they sorted it with no problem, rooms are great and the location is also really good, close to lovely restaurants and not far from the square

Hemos pasado unos días en Cusco and Rock fantásticos. El hostal tiene una situación privilegiada y unas vistas espectaculares. Las habitaciones y las instalaciones tienen todo lo necesario para descansar y relajarse. El personal ha estado muy atento en todo lo que hemos necesitado. Sin duda, una elección genial!!

Excelente experiencia con Cusco and Rock. Tours bien organizados, guías profesionales y atención personalizada. Una forma auténtica y divertida de conocer Cusco. ¡Totalmente recomendado!

Really good hostel! People are nice here, lots of restaurants and convenient stores around. The Hostel itself is very clean & has alot of common areas to hangout or work. Definitely will come again.

I enjoyed my stay, the staff was very attentive and I would return.

The staff is very helpful. They allowed me to change my room and pick the room thst I really enjoyed being in. Very accommodating, allowing me to use either one of their three kitchens depending on which one was available for me to use. I got an entire section of the hostel to myself.Because the hostel was simply empty. What I checked in it didn't seem like there was anyone else.And even after being there for 1 w only two or three other people checked inn.
