- hot water 1 day out of 2 - flush not properly working - super noisy bar/club in the 4th floor - mold on the wall in the bathroom / no curtain for the shower - impossible to lock the windows - personnel harassing me for having some blood on my towel (threatened to not give me my clothes back if I did not paid for the towels). Apparently not knowing that woman's period are natural and happening every month. Shame on them for misogynistic behaviour.
Sehr unhygienische Badezimmer und nicht funktionierende Toiletten (Putzfrau schaut stattdessen Videos), Frühstück ist immer zu wenig aufgefüllt, bis 5 Uhr morgens wird dort laut Musik gehört (von Mitarbeitern) und der Mitarbeiter nachts wedelte sich einen von der Palme.
Very unhygienic bathrooms and non-functioning toilets (Putzfrau schaut stattdessen Videos), Breakfast is always under-filled, until 5 am there is loud music (from Employees) and the Employee at night was wrapped in a von der Palme.
So noisy through the night. Staff are rude. Breakfast is bread and when it runs out they don’t provide more & are rude about it. You have to pay for towels if you stay in a dorm which is fine but then if they run out and you’ve just been on a tour you can’t shower.
not good at all! they are making parties till 2 a.m., so if you want to sleep choose another place
Hostel was deserted and locked up upon arrival. Looked as though no one had been there for months.
The hostel was fine, free breakfast was good! However, we chose Magicpackers because we wanted to stay in a female-only dorm. We checked in and went to sleep. When we woke up, a man emerged from the top bunk! This made us feel uncomfortable and should not have happened. Then, when we spoke to the manager at check-out she was really unhelpful and rude, trying to blame us for not having realised the issue when we checked in and didn’t propose anything to fix the situation. Poor customer service

Het hostel viel helaas erg tegen. De badkamer, handdoeken en beddengoed waren niet schoon. Douches waren koud en de volgende dag zelfs geen water. WC spoelde niet door. Het ontbijt zou in theorie van 07:00 tot 10:00 zijn maar we hadden zelfs om 07:30 nog geen ontbijt... personeel lost problemen niet op en is onverschillig. Absoluut geen aanrader!
The hostel unfortunately was very against it. The bathroom, towels and bed linen were not clean. The showers were cold and the next day even no water. The toilet didn't leak. Breakfast was supposed to be from 07:00 to 10:00 but we had no breakfast even at 07:30... staff lost problems niet op en is onverschillig. Absolut geen aanrader!
L’endroit n’est pas suffisamment isolé. On entend tout ce qui se passe dans l’établissement. Il fait tellement froid. Nous avons séjourné dans 3 autres hostels à Cusco, mais celui-ci était le plus froid. Je dormais avec tuque, manteau, bas chauds. Au surplus, nous avons attrapé la tourista après avoir mangé à cet endroit. Je ne recommande pas du tout, c’est l’endroit que nous avons le moins aimé.
The place is not isolated enough. you can hear everything that happens in the establishment. it is so cold. we stayed in 3 other hostels in Cusco, but this one was the coldest. i slept with tuque, coat, warm socks. plus, we caught the tourist after eating at this place. i don't recommend it at all, this is the place we liked the least.
Onze prive kamer op begane grond had geen ramen, wifi of bereik. Het ontbijt is matig. De common area op bovenste verdieping is oke maar er wordt gewoon binnen gerookt. Beneden in de lobby en op het dakterras is eigenlijk vooral personeel die gebruik maakt van de banken etc. De lokatie is oke. Wij waren er als stel dus hoefden niet te socialzen maar het hostel voelde niet heel hecht of gezellig aan. We zouden alleen terug komen in een kamer met raam en goede wifi.
Our private room on the ground floor had no windows, wifi or access. The breakfast is moderate. The common area on the upper floor is okay but there is usually smoking inside. Down in the lobby and on the roof terrace is actually mostly staff who use the benches etc. The location is okay. We were there as a couple so we didn't have to socialize but the hostel didn't feel very close or cozy. We would only come back in a room with a window and good wifi.

La cuisine du restaurant est bonne, le personnel est sympathique, les espaces communs sont bien, notamment la terrasse où il fait bien chaud l’après midi. En revanche, le wifi fonctionne mal, il fait frais dans les chambres, et l’eau des douches n’est pas très chaude.
The restaurant's cuisine is good, the staff is friendly, the common areas are good, especially the terrace where it's quite hot in the afternoon. however, the wifi works poorly, it's cold in the rooms, and the water in the showers is not very hot.
Magicpackers was wonderful!! Great hostel with everything you could need. I stayed for about 6 nights in total both before and after my trek to Machu Picchu and they were super accommodating!! The rooms and bathrooms are all clean and the breakfast is great (there are eggs made to order!!). Couldn’t recommend here more!
Amazing hostel! Not incredibly social but there are really nice common spaces. The beds are super comfy and everything is very clean. Hot water and a great breakfast too. Staff is amazing and so accommodating kind and helpful. I had an amazing experience and I would definitely return. It’s a bit far from the center but the walk is not bad and never a problem for us
Super établissement, avec un personnel adorable ! On peut y laisser gratuitement nos affaires pendant le Salkantay Trek, ce qui est un super point positif ! Le petit déjeuner qui régale 😋 Seul bémol, il n'y a pas de cuisine

Easy stay with 24/7 reception. Let us leave our bags while we did the Salkantay. Had free walking tour (had to tip like £5 ish pp) towels and bedding had some small stains and mould in the bathroom and a few times going to the toilets there was no paper in there. Free breakfast is bread/jam/eggs/fruit/drinks. Overall good.
Cusco gets chilly at night but the hostel provided warm wool blankets so the temperature was comfortable! Breakfast was included and quite nice. Wifi worked in most places adequately. Only caveats were that the showers were cold for most of the nights which was unfortunate (especially on off-season where it was a bit colder), and my bed had hair and dirt in it upon arrival.
Nice big rooms and hot showers, helpful staff, it’s a 10/15 minute walk to the centre of town. We stayed here twice in between visiting Machu Picchu and would recommend!

Todo estuvo bien sólo que el baño de mujeres no tenía luz y en ocasiones no había papel 👀 siento que faltó eso para ser un 10 /10 de resto ok

Sehr preiswerte Empfehlung für Cusco. Das Hostel liegt zwar etwas abseits vom Zentrum, aber man kann trotzdem alles gut erreichen. Das Frühstück war relativ gut für Hostelstandards, aber leider gab es keine Küche. Essen und Getränke in der Rooftop Bar seine relativ teuer im Vergleich zu Restaurants und Bars in der Stadt, aber es ist trotzdem relativ komfortabel.
Very cheap recommendation for Cusco. the hostel is located a little out of the center, but you can still get everything well. the breakfast was relatively good for hostel standards, but unfortunately there was no kitchen. food and drinks in the rooftop bar is relatively expensive compared to restaurants and bars in the city, but it is still relatively comfortable.
Amazing hostel!
The location is great and overall value very good. The showers were adequate and usually hot enough, though they could have been cleaner. The hostel has the air of wanting to be a party hostel, and advertises many drinking events throughout the week, but I never saw anyone do any of them. It wasn’t very social at all. The free breakfast was a really nice perk. The staff were friendly, but not super helpful.
Super Hostel, Frühstück top, Restaurant dabei, Personal sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich, Lunch-Pakete für Touren jederzeit möglich, sauber, bequem, ruhige Lage, manchmal hallt der Innenraum, wenn Musik sehr laut ist oder sich Personen laut unterhalten, aber ab einer bestimmten Zeit nachts ist es sehr ruhig.
Super Hostel, Breakfast top, Restaurant at hand, Very helpful and friendly staff, Lunch-Packages für Touren at any time possible, clean, comfortable, quiet Location, sometimes the interior is very quiet, when the Music is very loud or the People are talking loudly, but from a certain time of night it is very quiet.
Todo estuvo muy bien, me encantó mi estadía. El lugar es cómodo, limpio y con muy buena vibra. El personal es súper amable y siempre dispuesto a ayudar. El bar me encantó porque tiene billar y beer pong. ¡Definitivamente volvería!
Everything was very good, I loved my stay. The place is comfortable, clean and with a very good vibe. The staff is super friendly and always willing to help. The bar I loved because it has billiards and beer pong. I would definitely come back!
Es un excelente hostal, tiene instalaciones muy hermosas y limpias, además el personal atiende increíble y te hace sentir como en casa. Tienen espacio de bar y unos platos de cocina increíbles...

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit im Hostel, jeden Morgen gibt es frisches Frühstück, die Mitarbeitenden sind sehr zuvorkommend und man fühlt sich Sicher und gut umsorgt. Das Hostel bietet free walking Touren und auch viele weitere Aktivitäten an, es besteht auch die Möglichkeit Wäsche waschen zu lassen und sein Gepäck nach dem Check-out aufbewahren zu lassen. Allerdings ist es keine sonderlich soziale Atmosphäre, da sich die Leute lieber ausruhen wollen als etwas zusammen zu machen.
We had a very nice time in the hostel, there is a fresh breakfast every morning, the staff is very accommodating and you feel safe and well taken care of. the hostel offers free walking tours and also many other activities, there is also the possibility to have laundry done and to have your luggage stored after check-out. however it is not a particularly social atmosphere as people would rather rest than do something together.
All in all great hostel, has all the facilities for your needs, but everything is a bit less than top notch, otherwise it wouldn’t be a hostel hehe! Nice and friendly staff! David at the reception was amazing and great company! Thanks for everything!
For what you pay it's not worth it: the room is really dirty and the services are not as presented
Great hostel with super friendly staff. Quite cheap but really nice and clean. They have a roof top bar where you get free breakfast. One day they even gave us a private pisco sour class there :)
Nice dorms, decor and showers. A little further walk from the main square than the more popular hostels in Cusco, but a nice option if you want a quieter stay. In shoulder season (late October) it appeared very low occupancy. Service in the restaurant was extremely slow.
