Max ist ein super Host - sehr zuvorkommend und hilfreich. Man bekommt was man bezahlt: sehr einfach und zweckmässig. Für Weiterreisende von oder nach Costa Rica ein guter Ausgangspunkt.

Super liebes Pärchen, welches mir Tipps fürs Reisen gegeben hat und extrem Gastfreundlich war. Die Zimmer sind einfach aber reichen komplett aus, ich habe super geschlafen :) Komme sehr gerne wieder!

Really friendly family owned hostel! You get what you pay for, meaning it’s very simple and good for a nights sleep. The staff was really welcoming! I met some cool people there as well. And free coffee in the morning:)

Max the hostel host was the nicest man I’ve ever met. So accommodating- drove us to the bus stop in the morning, very chatty and eager to learn english, gave me free onions to cook with my dish, and was an overall pleasure to meet. The beds were comfy and the toilet and shower were fine.

Lovely owners, greeted with a smile and super polite. For a fiver a night with a free towel and morning coffee you really can’t complain

I loved my stay here. The owners are so so nice, and made us feel right at home. It feels like a home stay in a very non-touristy area. Max, the owner, was also able to help drive us to the bus stop in the morning, and went out of his way to return me something I left behind and didn’t even realize. Would definitely stay again!!

The cutest little hostel in Rivas. The host is incredibly friendly and welcoming. He converted his house into a hostel, so you really get to live like the locals do, in a neighborhood full of locals. Everything is very clean. I was even allowed to use the washing machine. The area is very safe. He even drove me to the bus stop in the morning. Highly recommended and an incredibly authentic experience.

Marta and Max were the kindest people. Very attentive and ready to accommodate all my needs. Would highly recommend as they are wonderful people.

Super für unseren ersten Eindruck von Nicaragua. Max hat uns total herzlich aufgenommen, uns viele hilfreiche Tipps für das Land gegeben und unsere Spanischkenntnisse gestärkt. Für einen ehrlichen, charmanten und familiären Kontakt komplett zu empfehlen!!!

We booked a private room for two which was great. The bed was comfortable, the fan was great (it was the first fan we have had that has been relatively silent), and we even had an ensuite (no bathroom door, only a curtain). The hosts were so so lovely and welcoming and even gave us complementary coffee. This is a great place to stay if you are stopping off in Rivas as it is a 15 min walk from where the bus drops you off from Managua and there are plenty of food options nearby.

Love this place and would definitely stay again. It has a cozy, authentic feel to it and the owners are very kind. Has everything you need.

Wir kamen von Costa Rica aus über die Grenze nach Nicaragua und hatten uns keinen herzlichen Empfang in Nicaragua vorstellen können. So liebe authentische Gastgeber (besonders Max). Die Unterkunft ist einfach aber gut, es gibt alles und die hohen Deckenhöhen machen die Räume luftiger. Als wir bei der Abreise unser Handy am Ladegerät vergessen hatten liefen sie bis zur Bushaltestelle hinterher um es uns noch zu bringen. Wir haben uns dort durch die Herzlichkeit sehr wohlgefühlt.

Marta and Max are the best part of this hostel, ideal if you only want a bed for the night before moving onto your next place. I personally didn't feel very safe as a female solo traveller in the mixed dorm but the experience might be different in a private space. Good value for money!

very basic facilities but clean and the most lovely and kindest staff you will ever meet who will go out their way for you

In an emergency this may work but you are staying in a shed. Hosts are nice but as adults traveling my wife was pissed.
