If I could give a higher review I would. My expectations were beyond superseded. The rooms, kitchen, and hang out area were all very well maintained and created a great environment to meet new people. Claire and Duncan are very accommodating and do everything they can to make it the trip of a lifetime. I will definitely be back and would 1000% recommend it to anyone.

Claire, Duncan, And Dane made this stay such a joy! Everything was affordable, location was superb, and not to mention they’ll take their time to bring you to the best beaches to catch waves depending on your skill level and conditions. I have nothing bad to say. Thanks for the great stay.

A wonderful place to stay with other surfers in a home environment with all the amenities. We shared meals and socialized as well as went out to restaurants together. The owners provide surfboards and wetsuits to rent as well as lessons if needed. They also drive you out to the surf spots even if you are not taking lessons. They are very accommodating and fun to be with. Thanks for the memorable experience.

They say a place is as only as good as the people in it, and the people that run this surf lodge and those who visit are so kind, welcoming and happy. I had some of the best 4 days here in 4 months of travel and would recommend this special place to everyone. Claire, Duncan and Dane are happy to share their home with you and make you feel like it’s yours as well.

Amazing property, amazing experience, amazing hosts!

I had an amazing stay at the surflodge 1 , really clean house, social but chill atmosphere and perfect if you are traveling alone. You get taken to the best surf spots by car everyday where you can surf all day long , the surfing lessons were amazing as well! Dunkin and Claire are always there when you need anything. Would always come back !

I had a great time here! The surf lessons are good, vibe is good, the house is nice and clean. It’s easy to meet people, and the owners are lovely! Definitely would recommend this place!

Fantastic place to come for a surf holiday. The owner and son take you out twice a day, provide you with local knowledge and make sure you have the best surf experience you can . The atmosphere in the hostel is social and relaxed. Not a party atmosphere type of place, but you will know everyone staying by the end of your trip. Highly Recommend , Thanks. Duncan and Claire are wonderful hosts and the lodge itself is really nice and has all the facilities you could need but the best part is the surfing and the lessons! If you want to improve your surf skills immensely and meet lots of fun people stay here
