Wavy Hostel

Didn’t have WiFi nor cell reception. The water didn’t work half of the time. Room were dirty and really old. The beds were so unstable that your bed would move if someone walked in the room.

Genuinely so bad. Idk why the rating is so high - the place is filthy, the bathrooms have no locks, the rooms themselves are accessible by anyone, and it’s so inconveniently located. Terrible value for money. Go elsewhere.

if I could give no stars I would. In my four months of travelling, this is by far the worst hostel I’ve stayed in. To get to the hostel it’s a trek through the jungle in the pitch black and down a huge hill. The staff don’t want to be there and are so unhelpful. The doors to the dorms don’t lock, even though there’s monkeys everywhere. The water in the showers stained my nails and skin orange due to metal in the water. We zouden 5 nachten hier slapen. Het was alleen echt helemaal niks. De badkamer was half buiten en rook heel muffig. Het water dat uit de kraan en douche kwam, stonk naar ijzer. Ook de kamer was heel matig. Alles was nogal viezig. Ook de lakens op het bed. Daarnaast kan de kamer niet echt op slot, kregen een soort fietsslot om de kamer dicht te kunnen doen. Daarnaast was de sfeer gewoon totaal niet ons ding. Uiteindelijk zijn we maar 3 nachten gebleven. Kregen wel netjes geld van 1 nacht terug.

Stayed here as was a cheaper place close for nestival. On arrival we were told that they were “closed for the season” so if we wanted anything go to nest. There was nothing here, couldn’t even buy a bottle of water The rooms are dirty, doors didn’t shut problem so lots of bugs got in. The beds were horrible to sleep on, mattress was extremely hard. Left a day early due to all the insects in the room and bathroom. Do not recommend staying here.

No opinion of the staff. The food was ok. The room was a disaster. The door to the room was completely impossible to lock and close completely. Since the door couldn't be closed, hundreds of mosquitoes seeped in! The fact that the rooms are not equipped with mosquito nets is beyond criticism. It can't cost you much to install it. The sheets are so disgusting and unclean.Update your informationlist which is everywhere if it is not correct! Would never go back if they dont do a renovation.

Most disgusting, unclean, mosquito infested room I’ve ever been in. Woke up with 20 bites over my face as that was the only part of my body that was out. Couldn’t fit my bag through the door as it was broken.

Die Mitarbeiter waren super nett, aber das Bett im Dorm war so furchtbar, dass ich nach einer Nacht wieder abgereist bin. Das Hostel liegt zwar direkt am Meer, allerdings sind dort nur Steine. Zum Strand und zu den belebteren Orten muss man erst ein Stück durch den Dschungel laufen. Das Essen war ok, aber es gibt fast nichts vegetarisches. Zu diesem Preis war ich echt enttäuscht.

This hostel is in the jungle but is completely ill-equipped for this. Firstly, the doors to the bungalows don’t close. This is this a safety risk and means anything including monkeys that surround the property or many mosquitos can get in. There are no mosquito nets and the staff did not have any when we asked. The beds are insanely hard. It is not a proper mattress but a box of polystyrene which is covered in plastic. The water smells of metal and has dyed our skin, nails and jewellery orange...

Rusty/yellow water, dirty and smelly rooms full of mosquitoes and geckos, multiple power outrages a day. I really would not recommend.

Good location for Nestival and much nicer beach than Longset but wouldn’t particularly recommend staying here. The bunk beds were unsafe, my friend fell off as the barrier not secure and on her way down the ladder it came off with her, this could of left her injured and staff didn’t seem to care. As well as this, holes in the walls, rats in the walls, insect infestations in the bathrooms, awful air conditioning. Water dyed our skin, hair and nails. Also not a single event on so not overly so...

Property was in a great location, close to longest beach and nestival. Food was fantastic, the cleaner was so lovely and she cleaned the rooms daily. However, wouldn’t recommend staying here as there were rats and holes in the walls, water stained our hair/ nails/ skin orange as it isn’t filtered. The staff said this was due to the iron however I haven’t had this issue in the other hostels I’ve stayed in on this island. No events on when we were there so not very social.

Hostel is in a great location for nestival. The staff are the friendliest I have come across on my trip. So nice and very helpful. Unfortunately when I was there the power cut out lots which meant no AC! I was also in a top bunk which was really hard to get in and out of. En-suites were good just a little old/dirty

I really like. Good location between the two beaches and staff really friendly. Rooms very comfy and safe despite no locks. Bathroom is what I expected with it being a hut in the island. If you expect luxury you will be disappointed because it’s a beach hut.

Good location for the boat party and nestival. Aircon was good and the room was a nice temperature. Bad location in relation to other party hostels and food places. Water pressure was usually poor or sometimes non-existent, which was annoying.

We had a lovely stay here, the owners and the staff were so nice to us. The facilities were good, just be prepared to use your bug spray! The food was delicious and we felt so safe there. The only issue we had was on the boat party evening, when we tried to discuss food allergies with someone working and they seemed too busy to care. We would recommend besides that!

Amazing hostel! the best staff, they were amazing and made you feel so welcomed. Great events during the week! Boat party after party the BEST burgers and such a quick walk to Nest for saturday nestival! food here was also to die for, chicken grilled wrap and the banana smoothies was 10/10. Definitely recommend! we had the best time here!

staff were so friendly and helpful! location was perfect in terms of walking distance to koh touch village and nestival. our private room had everything we needed, only improvement would be the blanket on the bed was a little small but everything else fabulous

Had the most amazing time in this hostel- best hostel on koh rong and my fav hostel i’ve ever stayed in!! the absolute loveliest, friendliest team who are always chatty and helpful. The hostel rooms are super cute cosy bungalows with unreal AC, and there’s even a hostel dog!! Perfect location for nestival/ boat party/ jungle party and exploring the local village! Deliciioooous food, and the amazing people and vibes made me extend multiple times and never want to leave!!!

Super squeaky beds, lots of monkeys. Could also hear rats crawling and squeaking in the walls. Water does smell like metal as other reviews say, but this isn’t an issue I’ve found anywhere else on the island. A good location for nestival but there are other hostels in similar locations that are a lot better. Food is v basic and staff all seem very new so no one really knows what’s going on. When I mentioned about possibly extending was told to go elsewhere. Happy that I did

I really had an amazing time in this hostel! Cute bungalow and with an amazing location since it is close to nestival, the village and has a nice sea access. This is really the best hostel in Koh rong and I ended up extending. On top of that, the staff is really amazing and will always help you with anything.

The staff couldn’t be nicer and more friendly, and the bar area is lovely, but the rooms are pretty bad for what you pay. They’re air conned well but the bathrooms are borderline outside, mozzies everywhere and I was put in a room with 5 men (I am a girl), with a bathroom that didn’t even have a doorknob, let alone a lock. I completely understand it’s in the jungle, but for what you pay, it’s pretty rough

This place is phenomenal - the team running the hostel are not only helpful but also a all unbelievably lovely. The food here is some of the best on the island thanks to the hostel chef & the accommodation ac is the best I’ve experienced on my trip so far. Cannot recommend this place enough, by a mile the best hostel on koh rong.

This was the best hostel I have stayed at during my whole 3 months of travelling. I originally booked 7 nights but then quickly extended it to 27 nights and I would have carried on if I could. The food here is unreal and the staff are so welcoming and a lot of fun

Was an unbelievable experience couldn’t be more happy with how everything turned out. The staff was unbelievable couldn’t have asked for a better time. Koh Rong will forever be one of my favorite places I have visited!

Such a nice hostel. Location is great, right next to NEST so easy for going out. About a 20 min walk along the beach to Long set pier. Vibes are really good in the common area and food is nice. Staff are really friendly. The rooms are pretty basic for the price, there are no locks on the doors and just one toilet / wet room for 8 people. But would still recommend highly. Having visited a few of the other hostels on the island, this is definitely one of the nicest ones!

Had a great stay at the hostel, even ended up extending for 2 more nights. The staff were amazing and so welcoming, and the owners were both so lovely and helpful. Would recommend staying here to anyone! In a secluded quiet area which is great for relaxing, but only a 5 min walk from the jungle party and Nestival. Good vibes, pool table and great food and selection of cocktails. Wish we could have stayed longer! Thank you 🤍

My absolute favourite hostel of my trip! Everyone that works here has such a welcoming and kind energy (they will make you laugh a lot). The food is some of the best I’ve had on the island; full of flavour and great value for money. Location is perfect as it’s the middle of the island, good for nestival, the village and only a 20 minute walk to long set! Can’t recommend enough

Myself and my friend had an amazing stay at this hostel during our travels! From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, always ready with great local tips and a friendly smile. The atmosphere was warm and social. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with privacy curtains/blinds on the beds, charging ports and a light. Huge compliments to the chef—the menu had a great variety of options and food tasted incredible.
