Downtown Hostel

It is a decent hostel! I liked the showers! but my electricity pocket and my light weren’t working and the mattress is kinda loud. But the social area is cute! Its just not very social :)

Good for one night stay only. Was supposed to be in a different dorm to what I was put in. Room/floor had not been swept or cleaned and was awful and needed shoes on to touch the floor. Free breakfast was a plus.

The hostels good, budget but you mainly get what you pay for. However we had issues checking in. We had booked a 6 bed dorm for 3 of us, and were told upon arrival that they didn’t have the room, only had 3 beds in 2 separate 4 bed dorms so we had to split and there was no effort to accommodate us at all. These 4 bed dorms were very cramped and one of our parties rooms was practically in the toilet. The showers were also unclean and not very nice to use. The breakfast included is nice.

Beds were decent, they advertise a fan with each bed but not all of them had one. The lockers were left dirty and the showers were blocked. The dorm had a keycard to get in but the door just opened from the outside by twisting the handle, which isn’t the best security. But overall it was pretty clean. They tried to make us pay more than what we owed but it was sorted when we showed them the left to pay part on hostelworld, so just double check what you’re paying when you get there.

All good. But not sure why our room door was not locking. Friendly staffs. Light breakfast. Nice guitar guy at night.

Enjoyed my stay at downtown, staff were super friendly and helpful. They can help you book anything for your onward travel for a good price. Rooms are basic but very comfortable. It’s more of a chilled out vibe. The breakfast is very tasty!

DO NOT RENT MOPEDS FROM THIS HOSTEL. The brakes on our moped did not work. We fell off our bike and got bad wounds. We had to pay 600k to bring the moped back as it was not able to be driven back. We got the money back from the hostel, but only after we asked. We thought the owner could have been more helpful in this situation, maybe organising transport to the clinic, but we had to pay for it all ourselves. Also they tried to overcharge us when we checked in at first so watch out for this!!!

The WORST hostel I stayed in until now. For an hostel it’s very expensive since I got a room literally placed IN the toilets and showers. The room itself was so small you couldn’t even move when other people were in it, it’s a disgrace for its price. WORST OF ALL - I woke up in the morning WITH A NEST OF ANTS IN MY BED AND ALL MY BAGS!!!! I HAD NO FOOD whatsoever. Don’t come here - in the same price you could get a decent hotel.

The place is run down and needs better cleaners. Shoes off in reception (expected) however there was dust and dirt all over the floors in the hallways. Upstairs showers never got cleaned properly. The mattresses are too small for the bed frame so we kept dropping things through the gap and lost a lot of privacy. The save graces are the free breakfast, free pool, location, and nice staff who you can book anything with!

It’s ok, lockers are good, free breakfast is incredible. Toilets and showers are fine and there’s enough of them. The 4 bunk room is very cramped. For nearly £10 a night you can probably get better. It also stinks of smoke upstairs and there was a foul smell coming in from the window overnight. Staff are helpful and can book a lot for you.

Was a pretty good average hostel. One member of staff was good at helping with transport to Nong Khiaw and then back to Vang Vieng - especially when our bus broke down :). However, room was relatively unclean - stains on the floor, a lot of dust and we had some bugs when we first got there (helpful to get rid of them though). Reception/breakfast staff weren’t overly friendly in the actual hostel but wasn’t awful. Also had to pay quite a lot of deposits for room key and locker key so take cha...

Good place to stay. Good location, clean rooms and nice staff. However, we had a private room and the shower flooded the bathroom floor every time we used it. Breakfast was also not the best. Overall, it was still a nice place to stay.

This hostel has a perfect location in Luang Prabang and is clean and comfortable. It is relatively quiet but there is a nice social area with beer and a pool table which you can use for free. The breakfast is pretty good with a few variations of eggs or pancakes and the staff are helpful. There are lockers available and the beds are comfortable and private. Would definitely recommend this hostel

Great location, beautiful city, comfortable rivate rooms

Faites attention, ils veulent vous faire payer plus cher. J’ai dû y retourner pour récupérer mon argent. Les chambres sont bien mais le lit est très bruyant (matelas dans du plastique)! La salle de bain était inondé comme une piscine je n’ai pas pu prendre de douche.
