Charleroi Youth Hostel

One guest turned on all the lights and work everyone up and then farted 5 times in the room and then left at 1 am

Very unpleasant stay due to noises that my dorm mates and I had to endure throughout the night: on one hand, in the room above people kept on dragging objects across the floor; on the other, several people partying outside the room (fine in the bar area downstairs, not where people sleep). Management should put in place measures to prevent this; falling asleep has been a feat. Checked out at 4:20 a.m., few bottles on a table and a drunk guy stared at me before joining his mates at the exit.

Hostal was grand in itself, but the woman who was in my room attacked me during my sleep. Area at night isn’t safe if you are a solo traveler don’t go out at night. I stayed here for the airport. Is convenient for this. Free breakfast which was great. Staff are amazing, friendly and really helpful. They helped with my situation as there is someone on call 24/7.

The breakfast was not good at all, nothing good to eat presented. I am not satisfied with the collection and presentations.

Everything was ok, but the ground floor just doesn’t seems safe. A bit creepy… A masked person can just push you, mug you and run off (in or out of the building). The ground floor deserves some kind of human presence for reassurance. Mainly, for late checkins, even they are hidden away in a room.

Mediocre, this hostel isnt helped by being in the ugliest city in the world. Having to make your own bed sheets really does suck and was a first for me in hostels. For some reason the light in bathroom just wont turn off. I will say the Breakfast was pretty good.

I've stayed just some nights, but one night there were many children and they hit the bottom and beds from midnight to four o'clock in the morning. Complaints to the desk was in vain. One supervising person was there and looked there one time. I thing it was like a weapon against multi traveller like me. If you a sportsmann, you should head that hotel. I think they laugh about that on the desk in the morning time. This unfriendly people I met also in 2023 in a hostel in Gent in Belgium.

Not all beds have sockets and lights

Really close to the train station and close to the bus for the Airport. Otherwise nothing special about this hostel. Did the job for a nights sleep

No meal preparation facilities provided. I had to borrow a plate and knife at the reception desk to eat my food. Breakfast is supplied but I left too early to avail of that

De gemeenschappelijke ruimte is heel relaxed en leuk ingericht. De kamers zijn basic en grijs, daar mag wel wat meer kleur in.

It was gewya

Everything went well. Was easy to access and it was clean. Very great location for a short night.

amazing place to stay for an ugly city

Bonne auberge de jeunesse proposant plusieurs services pouvant être agréable et celle-ci est très bien placée. Cependant, il faisait assez froid dans les chambres, ça aurait été encore mieux si les chauffages étaient allumés.

Personale alla reception molto gentile, ottima, abbondante e varia la colazione. Pulito, consigliato!

Can't really complain

One of the best hostels i ve stayed. Clean, good beds, good breakfast. I stayed there just couple of hours but still great value.

Great location and vibe for a hostel, especially for an overnight stay before or after a flight from the Charleroi airport. Easy access to supermarkets, restaurants, train and bus stations in Charleroi. The staff are friendly, the premises is clean, well maintained, the rooms are quite modern and the mattresses are of good quality. The common area has foosball, a pool table and also table tennis. Must recommend!

Fantástico hostel. Camas muy cómodas, ducha fantástica. Mejorable la almohada y algo más de variedad en el desayuno.

Super hostel! Alles tip top! Bijzonder vriendelijk personeel, schone kamers en schoon sanitair, zeer goed buffet ontbijt (bij de prijs inbegrepen), flexibele inchecktijden, leuke bar en toplocatie! Aanrader!
