Birds Nest Hostel

The staff is friendly, however tries to rip you off. I've booked a mountain flight via the hostel and they were not hoenest with the price. Same when we asked them to order us a taxi. The price was twice as much than when you just stop one on the street. The 6 bed dorm is tiny, there is absolutely NO space to put your bags. Lockers also not available, however they stored our valuables in the staff room and treated them very carefully

Not really clean. I didn’t like this vibe so i left after one night. There is potential but some stuff could be better

We stayed in the family room. The room was nice but the build in bathroom was tiny, didn’t have a ceiling and no sink. Also the wifi didn’t work in the room but only in the common area. The outside of the hostel is nice and the staff are kind.

We booked a private room with a balcony, but we were not given this room the 1st night. Instead, we had to ask to upgrade to the room we had reserved. Also beware of the pressure from the hostel owner’s “brother” to book a trek through Great Vision Trekking. The agent from this company was the person who picked us up at the airport as offered by the hostel (for 1000 rupis- we now know you can get a taxi for 500). Very good location, very nicely decorated common area. My room was also really comfortable and clean. The owner is super friendly and kind, but unfortunately, the (new?) guy at the reception was a quite inattentive and rude sometimes. During my stay, there were many locals from Kathmandu hanging around at the hostel, which was great to connect with them, but in times also a bit annoying since a few of them constantly tried to talk you into hiring them as tour guide.

L'hôtel est bon dans l'ensemble toutefois nous sommes arrivés en pleine restauration. En soi ce n'est pas grave, mais les chambres sont sales et l'eau qu'il y en est sorti avait une mauvaise odeur d'eau stagnante.

Clean, very friendly atmosphere, spacious and good breakfast!

Cute little hostel with loads of different areas to chill. Lovely hot shower. Good food menu too. Only a 5 minute walk into the hustle and bustle. Right next to the tourist bus stop too. 6 and 4 bed dorm looked a bit better than 8 bed but good bang for buck. Not super social as all the social areas are a bit spread out but it’s very chill and nice

L'endroit porte bien son nom, au milieu de la ville un petit nid d'oiseau tranquille qui nous permet de se déposer et de bien dormir. Le personnel est très sympathique!
