Akki's Hostel

the room smelled mouldy, the bathroom wasn’t clean, there are one million mosquitoes which made it impossible to stay in the garden. the owner only came by to collect the money, didn’t care at all about having guests. the only good thing is that it’s to the beach

Liegt in einer touristischen Gegend und etwas außerhalb von Trincomalee Es gibt viel Platz zum chillen:) Klimaanlage war kaputt, dadurch war es schwierig zu lüften Gutes preis/leistungsverhältnis

Lovely family ran hostel , right beside the beach

Akki’s hostel is lovely, perfect location just by the beach. The AC in female dorm worked 2 of my 3 nights. Akki and his mum are lovely, welcoming and kind.

Ostello davanti alla spiaggia, ottima posizione. Carina l'atmosfera e lo spazio fuori con tavoli e amache. Gentilissimi, la mattina è compreso te o caffè. I letti hanno le zanzariere. Unica pecca è che le stanze sono molto umide (nel nostro caso, soprattutto il bagno) e quindi non si asciugavano i vestiti/il costume in camera

This place is very cozy and friendly. Akki is a nice and chill guy who helps you with any question. The location is great, the beach is literally a 2 minuts walk where you can chill or dine at a beach restaurant. There were renovations going on when i was there, like improving the outside area and the bathroom but it did not bother me since i was out most flof the day. P.S. The 4 bed female drom has aircon, the rest I don't think so. So it's not a place you can chill in bed during the day.

I stayed in the 4 bed female dorm and had a great stay! Akki’s pets were a highlight! Great value, good air conditioned room. The mattresses are pretty thin but the vibe makes up for it. Less than a 1 minute walk to the beach and close to heaps of awesome food spots. Would stay again!

Had a great stay. A friend and I stayed in the female only dorm. We had ac, all the basics to get by. Tea and coffee in the morning was a nice touch. Super chill vibe with beautiful garden area. 1 mins walk from the beach. We rented a scooter from here, so easy, great experience.

Staff was very friendly, Location is perfect, and there’s a very cute dog! but there’s not much going on at this hostel & the bed + pillow were rock hard. En suite bathroom situation was not fantastic either, big gap above the door. Room wasn’t lit well.

It was a very nice and cute athmosphere, me and my friends had a good time there! The staff is very nice and it was clean!

Super good vibe, Akki and his mum are great but the facility and the cleaning are not great. If you care more for a cozy vibe that the place it will be a great experience!

The room was very hot because it hadn’t any AC. There were two ants nest in the bathroom. It also wasn’t very social. But the women who checked me in was very sweet and friendly

This hostel has so much potential. The staff is wonderful and the location is a 2 min walk to the beach. There was a social vibe but not crazy. The only negative is how hot the rooms get. The fans don’t really do much because of the ventilation. I ended up changing hostels because the room was just too hot for me. However, if you don’t mind the heat, I would recommend. The rooms were big with lockers, nets, and good facilities

Really fun hostel with a back to basics vibe, only thing was that the toilet didn’t lock but we had a good time + they had the cutest dog 🤙🤙 perfect location

einfaches hostel mit sehr entspannter atmosphäre! akki und seine mama haben sich um alle anliegen gekümmert, die man hatte. es gab leider keine AC in den zimmern weswegen es sehr warm war. aber es gab ventilatoren im zimmer. strand in 2 min. zu fuß erreichbar. wäscheservice

Loved this place 100% recommend to stay here it is like 50 meters from beach, from the hostel you can go on snorkeling tours with little discount and the family is so nice❤️
