Barbarossa

Die Betten sehen aus als wären sie selbst mit Sperrholz zusammen gebaut worden und die Sanitäter Einrichtungen sind nicht einmal im Zimmer.

Het was een verschrikkelijk verblijf. Hang een bordje op dat er na bijv. 23.00 u GEEN LAWAAI mag worden gemaakt. De hele nacht geschreeuw en gegil. Douches en toiletten waren onvoldoende schoon. Bij de wastafels te weinig afzetruimte en geen haakjes. Vloer in de kamer niet afgewerkt. Keuken was chaos. Personeel spreekt ALLEEN Engels. Wens in mijn eigen land in het NL te worden aangesproken. De prijs-kwaliteit verhouding is volledig zoek (> E. 100). Prachtige plek, maar helaas NOOIT weer.

Toilets were not clean and not ventilated. Rooms were damp with insufficient ventilation. Overall a very negative and bitter experience.

Het was basic maar prima. Jammer dat onze kamer stonk. De voegen van de douche kunnen ook wel een schrob beurt gebruiken. Personeel was behulpzaam en vriendelijk

Location is very good and beds/facilities are fine. It was just a bit awkward using the shared spaces. There was a lot of staff that took up space in the living area, watching Netflix very loudly. I also think that they were stoned most of the time. You could also smell the weed. Some staff couldn't really understand English so communication wasn't the easiest. I did see them cleaning regularly and the showers are spacious so that's a plus.

Decent hostel in citycenter of Nijmegen. Good kitchen and communal areas. Private room small but fine. Mixed dorm quite big with decent bunk beds and lockers.

We booked a private room for the two of us, and it was good for a one-night stay!

I had a great time at the Barbarossa Hostel. In every moment i felt very safe and comfortable. The people from the house and the other travellers were really nice. I would definetly come back! :)

Sehr schönes Hostel mit angenehmer Atmosphäre. Küche, Klavier, Terrasse stehen zur Verfügung. Leider nicht genügend Schließfächer für alle Betten auf dem Zimmer. Könnte aber ohne Probleme die Schließfächer an der Rezeption benutzen.

Very great location, hostel was pretty empty when I went, but rooms, kitchen, and common spaces were all nice and clean. The only problem I had was that my room didn't properly lock, but I'm not sure if it was just because I didn't know how.

Great hostel. There is not really at atmosphere, but it’s a great place to have a clean safe bed and good night sleep.

Nice location in quiet part of town. Clean, helpful staff, nice garden area, I enjoyed my stay and will be back.

Room, shower and toilet were nice and clean. The room is secured by a 4-digit numerical lock, but we were told the code number while others were at the reception area as well, which felt a bit less secure. Another min point was that we were not able to open our window for fresh air throughout most of the night for quite a few smokers (regular & weed) sat right next to it in the backyard (first table when entering it). Other than that our stay was okay and uncomplicated.

Very quiet, but to be expected at this time of year. However, I didn't mind that considering that it was well heated, had clean and modern facilities, appliances and spacious dorms. Honestly, for price and relative comfort nothing came close. I'm sure the vibe in summer is completely different, but no doubt fun. I would definitely recommend Barbarossa!

We werden vriendelijk ontvangen kregen goede uitleg, het zag er schoon en verzorgd uit

Definitely not a social hostel, don’t come here if you are expecting that. However the showers and sinks were both powerful and clean, so it’s great if you’re happy to do your own thing. It can be loud at night from the bar/club next door. Also, there should be more thought into which guests stay together. I was placed alone with two elderly men who were a bit strange, surely it would have made more sense to put me with other young people?

Wonderful hostel! Amazing vibe.
