The guy in the reception he cancel my stay in the last minute.. and it’s so annoying, and u will not recommend this place at all !
The hostel was one of the worst I’ve stayed in. Little effort into maintenance with smashed windows in bathrooms and poor hygiene. The mattress and pillow supplied was not comfortable and the hostel is in a state of repair. Only small plus is the staff are nice but owners showing clear lack of responsibility to manage this property.
Non tornerei in questa struttura e non mi sento di suggerirla, sia per il livello di pulizia che é davvero scarso, sia per la posizione (uscire a piedi in quella zona é molto difficile e pericoloso) e anche per i modesti consigli ricevuti dallo staff. Mi dispiace essere così dura ma avevo letto ottime recensioni che non ho potuto assolutamente condividere.
I would not return to this facility and I do not feel like suggesting it, both for the level of cleanliness which is really poor, and for the location (to walk out in that area is very difficult and dangerous) and also for the modest advice received from the staff.
É um local pra jovens ué não estão interessados em conforto, esculhbacao nos quartos, armários horríveis pra guardar os objetos pessoais ! Só fiquei uma noite e perdi meu dinheiro !
There are bed bugs in this hostel!!! So do not go there. It is really sad because the hostel itself is nice and the staff is very friendly but the bed bugs are a big no for me!
Rough. Would not recommend. Dirty, bed bug infestation, mattresses no different to gym mats and weird vibes overall. Wanted to leave earlier but had paid the money so stuck with it - on my final night left my room at 4am as I couldn’t do it any longer. Shower is hot and good pressure though. Cheers.
We stayed for 4 days in a Private room. There was a nice garden and possibility to wash and dry the clothes outside. The room was clean, but the matresses were really hard and we could not sleep. The atmosphere was a bit weird and we would not recommend it for young travelers. The surroundings are not safe, you need to take an Uber to reach other places. The colourfull stairs are close and it is possible to walk 5 minutes to see them.
I expected way more from previous reviews. The district laps itself was kind of ok. The parties were good, but literally everything from the hostel to the metro station smelled like piss. In the five days I was there, I never experienced a clean bathroom… not so nice. The pillows were yellow. I felt save in the hostel. But there were some sketchy people in the surroundings of the hostel. The personnel was nice and helpful. But generally I wouldn’t go there.
We were there during carneval, maybe its different at other times but for us it was contantly dirty both in the room and in the common areas. There was (used) toilet paper on the floors and shits in the toilet. Also the sinks didnt work so we had to buy waterbottles to brush our teeth. No air condition in our room so it was horrible sleeping there. The only good thing was the location as it is quite central, but we will not return here. There are way better hostels in Rio.
Hostel super pour rencontrer d'autres voyageurs. Par contre, les equipements sont vetustes dans l'ensemble, et surtout, il y a des punaises de lit dans certains dortoirs.
Hostel great for meeting other travelers. on the other hand, the facilities are fancy overall, and most importantly, there are bed bugs in some dorms.

Super fijn hostel in Lapas. Voelt heel huiselijk. Iedereen is super vriendelijk. Het ontbijt is simpel maar goed genoeg. Echt een aanrader! Een super chille omgeving in Rio.

Very underrated. I had great time there. The empolyees very nice and vibe was amazing. The only "downside" is if you wanna go Copacabana you need like 20 min uber (Moto). And the famous rio stairs are around the corner. Thats a Big W Hostel
Ich hatte eine gute Zeit! In der Gegend gibt es viele Obdachlose, das muss einem Bewusst sein (kann das Hostel nichts dafür). Die Mitarbeiter waren fantastisch! Die Betten könnten besser sein.
I had a good time! there are a lot of Obdachlose in the area, one must be aware of that (the hostel can't do anything about it). the staff were fantastic! the beds could be better.

Super fijn hostel met een hele goede sfeer en super vriendelijk personeel. Ze nemen echt de tijd om dingen uit te leggen en nemen je soms ook mee op pad de stad in in hun vrije tijd! Voelt niet zo onpersoonlijk en massaal als sommige hostels in ipanema en copacabana. Ook nog eens een ontbijtje inbegrepen!
They really take the time to explain things and sometimes even take you on a city road trip in their free time! doesn't feel as impersonal and massive as some hostels in ipanema and copacabana. even a breakfast included!

Property was amazing!! Close to bars, famous steps, blocos and other events going on during carnival. Friendly staff.

Le meilleur hostel de Rio, notamment grâce aux volonteer Andres, Brenda et Ahmed !! Les parties communes permettent d'échanger facilement avec les autres, il y a toujours une bonne ambiance et l'endroit est parfait pour découvrir Rio. Difficile de quitter cet hostel pour beaucoup d'entre nous 💛
The best hostel in Rio, thanks in particular to the volunteers Andres, Brenda and Ahmed!! the common areas allow easy exchange with others, there is always a good atmosphere and the place is perfect to discover Rio. hard to leave this hostel for many of us

The staff was very nice and gives you tips on what to see and where to eat well. It was clean and has a nice location. And you also fill up very safely there.

O hostel está localizado numa rua tranquila a 5 minutos a pé da Lapa (restaurantes, bares, supermercados). O staff é muito simpático e a casa tem muitas áreas comuns para socializar com outros viajantes, além de um lindo jardin com redes e vistas deslumbrantes para relaxar e curtir o pôr do sol! O café da manhã é simples mas achei justo pelo preço.
The hostel is located in a quiet street 5 minutes walk from Lapa (restaurants, bars, supermarkets). the staff is very friendly and the house has many common areas to socialize with other travelers, plus a lovely garden with nets and stunning views to relax and enjoy the sunset! the breakfast is simple but I found it just right for the price.
