Battuta Hostel

i liked the hostel and it is considered one of the best. BUT i had a critical issue with the staff, they just kicked me out without previous notice! I stayed around 10 days there and i liked their home but last day i wanted to extend my stay as i always do but they refused and claimed a reason that is not justified.I was waiting for my documents to be processed in Amman and i needed to stay another two days only, im paying money and im a guest and their reason was childish.

Hostel pas propre (dans la chambre, dans les parties communes - car hostel en chantier, et surtout dans la salle de bain où on constatait des fuites d’eau), assez bruyant avec des portes qui sonnent automatiquement…et des serviettes de bain « en location payante » Bref, une mauvaise expérience, je déconseille

First I just want to say the staff were all so kind and welcoming. The breakfast was good too. But I didn’t enjoy my stay here, so I’ll leave a few suggestions. 1st, bigger trash cans should be put in the bathrooms. By the end of each day, the trash can was overflowing so much that people were throwing their used toilet paper on the floor. Gross. 2nd, something should really be done about the doors. They were SO loud, I didn’t get more than 4 hours of sleep each night. + bathroom shelf

To be honest, I don’t understand the reviews because the photos are completely something different than what you will find there. The rooms (at least the one I was in the ground floor). Also the salon (shared space) I don’t even think is the one of the photos. I could find under my bed a huge ball of hairs and dust. The bathroom was super dirty and some stinky clothes left by travellers around the room, no one picked them up. Also the rooftop was empty, no people or environment as seems to b...

Het personeel is vriendelijk en behulpzaam, de locatie is goed. De kamer was oud en de badkamer was helemaal niet schoon. Ik weet niet of het aan de mensen lag met wie ik op de kamer lag, maar het was heel erg vuil.

I booked one of the private twin rooms. The room I had was on the ground floor. The room is separated from the corridor by a set of 4 lightweight folding doors with glass panels. Unfortunately, this meant everything that happened in the corridor and beyond was heard very clearly in the room. Conversations, opening and closing doors, people in the common room, going up and down the stairs. I had booked for 4 nights but I left after 1 night. Everything else in the hostel seemed great.

I was disappointed with the breakfast as there was a big difference vs the pictures they showed.

Look the facilities are great, the atmosphere was meh but unfortunately the man with the glasses who works at reception ruined it for me. Felt very uncomfortable around him and wouldn’t recommend anyone stays here for that reason. There’s better in Amman :)

lots of space in the dorms which was nice. mould in the bathrooms though. breakfast was nice but pricey. amazing view of amman which made it worth it. nice location and short walk into downtown

Really nice and clean hostel. Regret the lack of information given about the hostel when checking in. If you're not driving it's quiet a strecht to go downtown

My stay here was amazing! Amazing location and the kitchen was very useful. The rooftop was also an amazing place to hang out and get some work done. One thing that would’ve been nice would be to have a fan or the ac controller in the room for airflow and white noise at night

1. The common areas are huge, and there’s a space to relax on every floor. 2. The room is really spacious, too! The bed is comfortable, and there’s plenty of natural light. 3. The Wi-Fi signal is super stable. 4. The kitchen is wide open and fully equipped for cooking!

Amazing hostel, the staff are incredibly nice and so helpful. I really enjoyed my time here, and will be back! I recommend this hostel to anyone who's in Amman!

Both fun and cozy stay at Battuta hostel. The staff quickly became our friends and always helped us out. Overall great experience

Highly recommended stay in Amman

I stayed at another top-rated hostel when I first arrived in Amman and, while it was nice, staying at Battuta at the end of my trip had me wishing I was able to stay here when I first got to Jordan! The staff went above and beyond to assist me with some issues I had, the beds were comfortable, the rooms large with lots of natural light, and everything was clean. The rooftop was lovely, and I couldn’t recommend this hostel more.

The hostel itself is nice. Is more about that my food that I left in the kitchen was taken for someone else (something strange) The hostel gave me a free cupon for breakfast for the damage (nice thing) so I had my flight at 9am so I left the hostel at 5am and it supposed that the guy of the bar will left my breakfast ready to take it but when I when to check, he didn't leave the breakfast even that he told me that he won't forget, I had to eat once I reached the airport (disappointed!)

Our 4 bed private room was absolutely amazing. The staff gave plenty of amazing recommendations and were very friendly.

The location is not amazing but good (15min to the centre) Staff is very nice, rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable The shower wasn’t in its best days and some parts are a bit dirty. Great rooftop, wouldn’t necessarily recommend the breakfast. Nice 24/7 place to eat shawarma in 2min by feet. Overall, good budget-option in Amman.

No elevator but just three floors. You may need to remind for ACs to be turned on. Friends in the reception and the ground floor kitchen guy are cool. They have cultural movie or family dinner nights. Big rooms and good decoration, may need to change the couch in the common area. Thanks for all !

Super friendly and helpful staff. I enjoyed my stay here and found it pretty convenient to walk around the city from the hostel. Also, a lot of great food super close by!

Un superbe endroit pour rester à Amman quelque jours! Le staff est accueillant et toujours disponible pour vous aider. Les locaux sont très beaux et bien entretenus. L’emplacement est également idéal pour visiter Amman.

The best hostel in town! Wonderful location, cozy and welcoming atmosphere and great staff! Definitely recommend it if you're looking for a friendly and quiet place to stay.
