La Casa del Patio

it's more of a homestay then a hostel. the lady running it is soo sweet even with my broken Spanish she was very helpful. It is located outside the city center, so expect roads that aren't paved. you'll need the bus or Ubers to get anywhere in the city. It is a walkable distance from the bus terminal.

Owner very nice/accomidating. No english.Lockers ARE available in commons.Location is very far away from centro, dining 3-4km; grocery store is close tho. The barrio is admittedly pretty rough; unpaved streets, lots of trash. But the owner/operator keeps her house clean! Very quiet, except for the multitude of neighborhood dogs barking all night. ac in the 4 room dorm upstairs works very well. Power was out for almost a whole day, not owners fault. again,rough barrio! felt safe tho! sml commons

Es un lindo hostel, atendido por la dueña que se ocupa de que todo vaya perfecto. Es una zona segura y de fácil acceso a distintos puntos de la ciudad. Me sentí bien atendida y alojada. Tiene todo lo necesario para alojarse, tener un buen descanso, opciones para cocinar y un lindo patio para disfrutar.

We had a lovely time staying with Angelica, she was a fantastic host and looked after us well despite my poor Spanish 😅 it's close to a couple of bus routes so easy to get to the terminal or into the city centre. The kitchen was well equipped, the showers were hot and the rooms were comfortable. It was also nice to meet the very friendly cat!

No lockers, but buena honda and Angelica has great tips and know the area well!
