Bed bugs. We stayed two nights at deejai until we heard other residents talking about bed bugs. We checked out beds and found them infested. Management switched the sheets and offered us free food. We decided to leave and asked for a refund. We were given half of our money back and had to pay 600 baht each to get all of our possessions cleaned. After we left, the manager told our dorm mates that “this is those girls fault they are dirty”, rude. This hostel has great potential if cleaned.
No air con in the rooms, location miles away from anywhere, rooms smelt, beds uncomfortable, bathrooms far too inadequate for how many people there were, dogs howling overnight made it hard to sleep, and couldn’t even wear shoes around the hostel. Definitely one to avoid!
Absolutely horrible hostel. Avoid at all costs! I couldn’t be more upset about my choice to stay here. No A/C in any of the rooms. In this weather, that is absolutely absurd. Beds are uncomfortable as f**k and there is a dog that barks and howls all night. Zero sleep. No wifi connection in the room so in case you can’t sleep because the dog is barking and it’s 90 degrees, don’t worry you will also have to use up your cellular data. Everybody just sits and gets high (on mushrooms and weed...
Rooms are filthy, there are mosquitos everywhere and beds are very hard. There is no ceiling fan.
Doors couldn't be locked. Men came unasked in a female dorm. Cold water in the showers. Dirty bed & bathroom. No curtains. Dogs sparked so loudly every night. Bad wifi connection.
Staff don’t know how to handle bookings, ask for more money after we made multiple bookings and are so IT illiterate that they have to call the boss to send a simple receipt. Not that hard to use a computer.
The location is beautiful, many great activities and the staff is really nice, but that's basically everything positive I can say. My dorm room smelled very bad all the time, and ants crawled on me during both nights and woke me up. The guy in the reception forgot I payed and asked me to pay again, and the restaurant is both not that cheap, not that good and has small portions compared to other restaurants in pai. Specific kind of people would love it, everybody else should avoid.
Avoid this place if you want a normal hostel. Seems to be a good community with a focus on yoga, ice baths and those sorts of activities. Beyond that this place had little going for it. On more than one occasion the reception staff seemed entirely disinterested in helping me. This was most frustrating when I tried to check out at 8am and no one came to the desk until 8:20am and I had to be on a bus in town at 9am. I also had a few items stolen and overall cleanliness was average at best.

Nice, cozy hostel with a good atmosphere. A real Pai relaxation spot, hammocks, hanging chairs (shoes off, no lockers). They offer fun activities like yoga and fire shows (sometimes the program was cancelled without notice, but we were there in the low season). The location is quite far from the city - not for walking- but in return there is nature. The hostel does not rent out scooters.
amazing place. if you're looking for relaxed vibe with a sense of community this is a great spot

The hostel has a lot of nice activities to do each day. The food and drinks are nice and the staff is very friendly. This is a big hostel with a lot of dorms. For us it was a bit too busy but the overall vibe was great. In these big hostels it’s sometimes harder to connect. The beds were quite hard, we left the hostel in a good mood but with some backpain 😁 Our bathroom was very clean but smelled really bad all the time. Overall great place with a good vibe!
Ended up staying in Pai for over a month! Atlas is a community, not just a hostel.
Milad, Eva & James were amazing, helpful and friendly! The property is beautiful and the community vibes are great:)
The property is beautiful. It’s a 30 minute walk to the hostel from the main part of town. Loved the free yoga classes. The bathrooms aren’t the cleanest and the curtains are only on one side of the bed so there is still big spaces.
This hostel is in such a beautiful location and is a very chill spot but it didn’t quite live up to the hype. It’s not a great hostel if you’re a morning person, if you wake up before 8 then it’s still pretty gross from the night before. It’s pretty out of the way and the food is really expensive, which I didn’t think was fair given the hostel is already quite expensive per night. Vibe was okay - very chill but not particularly warm. Maybe people were too stoned to hold a conversatio...
Always an activity going on around site. Welcoming staff and good food at hostel. Very hippie but a great experience
Incroyable, calme, tout en étant social. Beaucoup d’activités qui donnent envie d’y rester 1 mois
Bester Ort an dem man sich aufhalten kann !!! Jeder hier ist so offen und herzlich ich vermiss es jeden tag ! Kann es nur weiter empfehlen
Loved everything about the hostel, except the women’s dorm smells musty. I think it’s from the bathrooms always being moist, there’s 2 showers for 16 beds and there’s not good ventilation. Stayed in a mixed dorm for a night and it was great
This hostel is not only a hostel bur the whole Pai experience. If you want to get stuck in the Pai hole, this is the perfect place to start and enjoy the beautiful community there!
Pretty view, but not super clean. As I was leaving, a girl found a cockroach in her bed.
This place is VERY HIPPY. I can get down with a bit of the woo but this was way too much for me. You can't go anywhere without smelling the weed and hearing people talk about doing drugs. I would recommend staying somewhere else and just coming here for the events you're interested in. Thats what SO many people were doing when I stayed here. You don't need to sleep here. The rooms aren't amazing.
To me my stay was a bit awkward. Lot of the people there do drugs. The room was smelly and the AC didn’t work. During my stay the water also didn’t work. When it came back, it was brown.. the nature and view is beautiful and the breakfast is also very good tho! loved the dogs too. If you’re very spiritual it’s nice I guess but not the right place for me
Great vibe, loloved the yoga in the morning. Really chill place, I would recommend having a scooter if you stay there.
Sehr tolles angenehmes Hostel wo immer was los ist!
A great hostel if you want to get the “Pai” experience. I would recommend this place for longer stays rather than short term stays, however. The day I was due to leave (4th day) was when I felt like I was just starting to settle in. It’s more community vibes rather than short term hostel vibes. Definitely keen to return for a longer stay though. They had lots of fun daily activities such as free yoga in the morning. Overall, I enjoyed the hostel.
