Great place. Compared to other hostels in the capital, it’s the best one. You sleep well, and the kitchen and rooms are cleaned every day.
Nice hostel with friendly & helpful staff. Not all the staff speak English, but google translate fixes that! Location was a bit further out than expected but it’s only a $4 uber into the historic Centro. Or bus, but I didn’t catch that, so can’t comment on the details. Beds are pod style & super comfy. I thought so anyway. Bathroom was clean, but aged. Also only one for the floor. Has hot water! If dorm was full, might be a bit less convenient. Definitely recommend for a night or two.
A nice hostel in a good location, but it did feel a bit overpriced as the dorm was quite basic
The only bad thing is that you can use the shared kitchen until 11am 🫠
Everything was great I had no issues overall I had a good experience it's in a great location lots of things to do there's a mall right around the corner they are really good restaurants on the other side there's a bus that takes you to the center of the city there's a lot of things to do geographically it's a great place to stay you have access to pretty much the whole country from there there's also a bus company across the street that can take you to other Central American countries
Negative reviews of the property are likely ones that booked in the older rooms - do yourself a favour and go for one of the delux dorms! They are proper capsulte dorms that are clean, spacious and with plenty of amenities. I was only staying for a night on two separate occasions but even in my short time there it was apparent that it' not the most social hostel. The location is very safe however, and there is a sufficient kitchen + eating area so I didn't feel the need to eat out.
I had to catch a bus in the morning and for that Zona hostel was the perfect choice due to its proximity to the bus stop. It's also located in a safe area of the city with some malls and many restaurants nearby. The dorm beds have everything you need: light, socket and curtain. What I didn't like however is that the bottom beds are just mattresses on the floor and with the ceiling very low, it's a bit sketchy if you're claustrophobic like me. Beds are assigned and can't be switched.
They are lucky that there are very few hostels in San Salvador, because ordinarily this would be a terrible experience. Half the rooms don't have outlets/reading lights. The staff are disinterested and know nothing about the area, and there are no attempts to encourage socialisation between the guests. My experience here has only served to make me want to open my own hostel here and show them how it should be properly run.
员工很热情,遇到问题都会帮忙解决
$5 breakfast is a bit of a rip off for some eggs, bread and beans, there are plenty of cafes and restaurants around for better. The location is on a main road which isn’t the nicest but it wasn’t too noisy. Bed was comfy but the pillow was paper thin and curtain didn’t close properly. The A/C broke / turned itself off on my 1st night but 2nd was fine. Facilities and staff were good otherwise. The receptionist also let me use the computer to fill out a long form I had, which was very apprec...
I really liked this hostel - its simple, clean, nice staff, cozy beds, easy luggage storage, and easy to get to. You can check in late at night or in the early morning if you have a late flight also. The only thing that was a little off was the bathroom showers were just stalls right next to the toilets and there was usually a little bit of water on the floors so your feet would always get wet, if you were going to the bathroom, but this isnt a big deal.
Pretty grim hostel, we paid $15 for the basic room and it had no plug sockets no lights and i got bitten by mosquitos all night as the window was wide open and you could not shut it. If you stay here pay the extra for a better room because the basic room is vile
People in the reception were unpolite and not helpful. You can only pay with cash although on Hostelworld there’s written you can pay with card. There are more toilets and showers for men but for woman only 1. The toilets were dirty almost all the time and you couldn’t find papers to clean. WiFi doesn’t work well.
Clean, decent facilities. Limited hot water. If booking a shared dorm, go for the ensuite (AC) or deluxe (fans in beds). The basic dorm (cheapest) is the one everyone complains about in the reviews. Not a social hostel, but was friendly, good value, and is in a great area.
I’d recommend you double-check which room you book, they go up by levels with the ones on the ground floor being pretty poor, old, and unventilated. Upper rooms are nicer. The bathrooms don’t have solid hot water, but it’s manageable. Not a very social hostel - other travelers are nice but the hostel organizes absolutely nothing. It is located in one of the fanciest areas of San Salvador - which means safety is good. Nightlife is located in the area - the hostel should take advantage of th...
All the staff were great help. The kitchen could use a few more pots and pans. Nice the refrigerator was kept clean. I had trouble getting hot water for shower on 2 different mornings. I am not a fan of the cubicle design but was comfortable enough. Common area good. Nice they have 24 hours reception. I would recommend them.
The place is well located, but you have to improve your facilities. It’s not possible that you don’t have an outlet in your bed and you have to charge your devices out of you space. I recommend your staff will be more enthusiastic, quite serious while they are welcoming you. And finally, too much mosquitoes, would be great fumigate. In general is ok to stay
expensive for what you get no charging ports near bed lower room stinks not enough lockers only one bathroom/toilet - looks good in general. the staff is nice and helped with questions. its fine if its for one night.
