Wouldn’t recommend this hostel to anyone. I only stayed one night and that was too much. The staff are lovely but the rooms are dated, smell, the toilets are gross. No AC. Honestly the only hostel I’ve ever given such a low review

Fuyez ! Fuyez cette adresse. C’est un marchand de sommeil. Hygiène déplorable, literie infecté, cuisine sous équipée et sale, les frigidaires sont pleins et nids à microbes et bactéries. Cerise sur le gâteau, à mon retour de soirée, mon lit avait été affecté à un autre client. Je n’ai pas pu y dormir donc. J’ai quitté ce lieu sans que l’on accepte de me rembourser. Run ! Run away from this address. He is a sleep merchant. Lamentable hygiene, infected bedding, under-equipped kitchen and sale, refrigerators are full and nests of microbes and bacteria. Cherry on cake, when I returned from the evening, my bed had been assigned to another customer. I could not sleep. I left this place without them accepting to reimburse me. Complaint pending at the court of commerce. Notice to the Hygiene Customer service of the city of Bordeaux. drugs and alcohol.
My god was this probably the worst hostel I’ve stayed at, the bathrooms are gross and have mold that you can actually see, and I think the worst part was just the smell of the place. I even asked one of the employees and he said that he didn’t want to know and that they’re used to be rats in the building. Idk for the price of 24 a night I knew it wasn’t going to be great but oh my god was it bad. Won’t be coming back
Staff are so friendly and supportive! The bathrooms and shower require a big renovation to make them clean and safe - a lot of mould unfortunately. Water everywhere and felt super filthy. The other facilities like the kitchen, WIFI, lounge area is lush and perfect.
This musty dusty crusty hostel doesn’t even deserve a 2.9. I understand we all want to travel on a budget but to ask €30 per night for this is a RIP OFF. We are girls girls, and we will tell you the truth. First of all there was mold all over the shower, like you could actually smell the mold. There was only one bathroom and two toilets for 30 people! We have never experienced a place actually smelling musty, it was HORRIBLE. Really do not recommend tbh….

Chegamos no Hostel e foi nos cobrado um valor diferente do aplicativo. Cobraram pulseiras e não foi nos dado as tais pulseiras, o café também não tem nada além de dois pães e um croissant, foi péssimo! Nossas camas não estavam reservadas, ficamos em quartos separados. Não recomendo pois não foi feito nada para resolver nossos problemas. Infelizmente não gostei da experiência e não tinha como procurar outro naquele momento.
We arrived at the Hostel and were charged a different value than the application. We charged bracelets and were not given such bracelets, or the cafe also has nothing but two loaves of bread and a croissant, it was terrible! Our beds were not reserved, we stayed in separate rooms. I do not recommend as nothing was done to solve our problems. Unfortunately I did not like the experience and I could not find another one at that moment.
hostel - 18 ans et ils mettent deux groupes d'adolescents à côté qui hurlent toute la soirée et dès le matin sans parler que quand je prenais la douche ils tapaient dans la porte sans arrêt car "ça fait 1 heure que je prends la douche" alors que j'y étais depuis 5 minutes.. et j'ai du sortir pour les calmer car leurs responsables n'étaient pas capables. J'ai réservé un lit dans une chambre 10 et on était une 20aine. sécurité lit cassé donc j'ai glissé et pété le genoux.. plein ...
Hostel - 18 years old and they put two groups of teenagers next to me who scream all evening and in the morning without talking that when I was taking a shower they knocked on the door non-stop because "I've been taking a shower for 1 hour" when I was there for 5 minutes.. and I had to go out to calm them down because their supervisors were not able. I booked a bed in a room 10 and we were a 20aine. security bed broken so I slipped and peed my knee.. lots of things to review

Good beds in the female room. As a young woman I didn't like that there were older men staying in the hostel, I stayed in the mixed room for 1 night and I didn't feel comfortable. They stole my food in the fridge and when I complained in the reception to see the cameras they ignore my request and told me it has happened before. I had a good experience with other people in the reception, they were friendly & let me know some places to visit. I don't think I will be back again. Vibes were off.
Great location a few minutes from the river, in a centuries old stone building in the historic centre. You can walk or use one of the many transport options available a short walk away to get around. There's a 24h reception with food and drink available. The hostel facilities are in need of attention and I was told it will close soon for works (my visit was end october 2025). That said, it was a warm-hearted, interesting and good value place to stay.

It was fine… location was pretty good. The facilities imo were bad though, the toilets were incomplete (the back of the basin had been removed), there was a lot of black mould on the ceiling and the shower was self held (you had to hold the shower head above you yourself). The room got very hot in the night. I didn’t like the face that the rooms were in a separate building to the living spaces so it felt very disconnected and no social at all.
Overall war es in Ordnung. Die Sanitäranlagen waren jetzt nicht super und auch nicht besonders sauber, aber das Zimmer war in Ordnung. Ich würde glaube ich nicht noch einmal herkommen, aber für eine Nacht war es nicht allzu schlimm.
The sanitation was not great now nor was it particularly clean, but the room was in order. i don't think i would come here again, but for one night it wasn't too bad.

The hostel is located in the north of Bordeaux, probably a 15-20min walk from the city center. I stayed in the 4bed female dorm that had super comfy beds! However, there is only 1 toilette and 1 shower on the 2nd floor. The toilette has no soap and the shower doesnt have anthing to put the shower head on the wall. Overall, these facilities can be massively improved. I normally went down to the first floor to shower and use the WC. Family dinners at night are fun and a good way to meet new people
Es schimmelte stark an der Decke. Bei einer der zwei Toiletten ging die Spülung für eine Weile nicht und die Toiletten waren nicht immer sauber. Die Atmosphäre war nicht so gut.
There was a lot of mold on the ceiling, one of the two toilets didn't flush for a while and the toilets weren't always clean, the atmosphere wasn't so good.

Boa localização, apesar de não ser no centro, é bem seguro e fica perto de uma estação de tram. O espaço comum é bem equipado, tem cozinha completa, o que para mim faz muita diferença para baratear o custo de uma viagem. O quarto é bem limpo e confortável, tem ar condicionado, então no verão é bem fresquinho. De ponto negativo tem só o wifi que não pega no quarto (mas tem no espaço comum), e o banheiro, que no meu andar só tinha 1, e dependendo do horário do dia a limpeza de...
The common area is well equipped, has a full kitchen, which for me makes a big difference to cheapen the cost of a trip. the room is very clean and comfortable, has air conditioning, so in summer it is very cool. the negative point is it only has wifi that doesn't connect to the room (but it has no common area), and the bathroom, which on my floor only had 1, and depending on the time of day the cleaning was a little out of the question.
Geweldige locatie en super aardig personeel! Het hostel zit in een mooi oud gebouw en er is een grote algemene ruimte. Als je op zoek bent naar een sociaal hostel denk ik niet dat dit de beste plek is, we waren hier midden in de zomer maar toch zaten er vooral oudere mannen op onze kamer. Ook was de AC kapot en deed een man de hele tijd het raam dicht wat voor irritatie zorgde. Je kan ook niet rechtop zitten in bed.
Great location and super friendly staff! the hostel is in a nice old building and there is a large common area. if you are looking for a social hostel i don't think this is the best place, we were here in the middle of summer but still there were mostly older men in our room. also the air conditioner was broken and a man kept closing the window all the time which was irritating. i also can't sit up straight in bed.
So far, the best Hostel 20 in which I've been in France. No complaints at all, just the prices, but I think it's just France in general. I strongly recommend this hostel!
Chambre correcte avec casiers vérustes. Pas de couverture juste un drap couchage et pas de taie d oreiller. On se croirait dans une prison oû l on donne que le strict minimum en matière de literie. Salles de bains et toilettes complètement vétustes alors que les chambres sont à 30 euros la nuit... Trois douches, trois toilettes et 4 lavabos pour une auberge d'une quarantaine de chambres... Le personnel sympathique dans l’ensemble sauf le receptionniste de nuit qui ne parle pas françai...
Proper room with vertically locked lockers. No blanket just a bed sheet and no pillow belt. You'd think you were in a prison where they give only the strict minimum in terms of bedding. Completely run down bathrooms and toilets while rooms are 30 euros a night... Three showers, three toilets and 4 sinks for a 40-room hostel... The friendly staff in the whole except for the night receptionist who doesn't speak French.
A great place to stay in Bordeaux! Staff were friendly and the location was really nice, surrounded by bars and restaurants. The dorm we were in was spacious and linens provided were clean. Bathrooms were cleaned regularly. Unfortunately the wifi didn’t reach up to the bedroom, but worked downstairs. It also would’ve been great to have a fly screen over the window to stop mosquitos and bugs. Kitchen is good for very basic food prep.

Les + : - Super emplacement - Les gens à l'accueil (surtout Hugo) étaient très gentils et disponibles - Rangement sécurisé dans les chambres - Rideau dans les lits - Climatisation Les - : - Salles de bain rares, peu pratiques, inesthétiques et parfois sales - La prise électrique dans mon lit ne fonctionnait pas toujours - L'internet ne se rendait pas à ma chambre - Il y a eu un rat dans une autre chambre pendant mon séjour Séjour correct, très abordable.

Bien, Hostel 20... Dans la ville de Bordeaux, accessible en bus et tram depuis la gare, c'est très bien. Assez calme, donc parfait pour se reposer. Les douches et toilettes sont à revoir, changer ou réparer. Sérieusement, ça commence à dater et il y a des choses qui sont cassées.. Mais le petit déjeuner, là, non. Je ne le recommande pas du tout. Beaucoup trop "expensive" pour ce qui est proposé. Je recommande d'y séjourner en prenant le petit-déj en ville ou de vous le faire...
Bien, Hostel 20... In the city of Bordeaux, accessible by bus and tram from the station, it's very good. Quite quiet, so perfect for resting. The showers and toilets are to be reviewed, changed or repaired. Seriously, it's starting to date and there are things that are broken.. But breakfast, there, no. I don't recommend it at all. Much too "expensive" for what's on offer. I recommend staying there by having breakfast in town or making it yourself.
Overall, very good experience! The hostel is located on a quiet street but it is easy to get to the main attractions by foot or tram. Staff were nice and friendly. The shared room was clean and comfortable. Just a minor issue is the small lavabo. Otherwise, I was very satisfied with my 3 nights here. Highly recommend!
