- The bathroom was extremely small my partner and i were so upset as we could barely move in the same space Bathroom cap with small hand soap could do with a little upgrade with toiletries for the amount paid per night We have visited many places for less around the peninsula and it was always ab 10/10 i am very disappointed in this hotel i felt like i couldn't breath should try and upgrade the rooms couples couldn't spend time in such a small space and do what? Maybe there ade bigger rooms but then specify the room we booked was most definitely for 1 guest When i wash my face and teeth the entire bathroom floor floods because thats how tiny fhe bason was No bar fridge in the rooms its in a kitchen close to the rooms abit inconvenient i should say to run back and forth for things in the kitchen There was a hell of a noise aswell people cooming eating basically outside your room during midnight was not very get away to me However i would never book there again

- The property is behind taxi rank how would one be excepted to relax my parents left minutes after the arrival due to the terrible taxi noise perhaps you should state cloth to taxi rank in your location!

+ Someone stayed late for us to check in at the desk.

- Unfortunately we checked in on a Friday night and so the location was very loud from the high street. We were also woken up by the taxi beeps as it’s just by taxi rank.

- Must go out of your room to make coffee . Community kitchen. Don't like not for the price .

- The photos seem outdated vs the reality of the property. Ceiling fan is loud and from the 1980s

+ We booked the apartment, a large 2 bedroom unit, a renovated bathroom (good shower pressure), comfy beds, and a basic kitchen. Secure parking. Great front of house lady Richelle. Close to Kalk Bay, great restaurants and eateries.

- Opposite the train/taxi station, it is very noisy, especially between 5 - 9 am. We were not informed about construction. Guys, (not in uniform) just walked across the balcony and gave us a bit of a fright! (Richelle, did apologize for not letting us know) The apartment had little 🪳 roaches in the kitchen and bathroom, and they did provide a can of Doom, but still not ok.

+ The room was clean and neat, and the property was easy to find.

- The hotel rooms are very strangely designed, in a way that there are two rooms that share a communal kitchen and lounge, which become weird when it came to locking your room door. I would recommend a 2nd type of locking system, on the internal of the doors. Another thing that was strange, is music started to be played at 7:30am on a Sunday morning. I am not sure if it was another guest at the hotel, or the hotel itself. I also found it strange that we were on the 1st floor and the security and hotel manager on the ground floor couldn't hear the music.. (was it a way to get people to check out early on a Sunday - curious to know if another guest experienced this ?)

+ Stayed at Main 55 in Fish Hoek and honestly, this place was a hidden gem. From the outside, it looks quite normal and unassuming—but once you step inside, it’s a completely different story. The rooms are spacious, very clean, and the bed was super comfortable. I fell asleep at 6pm! They even provided ear buds to block out any noise! it's definitely on the luxurious side. (as i've said, outside looks normal, but inside, it's woah!) they have kitchens too! near to food places and stuff, pick and pay. woolsworth. the whole 9 yards. oh yes, kfc is beside, if you want. I stayed in Room 5B, which I highly recommend. The view is amazing—you get a beautiful sunset and can also see what’s happening downstairs, which gives the place a nice, lively feel. and you get 2 views, one of the train station, the other of the main street. you get to see people coming back home and heading off to work. The car park is also a big plus—safe, convenient, and hassle-free. your car won't get stolen, 100% with the safety of it being inside their compound. A special shoutout to Chantel, the manager. She was incredibly helpful from the start, gave very clear instructions, and made the whole stay smooth and stress-free. You can really tell she cares—she’s enthusiastic, motivated, and constantly thinking of ways to improve the hotel. She truly goes above and beyond and honestly deserves a raise. Overall, a 5-star experience. Would definitely stay here again. did i mention they have netflix?!?! but i have no time for that since i slept at 6pm.
