Blanco Beach Bar

I would not recommend this place. There are no curtains on the beds, and the overall condition feels quite worn. The beds were sandy even with a fresh set of sheets, which was disappointing. I also joined the boat party, and I would not recommend that either. The staff seemed tired of the job and were not friendly. Compared to a boat party in Koh Tao, this felt like a waste of money and more like a boat tour than an actual party.

It was such a dirty hostel. The bathrooms were really filthy and the beds don’t have curtains. The ac in the rooms were so cold that people were sleeping in sweaters. Also there is music blasting until 3:00 am which you can hear really loud in all the dorms. I really wouldn’t recommend it, the boat party was nice and the staff is also helpful.

I’d never stay here again. Location wise not too bad, a little far away but central-ish for the bars and such. Everything else was terrible however, checked out after one night because it simply wasn’t safe. Got threatened and almost attacked by a drunk guest - instead of hotel security or staff stopping him, another guest had to step in to make sure he didn’t punch us. Bathroom/shower wasn’t clean at all and there was sand EVERYWHERE. Beds were very hard and rooms had barely any light. ...

We checked out of the hostel immediately the day after we arrived. The dorm room was not living up to our expectations. No curtains by the beds, aircon directly above our beds, extremely dark room and apparently no noise politics. We respect that it is a party hostel and therefore music will be blasting till 2, but other guests in our dorm was still being noisy. People were having intercourse in the dorm, which we know the hostel is not responsible for. One staff member was nice: Dark hair, tats

Insanely loud music, dirty rooms, no curtains and they put me as a female in a room with 5 guys. I felt very uncomfortable during my stay. Would not recommend this hostel.

We stayed at Blanco knowing that it would be a partyhostel, and we normally wouldn’t mind. But it was just: awful music playing loudly from morning till night, drunk staff and just awfull facilities. The only nice thing was that it was at the beach and that’s it. We stayed there for only a few nights but all ended up sick. So sad I stayed here because this influenced my trip in Thailand. :(

No curtains on beds, dirty facilities that absolutely stink, staff will barge in turn lights on and be incredibly loud, pretty mediocre atmosphere - probably because of how overpriced things like the 'pub crawl' are (3 bars with a couple of weak shots), non functional facilities, the list goes on. I'm not sure how they have a rating above 5, the staff were lovely when spoken to so maybe down to that, however one was pretty creepy to my friend.

DO NOT STAY HERE Blanco beach bar… I’m not even a hater of party hostels but this was not good for anyone. The music was played to such an absurdly loud volume that it almost felt like a ridiculous marketing tactic to get you to share it with the internet or else the people who run this have been living under a rock since 2014 and forgot that we have all collectively moved beyond deep house EDM David Guetta-esque remixes. It’s over guys. It’s over.

Id definitely recommend if you want to party and be social in cheap accomm, it’s literally on the beach which is nice, but bcs of this the bed sheets are very sandy and the music plays very very loudly till 2 AM but it’s a party hostel so you’d expect that, IMPORTANT- (google maps will make you walk through a rubbish heap so turn left and go down the beach when you get to the massive post covered in signs to avoid this)

I felt very uncomfortable here. The music was extremely loud until 2 a.m., and the people in the hostel were very disrespectful and kept shouting all night without caring about other guests. The hostel was very dirty, especially the bathrooms. I would not recommend anyone to stay there.

Amazing if you are looking to party and meet new people, place was constantly being cleaned and definitely up to a high standard.

I like the hostel. But, the images presented for this hostel is not accurate. The pool isn’t part of the hostel and it costs money to use it. While I do like that the hostel is next to some popular bars….its kind of annoying having to step through water (the ocean) every single time you return or leave. The entrance is literally on the shore. Which can be seen as cool, but gets rather annoying after a while. Showers suck: lack of space to hang stuff, the water smells awful and pressure sucks...

Great hostel

To my solo - travelling girlies, please do NOT go to this Hostel. I was put in a room with 5 other boys and one of them literally had Sex on the Bunk above me. No one cared. I felt so unsafe. The bed have no curtains so you have absolutely no privacy. Bathroom is extremly dirty and the beds are hard as a rock. Please do not stay there!! Had the absolut worst 3 nights of my trip there.

The music was SO loud every night until 2am, I know it says lively music online but this was actually crazy. It was shaking the whole room I could even have a conversation in the room without having to shout because the music was so loud, genuinely impossible to sleep before 2 even with earplugs. I get it’s a party hostel but kinda nuts. Also there was only 2 showers for the whole floor and one of them was broken the whole time I was there. Also no curtains is kinda crazy

Had a great stay here. The staff here were so lovely especially Jack at reception. The location was so good and next to all the popular bars

Very good hostel! The staff is very friendly and help you out when needed. They have furthermore enough activities planned you can do.

It’s a great hostel at the beach for party. And they do a boat Party everyday were you see Monkey Bay and the legendary Maya Bay. I really enjoyed my stay here

Fun bar in the hostel. Lots of free shots, even when you just woke up. Beds are kinda hard and basic and the bathrooms are only kinda clean. Our ac was broken and it was so cold it felt like Antarctica but i dont think other rooms had this problem. Is very fun tho
