+ The property itself was ok. Basic, quiet and well-located. That said, there are three or four other comparable or better options within steps of this place. A very negative experience with the staff ruined my stay. They billed my card for two rooms and refused to rectify the billing error. The lack of professionalism in addressing the situation was shocking. They basically told me tough luck and were unwilling to address their error. I would highly recommend avoiding this property. I have never been treated so badly in my life. I contacted Booking.com who say they will contact the property to rectify the billing situation, but they also recommended disputing the charge with my bank. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere. The management here is lacking in integrity. Save yourself the potential headache.

+ good location. I had hopes I'd enjoy my stay here, along the lines of "budget properties can be recommendable too," but I was disappointed.
- A long hair not my color on the pillow. No heat when temperatures don't exceed 65 degrees Fahrenheit. I came close to asking receptionist Rose if there was any way she could possibly be any unfriendlier, but held my tongue about it. She promised a portable heater in the room, but I never got it. She was a pistol.

- Bei weitem das dreckigste und schlechteste Hotel, in dem wir während unserer 4 Wochen Reise waren. Es waren Haare im Bett, die Bäder wurden den ganzen Tag wo wir da waren nicht einmal geputzt (auch am nächsten Tag nicht). Die Küche sah aus wie ein Schlachtfeld! Das Personal war auch noch sehr unfreundlich und schnipisch. Wir sind einen Tag früher abgereist weil wir es so schlimm fanden! Einfach nur dreckig und eklig!

- The building really isn’t fit for purpose, the floors creak loudly even when moving about quietly. The people in the room above stomped around their room until 1.30am. Not having staff on sight allowed other guests to make a racket without consequence.

+ Location is excellent and convenient. Super big kitchen and living area. Free cookies and tasty vegetable soup. The room is tight, but every inch is well used.
- Wifi in our room was weak. Kitchen and reception areas were much better.

+ It was a great welcome, lovely room, beautifully clean shower room next door to my room. A well stocked kitchen with everything easily accessible. Free soup on arrival and a massive cookie in. My room. Tea/coffee facilities in the room. I was very impressed with the place. Would defo stay again 👍😊

+ A well run, very friendly hotel/hostel, with some lovely touches (kitchen area and delicious free soup!) A great option for a stay in Franz Josef. The walk to the glacier from the hotel takes about an hour and is highly recommended on a sunny day.
+ Che dire, location bella, attazzata al Franz Glazier, chiaramente al di fuori non troverete molto da fare. Staff gentilissimo, ci hanno offerto un muffin appena arrivati, stanza accogliente, curata e pulita. Cucina incredibile e sala comune anche, possibilitá anche di prenotare gratuitamente la Jacuzi, davvero fantastico
+ The facilities were really good. Having a computer to use was very helpful for us. The muffin on arrival and the hot tub after dinner were excellent.
