Sweed Dee

I legit woke up with a minimum of 12 mosquito bites per night!! This place is a breeding ground for them. The last hostel I stayed in was also on a mosquito-ridden island but somehow they weren’t in the dorms. I killed 8-10 mosquitoes per day and those were just the ones that were near/in my bed. No matter what I did - sprayed my bed & body w repellent - DID NOT HELP! The mgr was polite & v kind & cleaned daily but I still saw 2 large roaches. If ur ok getting devoured by mosquitoes stay...

Staff is extraordinary friendly and you can snack there all day, which is super helpful cause the Island is so expensive. Other than that: I wouldn’t recommend in general, that goes for the whole island. This is like the most stereotypical Hostel you can think of.

They definitely need to replace the metal tube frame bunk beds in this place. They are extremely squeaky and sway when moving, they should have proper wood framed bunk beds that are mounted to the wall like other hostels. Other than the beds it’s decent and yes the staff is nice but the beds are one of the most important features and they’re garbage so I wouldn’t come back or recommend until they replace them

The staff an location are nice. Just 10 minutes walk from the harbour. The matresses are fine and it’s good they have curtains, but the beds just make to much noise. Every time I turned around I had the feeling I would wake the whole dorm. Also the showers aren’t working properly. Think it’s just to much money for the condition of the facilities.

Hostel was a nice stay with a really good location, however one particular meme er of the staff would clean rooms at 12 on the dot and she would be a bit rude and move your bags wether there open or closed and would make your bed but we were u sure wether our sheets were washed before we got there as we saw the staff member only spraying a spray on the duvet and making it up again for a new person but overall a really nice hostel rooms, has curtains which is a plus!

The staff are lovely but the rooms are smelly and there isn’t much of a social atmosphere. Good location and nice breakfast

The place was alright. Quite small only two rooms. There was a small outdoor social area with two tables. It’s probably about a 5/10min walk from the main hub of Phi Phi. Unfortunately we had a bit of poor experience with the staff there who had confused our payment and believed we hadn’t paid. We eventually cleared it up but it took like half an hour and we didn’t feel like returning.

I stayed for one night which was enough. The staff on check in were so friendly and having free snacks and water was a bonus. The room itself was okay, the beds were comfy enough, although the duvet was of the type where it maybe doesn’t get washed between people? The en-suite was clean, however during the evening it seemed to be used for people not staying at the hostel, so there were people walking through. I felt unsafe in the room but this was due to other people staying in the dorm.

Great location and chill atmosphere however the staff are v rude & lied about a fault within the room to move me and others into a diff room but really was so they could sell the room out to a group. Tried to tell us we had to check out and in even tho we booked the whole trip for those days. I was unwell and they tried to kick me out my bed for them to resell the room when I should have been able to chill in bed had they not sold it. Eventuality they gave me a bed as could see I was in pain

Was expecting more party, but if you wanted a more chill vibe would be very suited.

Had the BEST time staying at SweeDee! The staff were so so accommodating and lovely, always looking to help out wherever they could. Hostel itself was super clean. Staff were constantly making sure the bathrooms and the bedroom were all mopped and cleaned which was great. Free breakfast with homemade pancakes in the morning was extra special as well and really appreciated! Is located on a quieter street on Phi Phi if that’s what you’re looking for but only a 10 minute walk from the pier :)

Ich fand es richtig gut!!! Das Personal war sooo so nett und es gab sogar gratis Frühstück. Voll die Empfehlung

It’s a small rather quiet hostel. The personal is soo friendly.

Friendliest staff ever. They constantly clean the place and offer free food as well, I felt very at home.

Staff were amazing, they came in and cleaned and made our beds everyday were super lovley :) would recommend

Super super cute hostel with the friendliest staff!! They’ll help you with anything you need and are super accommodating. They even provide drinks/snacks throughout the day. However didn’t find it to be very social.

Excelente estadía. El equipo es súper cálido y siempre dispuesto a ayudar. La ubicación es ideal y el lugar muy limpio, superó mis expectativas. Te hacen sentir como en casa. ¡Muy recomendable!

Cool hostel, comfortable beds, fresh fruit the coconuts were so sweet! I will stay here again in the near future.

The other reviews for this hostel are all very positive about the host, so much so that it feels like one of those hostels where if you say positive things about the host then you get a discount on your stay or a free beer. But they are actually right, all of the staff were extremely lovely and were the best hosts we have had in months travelling. Also very clean, they tidy everyday and make the beds. Would recommend.

Loved the staff and was at a quiet location. Isn't really a social hostel and doesn't have amy extra amenties. So if you are looking for a solid base to sleep it is good!

Ein sehr nettes kleines Hostel. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und es wurde regelmäßig geputzt. Eine gute Empfehlung, wenn man es etwas ruhiger mag.

The staff were absolutely fab, so kind and helpful!! Beds were really comfy and had curtains that actually fitted the beds!! Lots of free tea, coffee etc which was nice. Bathrooms were clean! We had a fab stay here!!

Such a lovely hostel in a great location (close to loads of restaurants and bars but in a more peaceful location) and only 10/15 min walk to the pier. The rooms were so clean with really comfy beds. But the highlight was the staff, they are so kind and friendly and always make sure you are happy! This place had such an amazing homely feel. Would highly recommend!

the nicest staff ever! would recommend as somewhere to get a good nights sleep whilst being close to the action. not very social, with a very small patio area, but this wasn’t a problem for me :)

It's a very comfy and super clean hostel, the staff is sooo kind I loved it. It's 5min walk to the city center it's perfect if you want to sleep a bit by night. This hostel is not social tho.

Staff were so lovely and welcoming!

Good hostel for a few nights. The highlight was the amazing staff. They were so kind! There was also a small breakfast (toast, pancakes, bananas) and coffee and tea. That was a nice surprise! The rooms were nice and cool but the beds were super squeaky, so you could hear people a lot. There is no common space inside but a small one outside.
