The hostel has a nice location, the breakfast is quite good. On the other side, the cheapest option for $12 is to sleep on a mattress on the floor in a pity chalet outside. The are rats and coakroaches, bedbugs inside the bed. At night its a hell to sleep sometimes with the nearby dogs and cocks starting to make noise just next to the chalet at 4am. The rooms inside were better, but this chalet outside is an absolute disgrace that is not worth the $12.
Ho dormito nel dormitorio. Esperienza pessima.
Unsafe place. I was stolen my first day in one of the bungalows due to the owner considered the door had to be unlocked. I asked her wife if they had a safety box was answered the hostel was very safe then I trusted her words. Someone stole my camera, money and the most important thing my passport. For more than 3 weeks I struggled to get out the country through the Portuguese embassy the only way I had to get out as an European citizen. The Portuguese owner didn't take any responsibility, he bl...
Amazing shower facilities and amazing stuff, but the place itself is a mess. Pro: good breakfast, great staff, no WiFi!! Con: mosquitos and mosquitos, one rat, and owner a bit stiff in accomodating mistakes (paid for a double booking). Cherry: backpackers are awesome.
Nice hostel, and amazing staff , they provide breakfast, lunch as well, nice place to relax and unwind , 5 mins walk connects to the main road and I liked their microlets system it's very affordable and convenient
We asked to book a taxi for the next morning to go to the airport. She said she would be busy and didn't tell us anything afterwards. The next day we get up but no taxi. We go knock on her door to wake her up, that's when half asleep she tells us that the taxi hasn't answered. We find ourselves at 6:15 a.m. without transportation to catch the plane. She goes back to bed without trying to help us.
This one of two DaTerra Hostels in Dili is a good option if you want to be close to the airport, the place where the buses to Westtimor start, or close to the sea. It is fairly clean and staff is nice. However, I stayed in the bungalow dormitory which is a good budget option for one night but I wouldn't recommend staying there for too long. It's close to nature - mosquitoes and mice, and none of the nets is completely without holes, but fixable. Also, the garden area wasn't very nice in dry seas...
Room itself was nice but a terrible location really. Nestled in the back streets of nowhere. We weren't entirely convinced we were in the right place when we pulled up in the taxi. No WiFi is a big downside. Positives though, the staff were lovely and AC was great

Beautiful little hostel near the sea, lovely green space and facilities. Merly and Esme made it a great stay, always keen to help and called their network of friends to help me get around the island. 10/10

I had a pleasant stay at Da Terra Bebonuk. The staffs were so friendly. The hostel was very clean and has a good vibe and ambiance. The breakfast served was amazing. The location is conveniently nearby Timor Plaza. However the area can give you some sketchy feeling at night, but everything was fine. I could only imagine if it is full with tourists. It was only me and another Chinese tourist when I was there. The US-Israeli invasion in Iran made it hard for travellers who would like to go from Eu...
I’ve been here twice now, and honestly there have been a lot of improvements compared to my first visit. The place feels more organized, more comfortable, and overall has a much nicer vibe. The service has also gotten better 😊 One of the best upgrades is that they now have Starlink, so the internet is much faster and more stable—which is really helpful, especially if you need to work or stay connected. Really happy to see how much this place has improved. I’ll definitely come back again
Stayed here for several days. Timor Leste is a difficult country to get to so the hostel is a bit quiet sometimes but the facilities are nice and staff are super helpful so if you are coming to Dili, I would highly recommend
A very nice hostel with a beautiful garden. all the kind and hospitable staff. the breakfast was very good. i would definitely recommend this hostel.
The accommodation is a bit out of the center, but in a very quiet and beautiful area. the sea is not far away even if no one goes swimming, everyone goes to the beach at christo rei. you have breakfast included and can choose between different options, the essen was very delicious. the rooms have all a mosquito net was very important, but it is not a social hostel rather quiet and almost no people. the staff is very nice but very helpful
Really nice hostel in Dili, with great staff and meals. The rooms are comfortable and clean, the bathrooms, despite shared, are super nice. Totally recommend. Once you understand the Microlets' routes, moving around becomes much easier.
Good option for those who like something more humble and cheap. The staff is really helpfull and kind. The bungalow rooms are not suitable during raining season, as it rains inside, but the main house's ones are huge and comfortable.
Thank you Rosa, Nacia, and Eza for a great visit- they made me feel so at home.
We really enjoyed our stay here! The hostel is a very cozy place with a nice common area and the staff Rosa, Nelsia and Eza were very welcoming and kind. It‘s also possible to rent motorbikes from the hostel.
Great place to explore Dili. Quiet neighborhood, lovely and friendly staff. Tasty food. Definitely recommend!
Wow! What a wonderful hostel! The staff were truly amazing and the other guests there were super friendly. I really enjoyed the location which is easily accessible by the mikrolet. Once arriving, there was plenty of information on how to get around and sights to see. I also had some of the best hostel food ever here. Everything is super fresh. Overall DaTerra was a comfy place with a great atmosphere!
A beautiful hostel in Bebonuk - Eza, Rosa, Nelcia and Mingas are the best!!! Lovely food and a lovely place to chill out! Great for long and short stays
This is was a beautiful place to stay right near the beach in Bebonuk, Dili. Eza, Nelcia, Rosa, and Mingas made my stay so nice :) a great place to relax and delicious food!
Cosy hostel with a great garden and atmosphere in a friendly neighbourhood. I was there during the off season and there were still lots of travellers to meet. I appreciated the close proximity to the airport and city. Awesome, happy, helpful staff who prepared good healthy food, Highly recommend this hostel.
Amazing service by the girls! Recommending to all my friends.
Lovely hostel at a cheap price for a dorm in Dili (fan but also options with AC) and delicious farm to table food. The moringa butter is to die for! This hostel seems to see a lot of travellers coming and going, which is easier to meet people and share tips about Timor-Leste. Please note that network coverage is very limited, with no signal in the house and weak signal outside (there seems to be one "better" spot near the scooter parking). After having stayed at both Da Terras in Dili, I can sa...
