Honestly, I don’t know why this hostel has such high reviews. I’m guessing it’s for the social scene, because the room I stayed in wasn’t good value for money. The beds and pillows were very uncomfortable, the blanket was too small, and the room was tiny, dingy, unclean, full of mosquitoes, and had little space for belongings. The WiFi didn’t reach the rooms. The bathrooms were clean and the location was good, but after one night I decided to leave as comfort still matters to me.

I booked this hostel for two days. I left for a private accommodation after only a few hours because I received news that a loved one had passed away in an accident, and I needed to be alone to process this. I did not receive any refund. They are, of course, not obliged to provide one, but given the circumstances it did not feel very accommodating. Aside from this, the hostel is probably decent.

I didn’t quite feel it for this hostel. I won’t go into details why, i don’t think it’s important, it was just my gut feeling. So I respectfully returned my keys, told them to keep my money (I don’t care about that) and decided to treat myself to a hotel instead. Staff was racist with me and the place is bad, only good thing is location

Guys forget that they sent me after 5 pm checkin rules on hostel world then sent me an email to urge me to fill a self checkin form -thw website didnt work- in 40 mins. Didnt reply my mails and whatsapp because guess what they reply mails in bulk. I have been traveling for the last 2 months and this is the most absurd thing i have ever seen. I cancelled my booking because the busy guys couldn’t confirm my checkin within 20 hours before my flight takes off. LOL😂

Check in times are bad, info how to self check in wasn’t given, nor do the key cards work consistently. Black mould found behind air con machines after they’d broken mid evening, no one to sort them tho due to front desk being closed so our dorm was a sauna the whole night. Guy in charge pretty straight up rude to guests and volunteers. Social events were average but I met some fab people whilst there (only positive). Loud, very cold rooms without windows. Beds without curtains. The provided blanket was so small that it could not cover me completely and I was cold all night. Insufficient and not very functional bathrooms. There is a no shoes policy, however the toilets consistently had wet and dirty floors. Checked out 2 nights early.

The way owner talks to you is terrible. If you are booking this property kindly think twice because it will degrade your experience throught the trip.

My stay was stunning! The rooms were clean, cool and big enough! The whole place is well maintained, I love their cat, the location is easy to reach. But on top of all, the hostel owner makes sure everything is going smoothly! He keeps an eye out for everyone, even with the activities, so you can enjoy your time! Also, Ikhwan is one of the greatest hosts. Friendly, personal, alert, very smart. He knows the names of every guest. Everyone else working in the hostel is just as sweet as all of them!

Great hostel! Wan is an amazing host, very clean and nice vibe. Air conditioned where it’s needed and good activities. I’d highly recommend and love to come back!!

The stay is in a great location. Fairly well managed. I liked the rooftop and the general vibe of the hostel. Would recommend for other travellers.

Amazing hostel, staff are super friendly and helpful, there’s always something going on, beds are comfy, and the location is great. Only downside is the lockers need some WD40 because they are squeaky :) Would definitely stay again

Really good stay, super central to the town and most things are walking distance. Excellent aircon. Awesome staff, super friendly and relaxed, with one of the best pubs crawls I’ve had at a hostel in SEA, highly recommend. Shoutout to my boy Juan

Ottima e caldissima accoglienza, tanta cura per gli ospiti, ti fanno sentire parte della famiglia, inoltre disponibili a soddisfare ogni esigenza con tempestività. Comodissimo il servizio lavatrice , velocissimo ed efficiente. Fantastici anche gli eventi organizzati dall'ostello. Locato nel centro di Bukit bintang,parte viva della città e molto ben connesso, struttura ordinata e pulita. Ci tornerei volentieri

Staff excelente, súper cálido y siempre dispuesto a ayudar. El ambiente del hostel es muy social, con gente divina y fácil de conectar. Tiene muy buenos espacios comunes que invitan a compartir, y las habitaciones cumplen perfecto: cómodas, ordenadas y limpias.La ubicación es bárbara, cerca de todo, podés moverte caminando sin problema.En resumen, es de esos lugares donde te sentís como en casa: lo único que tenés que traer es tu mate y algo para el asado, y ya estás.

I had an excellent stay here. Facilities are clean and tidy. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Bed’s, however, don’t have any privacy curtains. I would definitely still stay here again, though.

Great hostel and good value for a really good location in KL! Marsha and the others were super friendly and helpful. They also have frequent social things which is lovely. The only thing I’d say is having curtains would’ve been better!

Super gezellig hostel met prima bedden (geen gordijnen, maar is prima opgelost met je handdoek), schone douches, een kat, en leuke activiteiten.

The staff make this place and will go out of their way to get to know you and help you. The free pub crawl is awesome especially if you're a girl as you get free drinks but if you're a fella it's a bit of a stitch up. The vibe was alright. Just couldn't see what the hype was all about.

I had a really good stay at Sunshine Bedz, mainly because of the amazing staff and social vibe. It was easy to meet people and the pub quiz and pub crawls were super fun and well organized. The building itself isn’t perfect, beds aren’t very comfortable, no curtains and WiFi is weak. Bathrooms are basic but clean, though the carpet isn’t great and we had a cockroach in our room. Overall great atmosphere but facilities could be improved.

Female solo backpacker here. Stayed in a mixed dorm. Overall my stay was very fine, but not my kind of hostel I think.The common areas is not very comfy, a big table, in the passage. Breakfast was not good at all, doubtful jam and chocolate spread, don't count on it. The staff was super sweet, but peer pressuring to drink during the pub crawl, which was really not my cup of tea: super loud bars making it impossible to socialize, disguting (free) drinks for girls.
