Limestone View Homestay

+ Amazing hosts, welcoming, extremely friendly and helpful, you could not expect nicer people. The rooms are very clean, and breakfast is good and served either a lively smile.

- The property is situated on a busy intersection, which is very noisy at rush hour, especially at 6 in the morning, so don’t expect a quiet late morning. The photos of the property on book g are a little misleading so don’t be surprised when you arrive

- Pictures does not give the feeling of the place. Atmosphere in the hotel was not nice. Hotel is far away from everything and you need bikes for everything.

+ Der Enthusiasmus des Personals, dem Gast alle Wünsche von den Augen abzulesen, war wirklich herausragend. Unser Gastgeber und seine Frau waren sehr bemüht und überaus freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Lage und der Ausblick, besonders von Zimmer 303 sind einfach wunderschön und wir konnten die Gegend mit kostenlos zur Verfügung gestellten Fahrrädern, die vor Abfahrt nochmal aufgepumpt wurden, erkunden. Die Zimmer waren sauber und ordentlich und das Frühstück, welches im Preis mit inbegriffen war, inklusive frischem Obst, Omelette und sehr leckeren Pfannkuchen mit Bananen und Honig war sehr lecker und wurde jederzeit frisch zubereitet. Bei unserer Ankunft erhielten wir eine Führung durchs Haus und umfangreiche Informationen über die Gegend und mögliche Touren.

- Zimmer 102 hat, anders als auf Booking angegeben, keinen Balkon, dafür ein pamoramafenster auf einen See bzw. Weiher, die Strasse wird von einem Baum verdeckt. Nach einem Hinweis bekamen wir ein kostenloses Upgrade in das Familenzimmer 303 mit Balkon und einer W0ahnsinnsaussicht. Der Wasserdruck in der Dusche könnte stärker sein. Beim ausufernden Enthusiasmus des Gastgebers wäre weniger manchmal mehr (sympathie hin oder her). Im Preis-Leistungsverhältnis für das Homestay kommt merklich die touristischen Hochlage Trang An durch. Gleichwohl der Ort weniger touristisch als eher local geprägt ist. Die Fahrräder mit korb vorne waren leider - auch wenn kostenlos - mitunter wartungsbedürftig (8er im Reifen und verbogener Lenker).

+ The hosts here were very kind, and always willing to help with directions or activities. Hot water was excellent and the room was spacious, breakfast was delicious.

- The location of this spot was not for me- extremely loud 4-6am one morning with a loudspeaker blaring, and neighbors blasting music in the afternoon. It was right on a busy street (which I didn’t realize when booking) and I could hear constant noise, didn’t sleep well. There also weren’t many restaurants within walking distance at nighttime.

+ The owner and his wife were delightful. Free bikes to borrow.

- The surrounding town wasn’t up to much, the rooms were very basic and the pool area very uninviting.

+ La vue La gentillesse de l’hôte, il nous a préparé le petit déjeuner très copieux car on avais un bus très tôt le matin. Très disponible.

- Comme souvent avec Booking je m’attendais à un standing un peu plus élevé compte tenu des photos. Il s’agit d’une maison chez l’habitant au Vietnam donc il faut s’attendre à ça. La note élevée donne’ à la gentillesse de l’hôte et à la vue font beaucoup grimper la note mais , à mon avis la note idéale est pas plus de 7. Je m’attendais aussi à un endroit tranquille, un peu à l’écart mais on a eu des bruits même pendant la nuit.

+ Super hosts, die sehr fürsorglich und behilflich bei allem sind. Leckeres Frühstück mit pancakes. Unkomplizierter early check in. Danke dafür!!! :) Großes Zimmer.

- Zimmer groß, aber etwas lieblos eingerichtet. Einige Zimmer noch unfertig, was sichtbar ist und etwas mit dem Gesamteindruck macht. Eine Armatur kam uns beim Berühren schon entgegen. Lärm durch die Lautsprecher auf der Straße direkt unter dem Zimmer ist 5.30 Uhr laut und lange zu hören. Die Dachterrasse bekamen wir nicht zu sehen, sodass es etwas privat für uns wirkte.

+ The location was great! Not too busy with a beautiful view and a very nice room. We loved the friendliness of our hosts, Dzung and his wife. They were always there for us and helped us with everything. The view was amazing and the homemade breakfast was a nice start of our day.

+ Amazing location and the perfect base for us to explore the area. I can’t recommend the location enough there is great views from every room. The host and his wife are incredibly kind and helped us plan and coordinate everything we wanted to do in the area. Gave great recommendations for where to eat as well. Trust them!

+ We enjoyed this part of our trip so much. While we were very comfortable and well taken care of while we were there, we really enjoyed having conversations and getting to know Dzung and his family. His pride for his home, the area surrounding, and his country is evident and appreciated.

+ The host, Dzung, is very warm and friendly—he enjoys chatting with guests and is always happy to help with any requests. The room is spacious with a beautiful mountain view, and the breakfast is carefully prepared by him and his wife. The rooftop offers a stunning view. The property is also conveniently located just a short distance from the Trung An boat dock.

+ Dzung and his family were the most wonderful hosts!They made us feel so welcome and comfortable. Breakfast each day was great and very filling! The room was very spacious and comfortable with everything we needed. Dzung was so helpful with information about local places and plans, and organised anything we asked him to assist with, so quickly and easily. Location is perfect if you are interested in doing the river boat tours in either Trang An or Tam Coc. Our entire stay was perfect and we highly recommend a stay at Limestone View Homestay.

+ Ninh Binh is a fantastic area to stay and our host Dzung made our time at Limestone View very memorable. He made us feel very welcome after a long journey down from north Vietnam and then through Hanoi. We enjoyed 3 very different breakfasts served by Dzung and his wife - pancakes, scrambled eggs & a Full Vietnamese. We were keen to explore the area by bicycle and Dzung was happy to lend us a couple of bikes for our time there. He also provided us with his homemade map of the area and gave us advice about places to visit and the best times to go. He also arranged a taxi to the airport when we had to return to the UK. He is a very entertaining host and we were really glad we met him. We can't wait to come back to Ninh Binh and spend a bit more time there. Peter & Sam

+ Mr Dzung and his wife are the perfect hosts. The rooms are nice and clean and the view is spectacular. For breakfast we were served the best pancakes in Vietnam. Highly recommend!

+ I actually don't know where to begin. I stayed at the Limestone View Homestay with my girlfriend and we loved every single day there. The host, Dzung, and his family were extremely friendly and made us feel at home right from the beginning. Every day, Dzung's wife would prepare a tasty and nutritious breakfast with a good selection of fresh fruits, tea/coffee, and proteins. Our room was clean and spacious, and the bed was extremely comfortable. We even had a lovely balcony with a beautiful view over the mountains. We asked for a laundry service and we got our clothes, clean and folded, very quickly. Several bikes are available, all quite sturdy and well maintained. The homestay is well located in the heart of a lovely village. Everything regarding the accommodation was perfect, but what made the experience truly unforgettable was our host and his family, who helped us with lots of information, advices and anecdotes about the surroundings and the beautiful Vietnamese culture. Finally, there are several food options a few minutes walk/bike from the homestay, and it's very easy to catch a taxi and reach every major attractions in the area. Dzung actually helped us organize some of them, which was very nice. Another important note: the area around the accommodation was very quite at night, with very few cars and motorbikes driving by. In the room there is air conditioning. In summary, thank you Dzung & family for everything, we hope to come back soon in the near future!

- Sometimes in the evening somebody was singing karaoke and the music was a bit loud, but thankfully it would stop late at night and sleeping wasn't an issue.
