+ The staff is the only saving grace of this place. The property has a bad mold problem which they were aware of. Unfortunately I couldn't stay because it affected my health. A female staff member (I think her name is Shelly) gave a great recommendation of the hostel up the street called Unplan which was 10xs better. The MOD Coco and the rest were nice and accommodating.
- Lack of security of the luggage room, lack of cleanliness from the elevators to room floors, having to make your own bed. I could go on but what stood out the most was the mold throughout the building (see pictures)!which the staff was aware of. When I pointed out the mold on the AC unit in the first room I was assigned to, I was told they were supposed to have it cleaned a few weeks ago but they got busy. Clearly they didn't think about the health of future guests beforehand because unfortunately I became very sick and stayed in bed at another place. Staying at Imano was a waste of time and money. I'm unsure how they can have a high rating. Perhaps on the laurels of the staff? Whatever the case maybe, my advice...unless they have cleaned up the mold issue and housekeeping has gotten better, DO NOT STAY HERE!

+ When I ask to extend my stay they said it would be cheaper to extend in the morning. In the morning when I tried to extend they had given up my bed and had no more room. Totally disrespectful, it was a holiday and everything was full. I would have extended the night prior if they asked, so shameful

- Alcuni membri dello staff molto scortesi: la ciliegina sulla torta è stata non porter tornare al bagno ai piani perché mancavano soltanto 4 minuti all'orario check out- flessibilità zero! Anche per il check in no comment finché non scocca l'ora non si può avere il loculo! La "terrazza" della camera sporchissima, sono tornato dopo una settimana dal primo soggiorno e c'era ancora lo stesso sporco per terra, anche vecchi indumenti (ho fatto foto che non pubblicherò); anche l'unica mensola sopra al letto polverosa. Mi spiace per i ragazzi che puliscono le camere che sembrano molto molto gentili, e spero che mi perdoneranno, ma a mio avviso hanno bisogno di direttive più precise. Lavatrice utilizzabile 24/7 praticamente di notte sembra di avere un elicottero in camera! Ma tranquilli se gli ospiti non rispettano le regole tipo non fare casino di notte o altro, nessuno fa nulla e la risposta del ragazzo della reception è sempre questa: "it is what it is" fantastico! Se provi a lamentarti di dicono ok ti danno le spalle e se ne vanno🤣 Spero che questa recensione possa essere utile per rivedere qualcosa e migliorare il soggiorno di altre persone. Ringrazio comunque alcuni ragazzi e ragazze per la gentilezza.

- The SMELL was crazy and nasty… the DISRESPECT from everyone else in the room… also i went here to socialize and everyone was way too weird. It was so expensive for how bad the showers, bed and everything was. DO NOT GO HERE

+ Comfy beds and good location
- Trashy women, super loud and slam the door at all times. The workers here don't even speak English so they're useless and oh, you have to make your own bed (do the sheets) when you check in. I do not recommend staying here

- 味道非常不好，牆壁也沒粉刷，洗衣機壞掉不能用，床板不牢固，翻身會搖晃並發出聲音，很恐怖，睡起來不安穩，睡下舖的人是怪人，一直故意製造噪音。
+ I hesitantly booked this hostel as the rating was only ‘good’ and reviews were mixed but it was in a good location so thought I’d try it. Location is the only thing I liked about it.
- I checked into my dorm room and the whole room smelt of mould and I was like instantly like nope I cannot stay here. Also the dorm I was in was right next to the bathroom and had these exposed pipes next to my bed so you hear everything. Overall it was not that clean like all the hostels I stayed in and there’s much better places out there.

Acceptable only for proximity to Golden Gai
Seen mixed comments on this hostel. It’s sociable enough , made some friends there but also some people keep to themselves which is absolutely fine. You have to make ur own bed but not the end of the world it’s just the bottom sheet. Things to be aware of You do have to pay 100Y for a towel, and if you want a security box you just ask for one they give you a refundable deposit when you return the key. Great facilities, clean, fantastic location if u go out in golden gai area. Friendly staf...
The staff were nice. The bunk rooms smelled awful. To their credit, they cleaned them, but unfortunately the rooms continued to smell awful. It smelled like body odor and urine.
It’s $200 a night but your bed isn’t made and you need to RENT a towel? This is crazy, daylight robbery. The conversation areas are nice though as well as the atmosphere.
This hostel was lovely and clean. Staff were lovely and it is located in an absolutely great area of the city. I would say it was a bit more on the expensive side compared to other hostels but that may have been because it was easter weekend or because the location was great. But expect pretty crammed rooms.

(speaking only from my own experience) Common areas where fine, however the heat in my room was unbearable... With moisture that stuck in the walls, and a pungent smell of locker room
+ 共有スペース・設備が人数に対して十分な広さ、数が足りていて安心できました。スタッフさんも良かったです。
- しょうがないのですが、夜と朝、カーテン閉め切り&消灯のため暗く、身動きが取りづらかったです。特に遅くまで起きてたわけでも、朝すごく早起きしたわけでもないですが、真っ暗なのは不便なので何か対策いただけると嬉しいなと思いました。さすがに朝8時でも真っ暗だと退室時に忘れ物発生しそうです。 あと外国の方が多く、それは全然歓迎なのですが、文化的な違いで部屋の匂いがきつかったです。。。強い香水、体臭、どこかで吸って帰ってこられたのかタバコの匂い。。。すべてが混ざってとても心地悪かったです。強めの空気清浄機があれば大変ありがたかったです。

+ It is pretty compact
- Too noisy
Very solid spot. Classic hostel. Only complaint was that there wasn't a spot to lock up your luggage. They had lockers but they were only big enough to put a passport, wallet, computer, not a suitcase.
+ 清潔感があり、セキュリティも安心できるところ。ドミトリーだがマナーが良く、静かに眠れたのも良かった。
- 朝食が内容の割には少し高いかなと思った。

+ War Okay. Bin nur für zwei Nächte da gewesen. Es war fast immer sauber, das Personal war anwesend man hat es aber nicht gross gespürt. Alles ist in Laufweite erreichbar.
- Den Check in musste ich am Tablet durchführen, obwohl Personal anwesend war. Fand ich nicht so angenehm.
Nice hostel in a good location. Felt clean and safe. No complaints:)
+ Easy to come and go and short distance from the train station/metro.
- Not a very social hostel but excellent for a good value accommodation for a solo traveler.
