Not a great experience. Staff weren't accommodating and the hostel is geared to trust funders that don't mind paying for everything

Le + : Auberge bien située, pas loin du centre de Valladolid. Le personnel est très sympa. Le - : Il n’y a pas trop d’échanges entre les pensionnaires. La dernière nuit où j’y étais, en allant dans la salle de bain, il y avait des cafards dans la douche.

The family that run this hotel are so lovely and really helpful. The breakfast is nice. Location is perfect and close to lots of restaurants and shops. Lovely hot showers. Would be good to add curtains to the dorm beds. If you plan to rent a scooter for cenotes/ruins early in the morning, make sure you rent it the night before. We had a longer wait as other guests were trying to get a scooter at the same time in the morning too.

Great location, and super friendly owners and staff :) Jonathan recommended us shared transport to Chichen Itza and 2 cenotes which was great value for money. As lots of the other reviews mention, the breakfast is great and the owners are so friendly and make you feel at home!

Es war ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt. Die BertreiberInnen sind absolut hilfreich, mega freundlich und immer greifbar. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und wechselte in der steigt in der ich da war von Pancakes zu Rührei mit lokalen Zutaten. Es wurde jeden Tag sauber gemacht, weshalb es immer super ordentlich war. Die Lage ist top🙏🏽

Super cute small hostel, nice breakfast, good location. It’s an older building but generally clean. Really friendly staff with helpful recommendations and advice for things to do. Thanks! We hired the bikes to go a cenote which was great. Can be social or not just depends how many people are staying each night. Aircon was only at night but there was a fan as well so that was really all you need. The shower was cold twice in the evening. But all round a nice hostel.

This hostel was a really nice place to stay. The communal areas were nice and our 4 bed dorm was really nice with a good en suite too. The atmosphere in the hostel was very calm. Breakfast was tasty, but we were a bit disappointed with the rave reviews of breakfast that we read. We felt that every day we came away feeling really hungry. But overall, a really great place to stay!

Luis is a fantastic host, made me feel very welcome!

A fantastic hostel, one of the best we stayed at during our two month trip of Mexico. Luis was a wonderful host who went above and beyond to make our stay special. The dorms were nice and the showers were good and hot. Great kitchen which was well equipped. The garden was lovely for relaxing and the free breakfast was also lovely. The location was perfect, right next to the town centre but off the main square. Would highly recommend.

Stay here! This is a family run hostel and it shows. It’s in a great location, is super clean and well-organised and secure etc. But in addition, and what makes it stand out even more, is that the family members -Gabriella Luis and Jonathan -were so friendly genuinely warm and helpful as were their two staff. I opted for a private room with en-suite which had 3 single beds. A home cooked breakfast was served in the kitchen and enjoyed outside in the garden. Filtered Water was available. 🙏...

We stayed at Casa X’tacay for four nights and had an amazing experience. The staff were incredibly kind and gave us great tips for day trips and the best cenotes to visit. You can easily book tours through the hostel. The owner prepares delicious local breakfast and coffee every morning, which adds a lovely personal touch. They also rent scooters at a good price. Overall, a fantastic stay – we highly recommend it!

Great hostel, really friendly and helpful couple who own it. Breakfast was great and gave us loads of tips and helped to organise stuff for us to explore the area. Would definitely stay here again.

The hostel was the best Hostel during my trip! We felt extremely well and the staff felt like a big family to us. They always wanted to feel us at home. The breakfast was really good and the recommendations from the staff were xtremely worthful. A big thank you for the whole staff! I can highly recommend this hostel to everyone!

By far my favorite stay on my whole trip! The staff were SO warm and friendly but also gave people space when needed. The breakfasts were AMAZING and one of the staff is incredibly knowledgeable about the city so was able to help with literally any question - he has a website offering discounts on activities but he isn't pushy with it whatsoever: his advice saved us a lot of money. Facilities were great, they made the beds daily and everything was a breeze. I want to give it more stars!!

Basic hostel super close to the main square and easy to walk from the bus station. Amazing kind staff, simple facilities and great breakfast.

One of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed at. The owners are so friendly and helpful. Recommendations given were genuine and the home made breakfast each morning was delicious. Staying here was one of our highlights to our trip to Mexico.

Ich habe mich vom ersten Tag an wie zu Hause gefühlt. Die Besitzer sind unglaublich herzlich, und mein Einzelzimmer war sehr schön. Alles ist sehr sauber, die Küche ist zum kochen sehr gut ausgestattet und das Frühstück morgens war mit Liebe zubereitet. Falls ich nochmal in Valladolid bin, komme ich definitiv wieder hierher zurück.

Such an incredible place to stay in Valladolid! Great facilities, perfect location, the property and rooms are kept super clean, the outdoor space is lucious, and Jonathan and his family are so welcoming and go above and beyond to help you with anything you need. They have a wealth of knowledge about Valladolid and beyond. The cooked breakfasts in the morning for all the guests are incredible! Can't speak highly enough of this place

C’est sûrement le meilleur hostel où j’ai pu séjourné. Une ambiance familiale, les propriétaires et les employés sont d’une très grande gentillesse. La propreté est impeccable, les matelas et les oreillers sont désinfectés à chaque fois. Le petit-déjeuner est délicieux. Le wifi est excellent pour travailler, et le cadre est magnifique. Le matin on peut y voir des petits écureuils se promener dans les arbres. Merci pour cette expérience 🧳

Family run hostel with an amazing breakfast! The courtyard in the back is super relaxing and your room is cleaned spotless with your bed made up every day. The family is super helpful - everything from dinner plans to transfer arrangements to a mask and snorkel for cenotes! 10 out of 10.
