Bunk Hostel Delhi

The building is extremely poorly maintained. The air conditioning stopped working, and I woke up unnecessarily from the heat after a long journey. I stayed in a female dorm, and it was very uncomfortable having technicians in the room. Check-in took 40 minutes, longer than the journey from the airport. This place is really not worth it, and I deeply regret staying here.

Do not stay here as a backpacker. The rooms are full of locals and there is nothing going on. Guy at the front desk was friendly but they claimed to not have change and didn’t give us the full amount back. Rooms and toilets were not clean. Would never stay here again

Avoid if possible and book with another hostel. I recommend Zostel or Joeys if you can. Firstly, they would not give me my change for the payment and decided to keep the full amount. My stay was R461 so I paid R500 and without looking, they said they had no change but kept the full amount. I asked the following day for my change and again without looking refused. I have been very badly treated the last day. My shoes got lost, apparently somebody took them away. They have surveillance camera, but they did not use them. I had to insist a lot to make them check the rooms and talk with the manager. The manager said that he would have taken care of it the day after (after my departure), but for one week he was never replying to messages and calls. they acted as if I lost a pen or something with no value. I received not even an apology.

Would not recommend. The room was dirty, bedding had black footprints, unchanged sheets, no pillowcases. Bathroom smelled terrible, the ceiling mouldy, no TP provided. Reception wait time was ~45m long each. At checkout we were told that we’d received an upgraded room (no detectable difference) & needed to pay more. Didn’t track payments between reception and restaurant, pushed a double charge. Staff helped with train tickets, said +25% fee initially but then charged +60% in invoice. Very p...

Awful. DO NOT BOOK! Room was dirty, mattress sheets were not changed from previous guests. First room had animal faeces down the side of the bed. Furniture looked like it had come from the side of the street. Quilt and pillow had no covers. Asked on 3 occasions for sheets and pillowcases- 1st time was told there was non and had all gone off to laundry. Slept with our own clean blanket we luckily had. Providing basic amenities such as tissue roll was a chore. Room was damp and smelt of mould.

Its purely a budget stay, dont expect much. Must stay place, if you are pressed for budget.

overall, very dirty hostel. rooms were super cramped, barely fit my backpack through. there were food remnants around the room and washroom was just disgusting. chicken and hair in the sink. cheap hostel in good place but would never revisit. good i stayed only for a night.

Staff were helpful and friendly, location pretty good next to metro station. Not much to do (facilities) in the hostel so had to rely on finding something outside.

No curtain on the beds, the common areas are not maintained at all, the laundry service does not wash clothes but it soils them... I do not recommend
