Viajero Cartagena - Getsemaní Hostel

This hostal is a scam. It is very expensive and the services are very bad. It's a dirty hostal with prices of a hotel. I booked a private room, and you don't have any key for the door, you need to call the reception (that sometimes takes 5min) to open the door.

my friend's room was flooded, I was robbed, and someone else got roofied while we were there. the staff was snarky and unhelpful. I heard other people having issues with the front desk while I waited for my bus transfer. One of the bartenders has strange relationships with the guests that stay at her various properties. they give away free shots at 4am on the rooftop. the pool was nice and clean, but a bit cold. shower water would spill out onto the floor. water costs double at desk.

O hostel deixa muito a desejar. Pelas avaliações, eu esperava mais. Por vários dias tivemos problemas com a ÁGUA, de demorar horas pra conseguir tomar banho. A piscina também estava interditada. Há pouquíssimas atividades pra socialização. A limpeza também deixa a desejar, tinha uma barata no sofá do hall de entrada. Durante a madrugada várias pessoas falavam em voz alta. Tirando a localização, não achei que valeu a pena ter ficado no Viajero Getsemaní.

I have been to a lot of Viajeros in Peru and Colombia, this one had the worst Dorm of all of them. Smale Room without a Windows, the beds not as usual in Viajero but Standart Metal beds with old curtains. Mine was full of splashes Wallcolor. There are cheaper and better Hostels in this City, won't recommend this to you, espaecialiy Not for that expensive Price.

Good location. Rubbish atmosphere. Beds are old, falling apart and broken. Reception staff are helpful. Buchatta class was good but not enough room for everyone to dance. Expensive and unimpressive food. Viajero is very hit and miss and this one is a miss. Wouldn’t stay here again

Trust me stay at the OTHER Viajero if you want social with good vibe. This one has better facilities than the other but if you’re solo you don’t care about that. They have daily events but people barely show up. It’s always nearly empty at night for some reason. The volunteers are okay, staff are a bit transactional and aren’t anywhere as good as the Viajero Salento staff. Asked to move my final night to the other Viajero in Cartagena but was refused/denied. Wasted my days here sad...

Me gusta quedarme en los hostel de viajero por la experiencia de compartir con gente, pero acá fue pésimo. El encargado de las actividades(creo se llama andres)las cancelaba cuando habia fiesta que en un principio quiso cobrarnos a pesar de ser huésped y no quería darnos el trago de cortesía, fuimos al pub craw que fuefue pésimo porque solo nos llevaron a lugares que ponian electrónica y nada de cartagena. Marisol fue muy amable y nos ayudó mucho pero por el lado del encargado 0 recomend...

Such a poor viajero. Stay elsewhere in the city. Casa Zahri is nice. we moved. so dirty.

The staff here were absolutely fantastic and could not have been nicer. However the hostel is a mess. Maybe because it's new but basic things like no filtered water, badly designed dorm rooms, bathrooms a disaster with broken showers and so small you can hardly move. Hope they sort it out as staff and location are great but lots to iron out before it's as good as other hostels charging the same price.

Out of all Viajeros I have been to, this was the weakest one propably. Staff was great and the lobby was beautiful anyway!

Lovely spotlessly clean hostel in a perfect location.

10/10 experience! The manager was so kind and friendly, as was the staff. Angel was a delight. The rooms are big and clean and the air conditioning is lifesaving.

As someone who has traveled to many different countries around the world and stayed at many different hostels, Viajero Getsemani is great. The atmosphere is good, the rooms are cool and comfortable, the staff is very informative and hospitable, the location is excellent, walking distance to everything. The terrace / pool area is awesome and has fantastic views. Excellent place, I do recommend.

Beautiful roof top views, location perfect, value for money good. Actual rooms a bit old and worn, bathrooms werent in the best shape.

Overall an ok experience, staff was really friendly and helpful. Pool is rather small and not too much of a vibe when I was there. No option to fill your bottle with drinking water during the night. Couldn’t use my locker because it didn’t close and it had mold in it. Atmosphere was not to sociable during my stay. I think you find better hostels for the same price or cheaper. They ask to give reviews in exchange for a reward, so not sure if the rating is accurate.

O hostel fica muito próximo de tudo, então a localização é excelente. O rooftop também é bem animado, tendo atividades durante a semana. Os preços não são tao bons, mas condiz com a cidade que é pouco acessível. Os quartos poderiam ser melhores, acabei solicitando um upgrade para um quarto individual, pois a cama do quarto compartilhado estava bamba, e os armários eram pequenos e frágeis. No demais, tudo ok!
