HI Coimbra – Pousada de Juventude

It wasn't a typical backpacking hostel I expected. Looked more like immigrants living due to cheaper prices to save on rent. Didn't fins any travellers or that kind of social vibe was non existent with no common area or events etc.

Küche nicht benutzbar, Gemeinschaftsraum nicht benutzbar, duschen 1 Stockwerk tiefer. Die Duschen auf meinem Stockwerk sind aktuell nicht benutzbar und stehen voll mit Gerümpel. Frühstück erst ab 8:30 Uhr. Die Zimmertür muss immer abgeschlossen sein, sonst geht sie von selbst auf. Immerhin ist die Decke wasserdicht und auf Nachfrage funktioniert das WLAN. Für diesen Preis gibt es deutlich angenehmere Unterkünfte.

Mi estancia en este albergue no ha sido muy grata. He estado en albergues más baratos y con mejores condiciones. Creo esencial disponer de secador de pelo. No disponen de sala de estar para poder estar con algunos otros huéspedes. Se ve un albergue oscuro y triste. ´Aunque hay recepción 24h y hay mucha seguridad, no recomendaría este albergue. También mi cama estaba rota y inclinada. No he podido descansar bien. El desayuno normal.

Demasiado sucio y denso el ambiente

Not impressed. I hardly slept for 2 days. You can hear literally every step people take. Creaky floors and very thin walls. Very uncomfortable bed. Whole building is old and run down. Shower in women’s restroom was broken and falling apart. Not secure system with keys; you drop it in a bowl on your way out and get it when you come back - but it would be so easy for someone else to grab! Internet spotty. Only good thing: sweet/kind staff and breakfast spread and coffee were decent for the price...

Tanya is a very bad person. short haired receptionist should be fired. ignoring guests for over 25 minutes because the check in is at 18:00 so she CAN. Horrible way to start a vacation with negative person just enjoying others waiting for her. if I'm the boss i would fire her for her bad behaviour towards guests.

Seulement une employée parmi les 3 qui avaient durant mon séjour parlait anglais, les deux autres seulement le portugais. Il est indiqué sur l’application que le check in se fait de 00h à 23h mais en réalité c’est seulement à partir de 16h. Finalement, il y a qu’une seule prise dans le dortoir pour charger son cellulaire, et elle est derrière un des lits alors seulement la personne qui a le lit proche de la prise y a réellement accès

No kitchen, no stay room, shower bad

Propriedade totalmente sem manutenção. Uma única chave por quarto, ou seja, dividi 1 única chave com meus rommates (preferimos deixar o quarto aberto). O banheiro era todo pichado, com aspecto de abandono. Os itens do café da manhã são limitados por pessoa, apesar de incluso no pacote, e não tinha pão disponível no dia que me hospedei.

It has been an uncomfortable stay. Many basic things are missed in the room. I highly recommend you to avoid this place unless you are traveling with a very low budget as the price was reasonable.

Une auberge pas trop mal si on s'attend à être au calme. Elle peut sembler un peu loin du centre-ville mais si vous aimez marcher, il n'y a pas de problème. Le petit déjeuner est simple mais c'est assez et le personnel est chouette.

No hair dryers, a little bit inconvenient. The location is far away from the main sights.

Demasiado sucio y denso el ambiente

clean hostel in Coimbra with all the basics in there. it would have been nice to be a bit more social and to have curtains on the bed. the free breakfast is nice and the staff is very polite.

Las áreas comunes se encuentran muy bien, el desayuno estaba muy básico, lo que sí me pareció es que hace falta higiene en los baños y regaderas.

Pas de crochet ou de tablette dans les douches. Autrement, belle espace pour manger, petit frigidaire disponible. Espace pour bagage aussi. Personnel dispo ! Ambiance très calme.

A bit far away from the center. I was put in a room with an old man who was talking in his sleep and it felt a bit like in a hospital. Decent breakfast, but unfortunately no activities.

La struttura è nuova e ben curata. Si trova in una posizione favorevole per visitare la città. Il personale è molto gentile

Lindo hostel pero le faltan actividades

The hostel is pretty far from most of the things there are to do but is in a nice neighborhood, you just have to walk 30 minutes to do anything.

I really liked the hostel! It was very convenient to stay as it is close to University Coimbra and Praca do Republica from where you can go anywhere by bus. Maybe I would just advice to mention in the booking that you need a padlock to secure your luggage on your room.

Decent hostel to stay at. It’s not really a backpacking hostel, so there’s more a silent atmosphere and not much going on. Beds were fine, only a bit noisy. Toilets and showers were fine as well.

Excelente hostel, me sentí muy cómodo. Lugar limpio y agradable y en una posición ideal para recorrer puntos históricos en bajada.

Excelente custo-benefíco! Organizado, limpo, equipe atenciosa e um bom café da manhã. O único problema é a distância do centro e uma longa subida para quem vai a pé.

Bom local para ficar em Coimbra. Limpo e boa localização.

Absolutely amazing hostel. Spacious rooms, immaculately clean, good breakfast. Quiet place where you can rest. Thanks to the staff for the job you're doing!

Pretty alright, late check in was weird and very much no kitchen. Clean and free breakfast though:both good

I didn’t read before that the check in was 18.00 which is quite late.
