The Spot Central Hostel

+ J’aurais voulu dormir et me reposer.

- Il est 05h16 et je suis obligé de quitter votre auberge. La veille, un autre client a dû changer de chambre à cause des ronflements d’un occupant. En sachant cela, pourquoi nous avoir mis dans cette même chambre ? Pensiez-vous que nous étions sourds, ou testiez-vous notre patience ? On vient à l’hôtel pour dormir. Je n’ai même pas pu dormir dans le couloir du deuxième étage, malgré le petit canapé posé là. Vous laissez un numéro de contact, nous appelons et envoyons des messages — il ne fonctionne même pas. L’emplacement et la propreté sont corrects, mais si l’on ne peut pas dormir, cela ne sert absolument à rien.

- No me permitieron el acceso a la habitacion por no haber llegado antes de 12. No se me devolvio el dinero y la solucion fue que pague 60 euros una habitación privada cuando ya habia pagado, no la compartida por 10 sino por 3. Todo muy feo ya que tuve quw ir por trabajo a Bollullo y luego de una cena empresarial solo pretendia descansar. Una verguenza el trato y la falta de consideracion

- This was the worst experience of my whole trip in Spain, and this type of room really should not even be listed on Booking.com. What is sold is just one bed in a three-bed room, but the room is so tiny that there is absolutely no privacy. It feels like a stranger is literally sleeping right next to you – for some beds you actually sleep with another guest’s feet right by your head. I’ve stayed in many hostels and 3-bed dorms before, but this one is completely different because of the very small size, the strange bed layout and the extreme lack of privacy. As a solo female traveller, this setup felt unsafe and completely unsuitable for mixed-gender sharing, and it definitely did not feel like a normal hostel stay. There is no storage space in the room at all – not even a small table or locker – and no elevator, which makes it very inconvenient if you have luggage. They have some storage outside, but it’s not guaranteed if you arrive or ask late, so there is no secure place for your belongings. Because of all this, and because I really could not bear staying in such a tiny room with two men (one snoring very loudly), I asked for a room change or cancellation. The only option they offered was to pay another 70 euros to “upgrade” to a private room I didn’t need. In the end they were only willing to offer a half refund, after wasting a lot of my time. The manager even refused to speak with me on the phone and used “being on vacation” as an excuse – yet the property was still open and taking guests’ money. I am leaving this review not only because of the money I lost, but because I believe this listing is misleading and unfair to future guests, especially solo female travellers. At the very least, it should clearly state: “This is a very small room with only beds inside, no curtains, no storage and no privacy at all.”

- Habitación compartida, pero una muy pequeña, con 3 camas sin separación de ningún tipo ni siquiera un locker donde dejas las cosas. Calor, ronquidos y muchos olores por la noche al ser una habitación pequeña

- Tuve una reacción alérgica por el colchón mi piel se puso roja por días, todo mal, excesivamente mal, desagradable nivel exagerado

+ The location of the hostel was good, it was within walking distance to everywhere.

- There is no locker in the room where you can store and lock your luggage. In fact, there isn't even a hanger to hang your clothes. No chair was provided to dry the towel. The room only has a bed and a nightstand. Therefore, you have to leave your belongings in an insecure way at the head of your bed. My bed sheets were dirty and weren't changed for 3 days. There were traces of dead insects' blood on the wall. The room smelled. The bathroom was relatively clean, but there were not enough hangers there either. On the last day of my stay, I noticed bite marks on my arms and legs. I saw a doctor today, and they said it was flea bites. I am constantly itching. This is not a hygienic place at all. I hope I haven’t caught any other diseases. Definitely, don’t consider staying here. Maybe, besides fleas, lice could also be transmitted.

Según se indicaba en su sitio web y en la página de Booking, en caso de llegada después de las 00:00, era necesario contactar con el hostal para solicitar acceso. Siguiendo dichas instrucciones, llamé al establecimiento a las 20 de la noche. Inicialmente, el recepcionista se negó a abrirme la puerta y afirmó que perdería mi dinero, a pesar de que le indiqué que esta condición estaba claramente establecida en las normas. Tras insistir, finalmente accedió. Al llegar al hostal, alrededor de las 00:15, presenté mis documentos para realizar el check-in. Como había extraviado mi DNI durante el viaje, mostré una foto de mi tarjeta de residencia junto con otros documentos válidos que acreditaban mi identidad. No obstante, el recepcionista se negó a aceptarlos, lo que me obligó a solicitar la intervención de la Policía Nacional. Alrededor de las 03:00, los agentes verificaron mis documentos y confirmaron su validez, por lo que el recepcionista debía permitirme el acceso. Sin embargo, se negó a hacerlo incluso tras la instrucción policial. Ante esta situación, los agentes me indicaron que procediera a presentar una denuncia contra el hostal. Dado que el establecimiento incumplió las condiciones de la reserva y se negó injustificadamente a prestarme el servicio contratado, exijo la devolución inmediata del importe pagado. Agradecería su pronta respuesta y resolución de este asunto. Atentamente,

+ The person at the front desk was helpful and the location was good.

- The room I booked had bed bugs and I got a few bites that took a week to heal. I would have left immediately however it was late and the person at the front desk offered to move me to another room for the night. They didn’t have any other rooms available after that and I ended up having to book another hotel that cost twice as much. The manager offered a partial refund which is stingy considering how bad the experience was. Good customer service would have been offering a full refund and recommending alternative places to stay. Instead the manager did the bare minimum. Bed bug bites suck. Don’t risk it.

+ Świetna lokalizacja, bardzo przyjazna, przyjemna obsługa, czysto, spokojnie. Super opcją jest taras przy dobrze wyposażonej kuchni, wymiana książek, czy szuflada z jedzeniem do wykorzystania. Polecamy.

+ Mi è piaciuta la posizione super centrale ma allo stesso tempo silenziosa e accogliente. Il personale molto disponibile a darci tutte le informazioni richieste. La cucina ha tutto il necessario per cucinare e il roof è davvero bello

+ Buena ubicación y el personal respondió con educación cuando reporté un problema durante mi estancia.

- Durante la noche dejé comida en un tupper en la nevera común y por la mañana había desaparecido; encontré el recipiente sucio en la pila. Fue una situación desagradable, especialmente porque estaba compitiendo ese día. El hostel respondió correctamente cuando lo comuniqué.
