The staff was kind and available. Unfortunately the value for money is terrible!
Room had an horrible smell, shower was dirty and there was garbage under the bed.
Toen we aankwamen om 16.30 uur, wilden we naar de kamer toe. Toen bleek de housekeeping nog bezig te zijn met onze kamer in orde maken, dus moesten we daar eerst op wachten. Ondanks de housekeeping, stonk het ontzettend naar zweet op de kamer! Dus we hebben eerst de ramen goed open gezet om te luchten. De kamer was daarnaast erg klein, het bed kraakt en de deken is veel te dun voor in de winter. We hebben €230,- betaald voor 1 nacht en daar zat nog geen ontbijt bij in. Dus de kwaliteit was erg...
When we arrived at 4:30 pm, we wanted to go to the room. Then it turned out that the housekeeper was still busy cleaning our room, so we had to wait there first. Despite the housekeeping, it smelled so sweet on the room! So we first had the windows open well to let the air in. Les locaux sont vétustes , l’atmosphère étouffante .. pas de local vélo alors qu’il est précise le contraire sur internet , je suis obligé de monter mon vélo dans la chambre .. petit déjeuner à 11 euros !!
The premises are old, the atmosphere is stifling .. no local bike whereas it is accurate the opposite on the internet, I am forced to mount my bike in the room .. breakfast at 11 euros !!
Die Lage des Hostels ist sehr zentral, aber dementsprechend auch sehr laut. Im Hostel wurden zwar die Handtücher jeden Tag ausgewechselt, jedoch waren die frischen Handtücher teilweise fleckig. Gesaugt wurde in meinem 5-tägigen Aufenthalt gar nicht, sodass sich viele Haare auf dem Boden des Badezimmers sammeln konnten. Generell war das Zimmer extrem staubig, auch bei Einzug. Das Bett war extrem klein und es gab nur insgesamt zwei Steckdosen im Zimmer. Für 100€ die Nacht nie wieder.
The location of the Hostels is very central, but accordingly also very noisy. In the Hostel, although the Handbags were changed every day, however, the fresh Handbags were partly flecked. Gesaugt was not at all in my 5-day stay, so that many Hairs could collect on the bathroom floor. Generally the Room was extremely sturdy, even at Einzug. The Bed was extremely small and there were only two outlets in the Room in total. For 100€ the night never again.
Personal inkompetent, kann nicht einmal wirklich gut Englisch und die meisten haben dauernd nur Serien auf dem Smartphone angeschaut. Zudem war das Zimmer sehr stark verschmutzt, dass ich erstmal die Putzkolonne anrücken ließ bevor ich das Zimmer wirklich betreten hatte, denn es lagen überall Brösel auf dem Boden und auch auf der Bettdecke. Das einzig positive war dass es in der Nähe des Hbf liegt und ich somit keinen weiten Weg zum Zug hatte.

Dirty and noisy. It is super close to the train station and cathedral but that’s all the nice things I can say about it. The rooms are very dirty and look like they haven’t been properly cleaned. It is also on a super busy street so there is constant noise and also sketchy people walking by constantly and yelling. I felt very unsafe here as a solo female traveller. The staff looked like they wanted to be there as much as I did. Spend a little more money and stay somewhere else… anywher...
I was disappointed with the accommodations for the price of the ensuite. The location was convenient to the train station.
Wish it wasn’t over $500.00 for my stay; due to the FIBO convention happening this past weekend. Should had been abit cheaper.

Great Budget Hostel. Perfect location if taking the train to Koln bfk. Staff was friendly with great local recommendations for food. The rooms basic but all you need and clean.

Stayed for 2 nights in a single room. Location is perfect and walkable to everything. I walked from the station at 8:30pm and felt fine as a female solo traveller. Staff were friendly and polite. Room was clean and a decent size.
didn’t see anyone the whole time i was there! only spoke to one staff member on checking in at 10pm ish. fine for a short stay (2 nights in my case, in a private room) but good location around a 10 minute walk from the hauptbahnhof and 5 minutes from the dom. good if you want privacy for a night or 2!
Very good location: close to the cathedral (3 min walking) and main train station (5 min walking). The personnel were normal nice. Common areas are limited to just a small-medium size cafeteria with around 11 tables and 22 chairs. Storage and WiFi available. I stayed at a private single bed room because it was the only one available. Bedroom and bathroom were clean and in good conditions. The only thing was that the sockets were not very stable. Also, there was a chair but no desk (just weird).
Great location, good price and clean
The hostel is nice enough, but staying here felt more like staying at a budget hotel because there's simply no common areas other than the breakfast area? The room was perfect and if you're not solo traveling or meeting people through other means (which is what I luckily ended up doing, I used the Hostel World chat), this is a nice place to stay at, but there's genuinely just nowhere to meet people. The location was amazing as well tho, I really enjoyed walking by the Dom multiple times a day, I...
It was perfect for my needs! And thanks again to Luzie at the desk. She was incredibly helpful and forthcoming. The facilitys are a bit older, but clean. The location is perfect. U are close to most of the sights an to the trainstation: all in walking distanz. The Dom I'd see from my window. In the hotel it was calm (perfekt if you want to avoid the drunk and get up early to make the most of your day). The last day I had to leave bevor breakfast, so they let me in a bit early to get something...

The best stay I have had for last two years in Europe(I cannot recall ones before)
Super decent hostel, very close to the station which was what I wanted as was only in cologne for the night. Check in and check out was easy, wifi was good, facilities were clean and everything worked. Didn’t see many other people when I stayed but also was out most of the day.

Very basic hostel, but incredibly difficult to sleep with the Dom bells ringing every hour, even at night. Really poorly insulated windows. This noise wasn't made clear in the post of the property on here.
Nice and central. Cost to the Central Station and Cologne Cathedral Unfortunately the lift broke down whilst I was here. Which meant, climbing 3 floors to get to and from my room
